I have a question pls......In EQ1, for a Rogue, it was possible to use mouse + keyboard to instantly slide behind an opponent and turn, attacking an opponent's back before the mob turned, getting a "backstab." If you could do it on mobs, versus PVP, it was nearly 100%. Was this possible in WoW in either PVE or PVP ?
Yeah weird he didnt mention tauren ele shaman war stomp into EM CL combo. You can delete people with it in pvp. Considering shaman dont have any hard cc its very very powerful
Beg the differ bout orc tanks, axe spec meant less hit% needed, great as you lvled, and PvE, esp as the best hit% was very late game for the most part.
Another plus to being a Troll Hunter is having the Bow Specialization passive giving +5 bow skill. Combined with the amount of great bows in the game and its a big plus imo.
Ranked attacks also cannot glance, so really, the only thing weapon skill provides for them at end game is an extra +3% hit chance, which I remember some hunters saying it was helpful for them.
even if you're melee and you're in an encounter that requires resistance gear, you're still better off going with human for the weapon skill because it means you have more options when it comes to which pieces you're going to sacrifice for resistances. you can meet the hit cap easier without compromising good gear pieces in exchange for pieces with hit on them.
How did you not put Fear for the Shadow Resistance section..? Especially after goin over WotF over the PvP trinket; it's literally the best/entire point lol
No. Based on playstyle. Gnomes have a pretty good CC breaker in Classic. And the small size means that against a clicker and/or a keyboard turner, you really will not have any threat from some people. For Horde I notice never go tauren or PvP. People go out of their way to zerg you down even if it is not the best thing to do. Orc warriors are great. Gnomes rogues, an expert can play a human rogue just as well. For Horde it would have to be troll rogue and orc shaman. I am a no life multiglad R14 on several toons who just plays wow all day everyday. So I know what I am talking about. I really hope that a WoTLK Classic comes out. That will be super popular. And that is why I am rolling a human rogue for now seeing as how in WoTLK you have the EMFH which stacks with trinkets so you can back to back break CCs and that was when the number of CCs were nerfed as was their effectiveness. A human pally was also unstoppable during WoTLK. Second best pally was a Blood Elf pally with the mass instant cast aoe silence that cost 0 resources. I got glad on orc sham 2x. I dont know when they will begin race changes. They didnt have paid for server changes. Back then it was free and only during times where there were huge server queues from select servers and only one toon per account could, in the same battlegroup and only ever from a high pop to a low pop you could never go to a more populated server than what you were on with the old server change system. I switched to a goat person and tried same group of friends to go for glad again... I barely got past duelist. So back to orc was glad again. Not super skilled with a sham so that just goes to show how the race you chose does matter a huge deal in PvP.
I had such a small brain moment that when you said "Only one race in Alliance and Horde can be druid" I just went "But Wargens! Trolls!" Entirely forgetting this is about Classic WoW.
I was thinking about taking classes for hours. In the end I AGAIN stucked with it. At least this time around I changed it up a little bit and went with horde undead
RE: Warrior, the world first BWL Nefarian kill back in 2005 had a Night Elf Tankw with the 1% mitigation being sited as the reason. As Alliance with BoSalv, the extra Weapon Skill isn't all that important for Tanks, so the 1% extra dodge may have value.
You didn’t mention anything about the dodge chance from NE for warrior, makes a big difference combo with higher agility=extra armor etc. NE tank is actually a decent choice.
They say Human is number one for Warrior due to their weapon skill which is 100% true. But Warriors will be the most popular class in vanilla all the time and with Swords and Maces being king for Rogues and Warriors those items can end up being hard to come by. Where as you can pick one of the other classes and save up to get yourselves a pair of edgemasters which yes does cost alot but it unlocks Axes and Daggers as well as swords as dps options which are far easier to get a hold of. I feel like that is something any new warrior should consider.
you are mistaken about the troll priest shield because the fact that it actually could proc the stun from the talent tree with no threat...great for PVP

The answer for rogue on horde is obvious It’s undead, no question. I mean, have you ever seen a horde rogue that isn’t an undead? I haven’t, they’re all undead. There aren’t even other options. It’s basically required so you can bully low level players who can’t fight back
Dude literally mouse clicks abilities and tries to lecture us Not to mention him glorifying Berserking, he effectively makes it sound perm. Not to mention 10% is not a lot, keep in mind the 30% only steps in at very low health. Which effectively means your tank is doing a bad job or you are almost dead anyways in pvp, and that is without mentioning the fact berserk costs rage and energy for the other classes which again screws them
@@Hi-uv8rv at least one of you didn't fall for the bait part. glad to see. I actually agree on the PvE side of it that it can provide a lot, but as for tanking I would either say Undead or Tauren for the Fear break or Extra Health boost they gain. as for meele it would depend on if you are going into Axes or other as the skill up can provide quite a good boost. the Blood Frenzy sadly only raises the base atk power which means any stat boosts from gear wont get affected so Troll might be able to pull ahead in terms of dmg, not to of course mention the heal loss in PvE as a tank with Blood Frenz.
the 5% more int from gnomes was on base int, not on the geared stat, so it was actually completely irrelevant. human hat more mana reg, with could save you from using evocation in a boss fight
No, it's total INT. It's about an extra 400 mana (7248 v. 6842) and 0.5% crit in T2 gear, the classic wow reddit has all sorts of threads (with pictures) on this, so it's 5% more total INT, not just base INT. That being said, 400 extra mana is about 2 more Frost Bolts, so it's hardly a game breaker.
