It's the most unfun thing about killer sometimes is just not being able to use your power! Never realized how bubba can't really use his power on Saloon until playing as bubba on Saloon and realizing how the whole map is just windows and can't "power through all the pallets with the saw". Certain maps just SUCK for certain killers! I honestly believe most killers have like 3 maps they are great on, and every other map is an eyes roll on a scale of 1-10 😂

I just have to say Im a huge fan. Youre so right in the sense that alot of people would love to learn the game if they realized how simple it is (including myself). There are tons of guides out there on HOW to loop something, but they usually have examples showcasing them in a custom game solo, or just killer matches meaning youd have to look at both videos to understand whats going on. Your guides showcase BOTH scenarios which is super helpful. Have you ever thought about bringing a styptic and map offering just to see the killers reaction to these types of chases for content? XD

Ain't no fans mate its all friends and fam! The only people I consider "viewers" are people that have gotten banned...but continue to watch. I'm pretty lenient on bans so if someone was banned they definitely deserved it 😂
Also, EXACTLY!!! This is maybe the only pvp game where can take a friend into a custom game, show them a strong loop, then use map offering and camp the strong loop all game, then "juice" the killer on that strong loop! Even looping with friends when its a strong loop that is large like Saloon! It's like the only pvp game where you can tell someone "run here then do this" and it literally actually works! Don't gotta worry about doing all of that, AND hitting the headshot or it didn't matter like in fps!

Was a Plauge killer with me and a random solo queue teammate left remaining. I finished the final gen, but the killer found me right next to main.
Suddenly I have a flash back to you using that window and how effective it was, so I gave it a shot and hoped for the best.
I got 3 loops around the building thanks to using it, and right after it was blocked, ran and used the pallet by the crates inside to stun the killer. Thankfully during all that time, the Nea had gotten the gate open, and I made a made dash for it to just barely escape.

Hitting the fast vault on that window next to breakable wall is the thing that I wouldn't be able to replicate easily.
Learning how to just instantly make a decision about running around the boxes as soon as LoS on the killer is broken and you get Any Doubt about where the killer is at that moment in time is great and might be the best skill I get from watching your videos.

    • @Mr_TatorHead
      @Mr_TatorHead  4 месяца назад +1

Just gotta think about waiting to hit the vault button until the last second! the good thing is this can be practiced in chases running straight at windows! This develops the muscle memory for those tighter windows where the timing is much more strict! Same way tight looping can be practiced at all times going anywhere on the map!
And that is exactly what the map knowledge is for! knowing the 50/50 that is going to happen is a HUGE advantage that literally just boils down to knowing where to run and what direction to run once you get there! I'm glad these are helping! Got TONS more on the way!

I wish I had all the longer vids done so that could make a bunch more of these more often! there is no way to tell the full story of any single loop in a short video due to the smaller amount of examples, then I could do a few of these a week! I have been considering doing some shorter videos on maps that have not been done yet like borgo's marketplace and gallows in the style of the hawkins guide, it just feels a little bad to point someone in the direction of how to loop something, only for them to try to run a killer that a particular tile might not work on, and not have the longer guide to immediately reference for those troubles!

Ok. I rarely comment on YT but that is gonna be an exception. I stumbled upon your channel a few days ago - I think it was the preschool map tutorial. I must say, that in my opinion, this is the best DBD channel out there. I started loving DBD because of my affection for games, that are "easy to learn and hard to master" - where you really need to polish that skill. I have 2,5k hours played right now and now I understand, that I've lost myself in that game - it's started to be more of a "pick a perk to get lucky". But what you do is genuinely amazing. And yes, it is not about tryharding - it is about being smart. I do not think I'll ever get to that level.
You're great. Patient, smart and respectful to everyone. I hope you get the fame you deserve. We need more guys like you. All good to you sir.

The funny thing about dbd is that it can totally be played that way and that's 100% ok! If after bartending for 18 hours and coming home to load up some dbd the last thing on my mind would be trying to study the game it would be having fun as an outlet! I did that for a while with old dead hard/iron will back in 2020! Would just run a circle spreading scratch marks everywhere then leave the tile completely silently due to the now nerfed Iron Will, and if the killer came around the corner before I could leave I'd just dead hard to the pallet and throw it! Had no idea how to loop at all and had like 1k hours this way! It's just crazy how in dbd the "true skill" is actually very simple as opposed to an FPS where there would be no way to immediately improve a friends gameplay with something as simple as "run this way!" You can be in the right place, at the right time, making the right play in FPS and still miss the shot, then they turn and get a headshot on you!

