Vancouver's Worst Drivers Dashcam! Hi There, I have a video that i want to send to you. How do i send it to you? Can you give me your email or something?
I don't agree with you about car sharing, sure some drivers are awful, but the service provides a much needed service for a city like Vancouver. Former car owner, now I use EVO's (and motorcycles) to get around. ICBC keeps getting more expensive each year, even with a clean record, and car sharing in metro Vancouver makes sense.
These incidents happen because people don't care how they affect others. It is called selfishness and total disregard for their fellow man. It is not just a Vancouver problem either.
@3:50, I used to live in the Lougheed area, drive through this 10th Ave and Cariboo Rd intersection as part of my daily commute. Apparently, drivers on this side street (Surrey St) do this EVERY SINGLE DAY. I even witnessed 3 cars lining up at the narrow opening, as I was being courteous like what you did, ALL three of them made the same maneuver turned left onto Cariboo Rd on red light. It doesn't matter which side has the red light, if they can squeeze in, that's a green light to them.
Years ago I could have streamed people wrecking their cars on lip of our driveway. You can only reverse in or angle it to avoid bottoming out. Came home one day to someone's bumper in our yard.
Motorcycle season just started here in Vancouver - I watch your videos to remind me of what I’m about to encounter every 100m on every ride. Brutal. “Pure chaos” is exactly right.
There has to be a way where Evo takes away memberships from certain drivers who make the dumbest maneuvers. I caught on camera an Evo turning left on a red in Chinatown and sent it into Evo with the time stamps and everything...no response. Also the parking spot stealing clip is just blood boiling....they probably dont even care if you scratched up their car since they drive a shitty base Echo.
Bruh all the red light runners are just impatient with everything. Almost killed myself while walking through a pedestrian green light sidewalk. They really saw me crossing and he knew it was a red light he stopped. and then he quickly just ran threw that red light. Bad drivers are common in Vancouver
Port Coquitlam drivers are probably the worst of them all. There are more bad drivers per capita in PoCo than Richmond by far. It's actually extremely dangerous to be a pedestrian
Funny as a car enthusiast, those big international autoshows do nothing for me but scare me with all the dumb distractions manufacturers are stuffing into expensive cars
2:15 I'll admit I was like that when I first got my license trying to parallel park. I just gave up one time too. 3:58 That's a weird intersection. 4:40 Someone in front of the apartment building across the street from me got their SUV stuck on a curb with their rear passenger side tire in the air. I though about taking pictures but I bet the guy was already too embarrassed. 7:37 The record I've seen is across 6 lanes to make a left turn at the last second. 9:45 I saw someone do that last month. I even said I thought I only see that in Vancouver based dashcam videos.
They spare no effort to warn drivers against speeding, but there's almost no enforcement in regards to other "stupid driving". Not that I support speeding, but I would rather see someone going 10k over than some fool tailgating.
4:36 This Coquitlam resident who encountered someone honking impatiently at the car ahead for not turning THROUGH vehicles going past the intersection can confirm.
Ok ok, I'm fairly a new driver and I cannot express how scared I am because I see so many morons just stop before a red light and DRIVE!!! LIKE they inch thinking it turns green and just go on red. Like what are you doing. Why are you rushing so much. Anytime I approach a turn or intersection my eyes scan, like literally scan I am like a hawk while driving now so I can spot an idiot from far away and prevent dying.
5:50 and 9:35 those are pedestrian controlled lights, once you've stopped and it's safe to proceed that red light becomes a stop sign and you can go thru the'red light' when safe to do so. Look it up learn the rules
First off, how you can tell that this red light is the 'pedestrian controlled light' and you can drive thru? Or, Can you point to the specific rule at ICBC site or in the Motor Vehicle Act?
I wish I had a dash cam yesterday when a woman in front of me did a 3 point u-turn across the pedestrian crosswalk at Thurlow and Melville to get to a parking spot on the other side of the road.
Car share drivers in Vancouver suck. It’s like their first time in a car every time. Can’t count the amount of times I have seen them in accidents or almost causing one. Keep in mind I only drive maybe 2-3 times a week. What does that tell you? Definitely getting a car camera.
@1:02 Left Turn Struggler, also struggles with Traffic Lights, he had to have run a Red as well @5:28 The Employees probably do those shortcuts so they can Meet the Allowed Travel Time allotted to them to from One Site to the Next. Management often allots Travel Time based strictly on As the Crow Flies Distance Measurement, and Speed Limit, not taking into account Traffic Signs and Lights, or even that the actual Average speed is usually about 1/3 the Posted Limit. I had many a Fight with the Bonehead Managers who only cared about meeting Certain 'Metrics' and they would lean on Employees to even Break the Law, so the Numbers would look Good
@@vancouversworstdrivers Ya, I noticed that. I have found that people that do the dick moves tend to do that. Like it makes it ok to them or something. It is messed up!!!
The second clip in the video with black truck turning left doesn't even have a green light to turn left so running red light to make left ... shouldn't be even taking left .... smh
TLDR rant incoming; 1 - Vancouver has a big town mentality. The population is that of a significant city, but the roadway infrastructure in urban and suburban areas is very rural in style. 2 - Drivers are as dumb, inattentive and distracted as they have ever been. We just have more of them and more Dashcams to catch all the action.
I drive by the intersection at 3:55 everyday and I find it hard to blame the driver tbh, I always found that intersection confusing (I go from 10th and left on Cariboo, so I don't have the same issue as the guy). I only found out today that it is indeed 2 different turns to do what that guy did - a right turn into 10th, and a left to go to Cariboo. I just saw it as a weirdly shaped cross intersection, but I guess we all learn from others mistakes.
Seriously. When I moved here, I really had to up my defensive driving game. You basically have to assume that every car is moments away from doing the stupidest possible thing.
At 8:53 - the guy making u-turn shouldn't have done so, but the driver with the dashcam is an entitled asshole here! Let the u-turn guy finish his u-turn instead of owning the road and crossing double yellow to pass him. It's this North American sense of entitlement and owning the road. Two wrongs don't make a right.
10:35- Honestly why do people who drive company vehicles drive like complete imbeciles?? I mean not only does it show how dangerous you are, the company logo and contact info are on display. You can get fired I think for pulling shit like this.
3:35 ITS MY FUCKEN Favourite when they fucken block the lane and wait for you to go..... Like how fucken stupid you need to be to think this is possible??? 5:40 if he would hit him it should be the Honda faul as "break check" WTF?? 9:40 Audi made a mistake and nice save, thinking about everyone on the road.
dude it happened everywhere of the world, not only in Van... so dont always complain "why? or how the f vancouver drivers bluhbluh.... It happens everwhere other than that, your video is pretty good~
I kinda cringe when you rant about evo drivers and how they need to disappear since I use evo myself, but then I remember how I almost got killed by an evo twice. If only there was some way to screen shitty drivers from the programme
UPDATE: After uploading this video the Vancouver Auto Show has announced that they are cancelling the show so there will be no contest for tickets :(
was thinking it would be canceled