@@andrewshandle well we did find out in classic vanilla its base int, the gnome had like 220 more mana than the human on full t3 and the crit was 0,2% so it's definitely not geared int, it's the base int, that's why our human mages didn't need to evocate as early as the gnomes on saph and kt
@@andrewshandle i know what you did but i believe that what i saw and tested with my guild and not what sb says on reddit, i still remember how the gnomes in our guild where disappointed, as we ve proofen it, it's the same like with darkmoonfair worldbuff, a lot of ppl thought it scales with the gear but it doesn't, it's again base stat, not the equipped so i don't know what you want me to tell?
@@markuslc1888 I think we'll have to agree to disagree, because there are pictures from classic servers that show the difference and all the gear, so I guess we are at an impasse. I like to PvP, so I'd take Gnome anyway, so for me it's a moot question anyway ;)
Given that Blizzard took most from AD&D…Will of the Forsaken was just fine and followed rules. The Whining about a 5 second immunity on a cooldown was the reason it was destroyed. Newsflash, undead are immune to sleep, charm and all mind-affecting spells, immune to critical hits, reduced slashing weapon damage, poison, disease, exhaustion and life drain. So, undead were pretty nerfed from the onset. It’s just that priests and warlocks whined consistently every time they were attacked and the rogue timed their fear spell with their WotF. If the defending player did not watch for the preemptive WotF, their fear would be cast while the undead was immune. Anyway, in a game where people go memorize raids and dungeons before even playing them, it’s not surprising to find that everything that poses a challenge will be eliminated. Lol
To balance all those perks that undead had, it would only be fair that they had some weaknesses that undead also had from AD&D, those being extra damage taken from holy magic, and susceptibility to undead crowd controls - ie, paladins fear undead, and priests shackle.
@@cmdmd Funnily enough in very, _very_ early WoW player undead were actually considered an 'undead' mob instead of humanoid, but it was changed within a few months of launch if I remember correctly.
The percentage buffs in classic are multiplicative, not additive like in retail, so the 5% spirit that humans get is increased further by the spirit talents that priests have. Edit: melee weapon skills are so powerful in pve because a weapon skill of +5 causes your glancing blows to go from 70% damage to 85% damage and is the equivalent of 3% hit.
Troll is better shadowpriest in pvp the shadow shield procs blackout. It also does a ridiculous amount of damage at 60. Hex of weakness reduces the target being healed by 20%
Wait, guns werent the best? I thought they were awesome plus hte ability to make your own ammo, I heard you can make arrows during Wrath but I couldnt find information on it. Though I am glad hunters became more accessable to more races especially humans.
I don’t know man, it feels like if it was going to make a difference at this point, it would be something people talked about, but I’ve heard fear ward described as OP for a long time. Maybe it’s because fear might move you out of range of the totem sometimes? Maybe it’s because you can’t pick specifically who won’t be feared anymore each tick? Maybe the chance that a tank won’t be cured first could be dangerous? Maybe it’s because Fear ward has a preemptive measure to it? idk, but whenever I hear about dwarf priests in classic, it’s how game changing fear ward is in raids. I feel like just given how quick people are to defend their favorite classes on wow, people would have made a big thing about tremor totem and I just never see that happening
@@jiggyjay682 lol I mean I wasn’t trying to hide that or anything, but you’re right. I was looking at the ability descriptions online, it seems like the benefit fear ward has over tremor totem is that you could put it on beforehand and just not get feared once, as opposed to being cured 5 seconds afterwards. Maybe it made a difference, putting that on healers and tanks so they don’t have to have their roles disrupted. I’m not saying tremor totem is bad, but I’ve always heard that fear ward was this crazy good ability that had a big impact on raids.
@@TheCamster4545 It both has its time and place. Priest can stop the tank from being feared no matter what. Which can be a good thing. But, if you have a shaman it can stop the part from being feared. Yes it does tick but that usually isn't a problem at all. Tremor can stop a partyfrom being feared into another group, and if your Tank is low health it means the healer is safe as well, and can continue to heal.
I’m always horde but one thing he doesn’t mention for priests is night elves stealth is really good for farming. The stealth lets you reset some bosses that are very farmable when setup right.
A couple things missed in this video: Humans should be considered over gnomes for rogues in pvp, as their stealth detection ability makes them an effective counter to other rogues. Expertise is not far more 'important' to tanks because they need more threat, it's more 'effective' as a stat then it its to a DPS, because the tanks can also be parried by a boss since their naturally standing in front of it, and expertise reduces that chance.
