I agree. I wish all Indians speak like this. He does not have any put-on Western accent, but at the same time speaks clearly with a good diction, and a trace of Indian accent - but a nice accent. I am in the UK, and frankly now find it almost impossible to decipher when many of the young Indians speak (particularly the young North Indians), because for whatever reason they seem to think they need to imitate the American/Western accent. But in the process, they end up with a mish-mash and a poor/unclear diction, and worst of all they speak incredibly fast (as if they are an Express train desperate to get out the words out of their mouths as fast as possible). The South Indians are somewhat clearer in their diction, maybe because they do not try to put on a false American accent to the degree some of the young North Indians do. All that the people need to do is speak slowly, and clearly and without putting on any fake accent - just as the gentleman in this video. And it sounds so perfect!

The video felt like a lecture in a top B school. I personally used this strategy last year and made some profit in Asahi Glass and then got greedy and trapped at 598. However, I still think for beginners like me, this was the best way to go. I wish to learn more from your immaculate presentation skills and like-minded thought process. Thanks Shankar as always with 1. Quality and useful video 2. Sharing not only knowledge but also the work did. Both these characteristics make you one of my most favorite Finance RUclipsr. I still can't understand why you are still underrated in terms of subscribers. You should be leading the group honestly. Keep up your good work!
So nice of you, thank you for kind words. Honestly, it's a trick many fall into by measuring a channel on the basis of subscribers. For instance - reaching 1 million subscribers is not that difficult and publishing 1 short a day for 7-8 months or topics like "best mutual fund" will get me there. In my view, this is a problem because in many case, a large non-targeted viewership seeps into the channel and over time, the views start falling. E.g. Rachana (who has done a incredible job over the last 3-4 years) seems to be going through that phase. She's has 48 lakh subscribers, is still clocking 40k subscribers every month but is having only 100k views per day. The reasons can be many although I think it's more of viewer fatigue -- which is something my channel will also go through over time I've been looking at these phases and assessing RUclips from a viewer & creator perspective has been helpful. My own read is that -- out of the 150k subscribers I have now or wherever I reach, it will come down to just 5-10k loyal fans who will continue with me & subscribe to the valuable services (like newsletter, community, smallcase etc.) I plan to introduce over the months & years. This suits me perfectly as I want to work with & for a smaller number of patrons and do more for them. Infact, let me close this with something I observed recently. So, I've had around 75 1:1 consultation calls and of the 75, only 8 persons had ever posted a comment on my channel. Which means 90% of the people who paid, discussed & got value from those interactions were a part of the silent majority. If I had assumed that only the ones who comment are the loyalists (much like how everyone says "underrated" and "subscribers"), then I would have been wrong. There's a bigger chunk out there and building a participation loop for them has to be my endeavour
Shankar, very few youtubers have this level of clarity and conviction and I compliment you for that. I discovered you today and you deserve many more followers. Perhaps some Hindi videos as they get more traction? Most importantly, you came across as very knowledgable and one with integrity. Will look forward to seeing your other videos. Cheers! Sumeet

Nice work and thank you. Do you happen to know whether I could do this from the UK to check shareholder investments (lookup individual investors' investments online ).
7:40 - step 6 query Hi Shankar, thanks for the amazing video. My query is that isnt it obviously impossible to get the same or even nearly same entry point as these marquee investors since those points would hav been crossed long back and gloomy chances of looking back in rallying Nifty scenario? Then what should be the entry/exit points?
Most welcome. With re: your query and atleast in my case, I didn't care on finding the "perfect" entry point because if I were to even ask Vijay Kedia, Rekha Jhunjhunwala & others -- these investors aren't going to tell me. My mindset is that information is always imperfect (actually true) and I worked this model based on what & when I receive it. However imperfect, this model gave me 41% CAGR over 2 years against the Nifty 50's 12%

Thank you! I'm glad you liked this video. In my view, the general human behaviour (inspite of what one says) is to a) either work towards an output or b) pay for advice. That's why DIY investing or managed investing via MF, PMS, smallcase, advisor works well. The cloning strategy is outside the scope of both approaches i.e. it doesn't require much work nor is someone pushing us or enforcing a transaction/advice on us.