Ur just like my dad
Watching these clips is just like driving to work here in the lower mainland Vancouver.
FYI inside ICBC info regarding who causes most accident 70% plus Asian drivers.
specifically in Richmond, Burnaby, and Vancouver
ICBC has statistics based on race?
I actually get so much anxiety watching this. Every time I leave my house, it's instantaneously chaotic. HOW ARE THE DRIVERS SO HORRENDOUS OUT HERE!?

Bad = Stupid. It scares me how clueless the drivers in vancouver are now.
Driving in Vancouver is crazy.. I wish they can allow ppl to send in clips and get those stupid drivers fined..
the Nico one was way too crazy
I would key the car in Nico’s video wtf
Not worth it. Your key might be more expensive than the vehicle lol
It blows my mind how many bad drivers there are in this world.
nah just the lower mainland

yoooooo thanks for featuring my vid!!!!! im the one that sent the clip of the guy going across the median, love your vids bro
I don't get it, if you were wrong and got honk at, just deal with it, why get angry because someone is telling you are wrong??????
The stopped car should be a clue. So many times i stop for a pedestrian. Then a line of cars go around me.
I always love the little wave bad drivers do when they fuck up.
There has to be a way where Evo takes away memberships from certain drivers who make the dumbest maneuvers. I caught on camera an Evo turning left on a red in Chinatown and sent it into Evo with the time stamps and everything...no response.

Police are supposed to do that really, not Evo or anyone else. Report to the police instead.

Thumbs down for dissing car shares (I get the drivers often aren't that experienced, but still. Car shares are greener and better)
I agree but my biggest pet peeve is when they ram into people's cars and don't care because they don't own them
They spare no effort to warn drivers against speeding, but there's almost no enforcement in regards to other "stupid driving". Not that I support speeding, but I would rather see someone going 10k over than some fool tailgating.
I totally agree!
Why do people who get honked at get so mad here? Like you clearly did something stupid to warrant getting honked at. People with egos here ...
I know people act as if they got punched in the face -_-
a corolla honked at a STI for no reason????? come on~!
4:36
This Coquitlam resident who encountered someone honking impatiently at the car ahead for not turning THROUGH vehicles going past the intersection can confirm.
I just wish people could actually lose their license for driving so poorly, but apparently driving is a right, not a privilege...
Like when u compare the bad drivers to carona virus lol
What?

You should make a "instant justice" video where Vancouver's worst drivers get caught by cops
I definitely would but I don't have enough footage yet...one day!

Vancouver drivers are the best of the worst. The podium is always reserved for Chinese.
#2, you're missing the bigger picture, the black pickup ran a red light.
I live right by that intersection at 10th Ave and Cariboo in New West. People regularly do what the person in your video did.
It's official, half the world can't drive
Your such optimistic dude! I estimate at least 80% shouldn't get behind the steering wheel
