      So I think with the cab clip the main takeaway is you change lanes "when it's safe to do so" as they say...if you go to court the judge WILL ask why they changed lanes while there was another vehicle partially in the lane without looking. That said...I personally disagree with what the judge would say and feel like the cab driver should have known better and is at fault lol

    • @CDBC
      @CDBC Год назад +2

      @@Dominescu The fact is, cab drivers (and others) are always trying to hussle down the curb lane on Granville there, and then jostle for position when something gets in the way ahead of them (like a parked car). It's STUPID driving that makes bugger all difference to when you get there, due to all the traffic lights.

    Vancouver needs better driving tests. I'd put money on it that the people testing people there are either as bad of a driver as the people on here OR they come from a country and they just transfer the drivers license over without having to do another test here.

    • @fredsmith6401
      @fredsmith6401 Год назад +5

      Nope, they need to do the test when transferring from another country. I had to do the same. BUT... there's a lot of corruption within certain ethnicity's. You pay the tester, you'll get passed. It's a big thing in the Asian community up there. The little red envelope, if you know what I mean.

Bad speed on a highway, school zone, both hands not on the wheel... It goes on and on these are are stuff that have caught up me or my friends. One day he gave me a lift into Van. and I think I found out why: he drove right at the limits of his car and personal proficiency, giving himself NO ALLOWANCE for the other driver making an honest mistake. Yes, it was never "his fault" but at the end of the day, he's looking for another ride and gets a small cheque.
