I don't get it. Why is it important to use English competency as a yardstick to gauge a person's worth? I think, that, in itself, is a sign of collective LOW ESTEEM of some particular communities. 每一個都講的好好
对于只识得讲广东话的人（尤其讲惯香港那种懒音），他们的舌头发力相对弱很多，所以很多要用到舌头发力的音都读的不准。
对于只识得讲普通话的人，他们发不出喉塞音，例如你听内地人讲粤语嘅“一”同“七”，他们会念成类似普通话的“鸭”同“车”，所以他们念it的时候常常会念成i-te，没办法控制声门去收那个t的音。
入声字唔系喉塞音，只能发喉塞音反而系普通话人士，因为除咗零声母字外，粤语人士根本唔发喉塞音，而系入声字。
喉塞音国际音标系/ʔ/，同其他三组入声字完全唔一样。唔计零声母字，有发喉塞音只有吴语、晋语、江淮官话入声字完全“舒化”前嘅音--入声字舒化过程，系-p、-t韵尾合并入-k韵尾，系两宋时就已经发生，所以宋词中押入声字嘅韵，都多多少少有错误，而-k韵脚到元明前后就演变为/ʔ/音，呢个就已经唔算入声了，呢个音其实只系停顿一下。如“西安”，普通话，“西”同“安”之间其实有个顿点，如果无，粘连埋讲就好容易变成xian（"鲜"音），所以一定会有个顿点，呢个顿点就系“喉塞音”，只不过呢个音并不是入声字“舒化”嘅结果，因为“西”原本就唔系入声字，会有呢个音，因为佢系因为“安”个声母，而呢个声母为零声母，古人称呢种声母为“影母”，同影子一样，有光先出现，所以零声母系词语中先会“体现”出其存在感。
