- Hello from me with an update about upcoming posts while I am visiting France. Sorry to have missed recent posts but real life got in the way (as only a husband needing a root canal can) but I am ready to hit the ground running now.

Thank you, dear Gilly. Gabriel is putting up with a lot - he is in pain and will be seeing a dentist Tuesday so fingers crossed. But things are much calmer now all the same and I am trying to distract him with beautiful, old paper. As he is an academic with zero interest in art, it is an uphill effort. 😮But I keep trying! That paper lace is amazing. I think the things like that we see made today are generally made with lasers, but I guess those were made some simpler way. They look so rare and fine. Glad you are having so much fun. Speedy recovery for your honey!
Hi Denise, these are extraordinary fine and my guess is they were made with some kind of 19th century punch. I love these so much - it is unusual to find so many in such good condition. As you can imagine, one fingernail put the wrong way can make mincemeat of these poor cards! More soon. Kelly

In Britain we have an NHS dentist that keeps our dental costs wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy down (there is a cost but as it is not for profit it is very little) and having to go private - well, let's just say that one could buy a lot of pastry with that chunk of change. 😮🙄But things are looking brighter! Catherine, it's been on the crazy side of hectic. 🙄😮Gab went back to the UK in the end as we could not find a French dentist, after calling 14 and visiting several in person. Yikes. He is getting it done on Tuesday. 😺

Hi Gene. I bought about 500 (!). Didn't see that one coming. Email and let me know what you have in mind or maybe after I show some of them in the What's New video. All of them are from the 1800s and in crazy good shape. I can do a job lot if you want. K.