Thank you so much for these short guides! Not only there's a lot of maps to remember, especially the ones that have many variations on which you have to know their differences, but then RNG comes into play and changes them even more. It can get a bit confusing for a casual player. So, to know a guaranteed good loop or two on each map is very useful so I'm not completely useless in chase and doom my teammates.
I've learned a lot from your big RPD guide but every time I search for a game, I think - what are the chances of going there? I'll be terrible on other maps. Now, I'm ok going on Dead Dawg, Larry's or Game, because I always know there's a loop there I know from your videos. Now, I'll know to use this one. Thanks so much!

      @Mr_TatorHead  4 месяца назад +1

That's what map offerings are for! I know killers hate most of them but most killers wouldn't be annoyed with Saloon or Lerys offering! Idk why killers hate rpd so much Ill be honest! Theres not really an OP loop or anything (besides east roof top) and a fair chunk of killers absolutely slay on rpd! Yet most killers hate it for some reason 😂
Most maps really do have some sort of safe setup/tile! There are a few tricky maps that don't but those maps are usually huge and holding w is awful for the killer (like Rotten Fields)!

These ones are SUPER easy to make not going to lie! I just like having the longer ones to reference for when its a different killer with a different power that would force the loop to work differently, and can go more in depth with more examples there! That way if someone tries a loop the way it wouldn't work against a different killer there is an immediate longer more in depth guide that would probably have the example there or at least the counterplay possibly explained!

Leaving the comment for the Tator. Caught your stream yesterday! Can't wait to see what you do with Ormond. I sighed when you mentioned saving "thousands" of hours looping that pallet, because it's true. I never thought to use that stupid crate pile. As I said before, we don't deserve you. Going live at 4:20pm ET on Mondays - Fridays! and doing open lobbies all the way until rank reset! Then it's back to soloing up to iri 1! Ormond guide will hopefully only take 2 weeks! But might take 3 to get done! But 3 at most!
Storehouse was the first loop I ever found to be so strong, and even then, still took me until a few months ago to think about looping the crates! Even after looping the fence on Eyrie, just never thought about it! Theres some big crates in the middle on Gideon I just started looping too! It's just funny revisiting old tiles with new mindsets and actually have them be seemingly completely changed!

Very good video, I loved it. As a bit of feedback, I couldn't really follow what you meant, when you explained the loop in customs, but the gameplay really made it clear what you mean, when you said switching over to the bad window, the little loop-di-loop around the one stall and such. If it's not to much of additional work, I think a visual guide, while you explain would go a long way, just basically a paint image of the tile with some arrows on how to run while you talking. Otherwise, loving the content, right now I work my way through all the stuff so I have a plan every time I get into chase, instead of throwing the first pallet and holding W.

Another thing which I could see working is stopping the live footage in decision making moments and explaining the thought process behind the pathing, but maybe only the first two times, since 'now I run to this pallet, because I reach the window, now I can run back to the window because the distance I got from greeding the pallet' etc might get repetitive. But still, this is easily the most accessible looping guides I have come across.

A decent while ago, I faced a Legion who killed everyone but me, then when they finally downed me, spent almost my entire bleedout timer bming, then brought me to the hatch to close it in my face then finally hook me. It really got to me, ruined my day, forced me to take a week off of the game, but it also made me realize that there's no point in letting those kinds of people get to me.
More recently, I had a Bubba who did the exact same thing minus the baiting hatch, so I just sat on my phone for 5 minutes waiting for the match to finally end, then filed a report and moved on to my next match. I'm still laughing about how ridiculous that person was.
I think bming is completely unnecessary and anyone who does it shouldn't play any sort of online game, but if someone takes genuine minutes out of their life and someone else's just because they thinks it proves a point or makes them almighty or whatever, well, let's just say I hope they get the help they so very desperately need.
After a week and a half of thinking, I wanted to come back to this comment and add a couple of things.
In terms of the "help they need" bit, I can see a great number of people saying something to the effect of "it's just a game, thinking someone needs psychiatric aid over a game probably means something for yourself..." and I just want to say to that that it's not about it just being a game. It's about the bming specifically. Because bming exists, the game is merely a medium for these people to be toxic and hurtful.
If it weren't for the game, it's entirely possible that they'd, for example, go out to a store, see one of something left on a shelf, see someone going for it, run for it and grab it before the other person can, then spend 5+ minutes laughing at them about it, even following them around the store because they'd obviously just walk away. Now, the one and only difference between that behavior and doing it on a video game is that doing it in real life is genuinely illegal - could and likely would be a swift harassment charge. However, harassment is one of many reportable offenses in the game, so while it may not have real life legal consequences, it is still illegal, in a way.
Back to the point though, aside from the legal consequences, being toxic in the game is no different from being toxic in real life. You're probably now saying "well sure, but that's still someone getting mad over a video game, so you getting mad at them is getting mad at a video game by proxy" and while I agree with that to a point, that ties back to the video game merely being a medium. If, say, you were driving on the road, then you manage to get passed a yellow light before it turns red, but someone behind you doesn't, then that someone gets mad at you for it, they're getting mad at a red light, but is you getting mad at them for being mad at you you getting mad at a red light by proxy? No, it's not, because it doesn't make sense, does it?
And now I can see you saying "horseshoes and hand grenades" but it's really not. It's someone getting mad over something innocuous, in both instances, and you getting mad that the person is getting mad over something innocuous. They're mad for a stupid reason, you're mad because they're living such a miserable life that they get mad over essentially nothing. They are not the same.
All that being said, though, I am in no place to try and tell people how to live their lives. If someone wants to waste several minutes of multiple peoples' lives for genuinely no reason, just because it makes them feel better or powerful or something, I do think they need help, but it is their life, so they are entirely allowed to live it that way.

