You all probably dont care but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
Did a bike fit a couple of years ago since i got neck problems on my longer rides. The bike fit found the issue and ever since i enjoyed the rides again, absolutely worth it....
Had a bike fit at Matt's place a couple of weeks back but can't ride due to broken ribs - frustrated! I'd be really interested in both your subjective impressions of feel and your objective speed metrics Fraser. My pedal stroke instantly felt more fluid 🙂
Would a bikefit be recommended for a complete beginner? Someone only doing about 50-80km/week. After a knee injury it has left me reluctant to get clipless shoes/pedals incase i get injured again. Any advice welcome.
HumaneNewt yes definitely get one, beginners have a lot more to gain, and they should ask you your history and check your mobility and get you pedaling to keep that knee in good shape, clipped in or with flat pedals.
I really wonder why this clip has some dislikes. this is useful or irrelevant for you, but how can there be any reason to dislike? I have had bikes fitted and still contains info that is nice to get.
Hi Fraser,Having watched this Bike fit video and the Celtman I was wondering what your thoughts are on the fit.Matt touched on the Tension You get in your back/shoulders.Did the Fit solve this?Having followed your progress since Your Wimbleball days when You would fly past Me on the hills Im really interested in Your feedback. As an Age-grouper Im thinking perhaps I should invest in a proper fit as well.
I have had bike fittings for my road bike, cross bike and TT bike. No issues while training for and participating in bike and triathlon races of 80 to 100 km. I just noticed during my last middle distance that I moved quite Forward.Next year I will have my first long distance competition. I feel I need to undergo another fitting to optimise aerodynamics and comfort.
I love the religion of bikefit - "But my bike fitter says...." - "That might be very well, but you constantly have a pain in your knees...So maybe your bike fitter is not that good".
Jesus Punlay they touched on it briefly, but sometimes you have to go wider and it gives you the room to shrug your shoulders which is more aero. Since holding the position is what’s most important go as wide as you need to and don’t worry about anything your sacrificing.
I found this video a bit short and disappointing and to lack actual bike fit tips. It's not very useful to anyone but Fraser. It could have been a lot more educational if they walked us through the process: what the ideal saddle height would be, how much fore/aft should there be in the saddle, what changes he made to the cleats, how high should the handlebars be, how long of a stem, where should the elbows rest, what kind of angle should the elbows be at relative to the shoulders, and on and on and on. All I got from the video is that a bike fit would be extremely useful/beneficial for aerodynamics and comfort which I suppose is a good lesson but did we really not already know that?
@Fraser Cartmell i didn't ment to offend you. congratulations on your great career, I just thought as part of striving for greatness is do what it takes including have a bike fit. That's all. Love the channel.
Have you had a bike fit and did you find it useful? Let us know!
hahaha got your number plate!!
No, but I would like to. I am also interested in what prices is a bike fit done professionally ?
Isn't having your arms up high like Floyd Landis supposed to be faster than a regular position?
@@ForgottenKnight1 here in Germany it costs around 200€. I think you have to invest in this ballpark.

I want to see a TT at your before and after fit just to see how much you saved

i really like matt bottrill!
This is me, I don’t have any pain and generally have a lot of success. I have a self selected fit. I guess I have to go get fit now this winter...
I love you guys keep up the great work
Thank you for the video. You have inspired me to try moving outward the elbow pads on my bike.

Thanks you’re sharing
FLEE SPEED?? haha! i love how he rolls the "r" sometimes like a spanish.
Awesome & Thanks :)
You could have made a lot more from this session. Way too short. Just gets going then it’s finished.
I would do anything for this level of quality bike fit!
Pay for one?
Thanks!! What about the crank length? Do longer athletes need longer cranks?
That was really interesting 😊

Did he just pull out his bike from the trunk with BOTH wheels on? Whaaaaaaat sorcery is this!!?

What aero extension model you ended up picking for the new bike fit?
I have the same BMC , where can I purchase those risers to get that angle on the elbow pads ?
What did he do to your saddle to stop the rocking?
Graeme Obree's position is still legal in USAT triathlons. Anyone wanna try a bike fit for that?
Sorry for the rant, but for the love of god does color on a bike suddenly now make you slower???? Oh liked the video :)
I love the religion of bikefit - "But my bike fitter says...." - "That might be very well, but you constantly have a pain in your knees...So maybe your bike fitter is not that good".
Where’s the notorious 90 degree angle at the elbow? He’s stretched out big time, is this optimal?
What is the rear box on the bike? I don't think this was on the bike during the celtman race?
What is your bike model ?
Couldn't the shift to one side be caused by a muscle imbalance that isn't fixed by changing the bike setup?
@Fraser Cartmell ok, great. I was really just curious about how to fix something like that :)
I find the closer the elbow pads are, the less time I’m able to hold that position. Any tips on shoulder pain while in aero?
Jesus Punlay they touched on it briefly, but sometimes you have to go wider and it gives you the room to shrug your shoulders which is more aero. Since holding the position is what’s most important go as wide as you need to and don’t worry about anything your sacrificing.
I want more swimming technic informations
More on the way 🙂
Thank you very much
There were no tips other than get a bike fit; what were the angles?
Is this actually his race bike tho? I have a feeling he brought in his backup bike to avoid making changes to his preferred way he’s always ridden LOL
No? This is the bike he rode at Celtman 🙂
Fraser Cartmell Nice! Were there adjustment “pains” during training after the bike fit?

I did a TT bike fit recently, but I don't think the guy was so good, I have massive pain in my shoulders, and he cannot fix it!
You look really stretched out over your bars. Surprised you find this comfortable. I just had a Rëtul fit and I’m not nearly as far out as you are.
Way too short video to be useful.
I am sorry, but I just can't understand why in hell you didn't get a professional fit when go faster is your job !!
@Fraser Cartmell i didn't ment to offend you. congratulations on your great career, I just thought as part of striving for greatness is do what it takes including have a bike fit. That's all.
Love the channel.
Mostly useless.