However on characters that dont slow themselves, or just hold foward and bloodlust, i can seemingly be at the best setup in the game, and still get hit. Wondering if theres any trick to making distance easier?

Glad to hear it mate! Survivor is the easier side to play imo so its always funny watching a killer main friend switch to survivor and struggle a bit! But its really just figuring out all the little things to do in most scenarios that give you the best chance!
It sounds like you are doing it right! What is happening to you is what I'm usually telling people when they call any loop an "infinite" or "overpowered"! If the killer paths as efficiently as survivor, and they have them in chase, the windows will block and bloodlust will also help! The problem is most killers don't want to just force a window block or bloodlust, they want to come up with a play to outplay the loop! But if they know the loop and how to path it, bloodlust and windowblocks are what balances them out! Most maps the killer doesn't have to guard the strong main buildings gen, but then there are maps like Badham that have multiple strong main buildings with gens that need to be guarded. Those are the maps that are more problematic despite not having one single loop be as strong as this one here!

These ones are the Hifiman He1000se! This was one of the pairs of headphones I got to keep while reviewing headphones as a side gig! This was one of the pairs that didn't really sell too well since when the stealth magnet technology was passed down from the Susvara to the He1000, most people buying very top headphones would have just bought the Susvara anyway. So I got to keep this pair! It's even going for like half the release price already and headphones prices don't usually drop at least not by much for usually a few years! If high end headphones are your thing or looking to get into it, I think this pair is a GREAT buy since you don't need a super beefy amp to be able to run them! And hey EQ spectacularly! If looking for high end purely gaming, I would suggest the Sennheiser HD800s as they have the best Imaging out there! They need a beefier amp to maximize though!
The biggest regret of reviewing headphones was having to return both the Audeze LCD4 and the Meze Empyreans. Lowkey 2 of the saddest days of my life 😂

Also a lot of the too-strong-for-survivor maps have been/are being reworked as well! They even pushed generators from being 80 seconds to finish to being 90 seconds to finish! • @Mr_TatorHead

Everything you said is true! This building's longer window used to be an actual infinite and they nerfed it, so there are definitely some older players as well that just never gave thought to how else to loop it! I was guilty of that for a while!

We could get WAY more people playing dbd if it was more like this! The amount of people I know that are still playing halo 2 or 3, because they like being extremely competent at a game, but don't want to put in the time into another game to get competent, that would absolutely love this game is INSANE! They think survivor sounds "too sweaty" and "take too long to git gud" and I'm like BRUH!!! There is literally nothing as challenging on survivor, as getting a single snipe headshot kill in halo! But as it stands its like "you need 4k hours to play at a comp level" and it REALLY shouldn't be that way! It's just with over 40 maps and 36 killers it takes a while to learn! But its like the only pvp game I have ever played where you can give simple instructions like "run to that window then go that way" then suddenly you are a "cracked" survivor that is "juicing" the killer! Even on your first match with the proper direction!
Also shit like that can make solo queue AMAZING! None of the 5 gen chases I have have been even top 20 longest chases I've ever had! They're just the ones where the gens got done! But in one of those typical solo queue matches where the gens don't get done, you can end up running the killer for 10 minutes!