"combat prowess" in raids for paladins, that's a funny concept, when all they do is spam holy light Jokes aside love the content, been watching for years keep it up
Yeah look some of these are a little off. I can tell you that Tauren is the best Ele PvP Race, War Stomp + Chain Lightning-Earth Shock is utterly scary. Tauren Hunters on the other hand are without a doubt the worst choice as Deadzone is such a critical factor it technically makes it harder to get at range due to your hitbox size.
finally someone saying undead is better race than troll for Priest/shadow priest. every forum and comments i saw so far saying how op shadowguard is and people back then were noob picking undead over troll for SOM
as much as I know this is a topic that almost HAS to be covered by a youtuber.. I still feel like it shouldn´t. The problem with WoW, reason to faction/class imbalances etc etc, is because people are simply overmaxing stuff. The idea "play for fun" is out of the question and instead people play wow with some kind of speedrun in mind, clearing raids, maxing racial talents with class combos etc.. So eventually you end up in dead worlds where every1 is either H or A bevcause open world pvp ruined the raiding and lvling since it would slow them down or get rid of buffs etc. Edit: "Paladin are overall not a very good class"... Okay it´s official Hirumaredx, you know nothing of WoW classic.

What is the song starting at 13:33?
Tauren Shaman = BiS pvp, the combos you can pull of with warstomp are insane.
Yeah weird he didnt mention tauren ele shaman war stomp into EM CL combo. You can delete people with it in pvp. Considering shaman dont have any hard cc its very very powerful
@@JeroenLevolger and you can cast a fire nova totem before that. don't like the rng of the orc racial, thats why i think tauren is better
Isnt undead "will of the forsaken" a bit wasted on warrior since they already can break out of fear ?
WOTF is not just for fear
Yeah for warr PvP you want to play Orc to resist rogue and paladin stuns.
Sleep and Charm if u fight against a druid or lock.
Hi, does undead's ability to breathe longer underwater help in any situation in vanilia WoW?
as a rogue you can sometimes cc ppl underwater to kill them
Its ok for leveling but outside of that only what the guy above said.
Doesn't bow skill barely effect anything at max lvl because arrows can't be dodged, parried or blocked?
Ranked attacks also cannot glance, so really, the only thing weapon skill provides for them at end game is an extra +3% hit chance, which I remember some hunters saying it was helpful for them.
@@HT-ye9ff Ah ok good to know! I have never played a hunter so I didn't know how it worked for them. Figured it was similar to melee +weapon skill
U dont use a bow in the endgame.
No mention of the Night Elves's elusiveness passive giving them an extra chance to dodge attacks?
even if you're melee and you're in an encounter that requires resistance gear, you're still better off going with human for the weapon skill because it means you have more options when it comes to which pieces you're going to sacrifice for resistances. you can meet the hit cap easier without compromising good gear pieces in exchange for pieces with hit on them.
How did you not put Fear for the Shadow Resistance section..? Especially after goin over WotF over the PvP trinket; it's literally the best/entire point lol
Dwarf rogue is best for pvp... Stoneform makes u immune to blind AND you can cast it while ur blinded.
Don’t forget troll hunters can move and shoot
Great video, great time too
I was thinking about taking classes for hours. In the end I AGAIN stucked with it. At least this time around I changed it up a little bit and went with horde undead
so when wrath drops what happens to everyone on SoM?
RE: Warrior, the world first BWL Nefarian kill back in 2005 had a Night Elf Tankw with the 1% mitigation being sited as the reason. As Alliance with BoSalv, the extra Weapon Skill isn't all that important for Tanks, so the 1% extra dodge may have value.
You didn’t mention anything about the dodge chance from NE for warrior, makes a big difference combo with higher agility=extra armor etc. NE tank is actually a decent choice.
Why no mention of 5% extra HP for Tauren? That's kind of an important thing for tanks, warrior or druid.
19:36
Prob only better for druid tanks. Human warrior is still way better because hitting the boss is way more important in Classic than getting hit by it.
I think in the end you should play as what you have fun the most.
Female undead fury warrior dose a flip when attacking. So I made my choice
period!!
Actually at 15:48 Touch of weakness requires you to be hit, not melee attack the enemy.
Love you tho hiru
I like watching the gameplay in the background and seeing him take on two mobs at once and dying / almost dying
If you look at the history hiru, of the wraith walk ability they changed the description of it maybe more things
I always liked the Worgen/Warlock combo. I don't know why but it just seems like something that looks cool.
My name on WoW used to be: Worgen Flea Man
i went with orc for my hunter back when i played wow i think it was just before ammo was removed (witch i hated as i liked the ammo management)
What's SoM? I just started playing a classless private server and I might try out the blizz version if it's the one that has season
Faster leveling, shorter patches, harder raids, no boosting and even easier consume farming
@@iplaylol25 so basically the same boring shit as before? Hard pass lmao
@@MoonTurky who asked
Great video man, what about a wrath of the lich king version?
They say Human is number one for Warrior due to their weapon skill which is 100% true. But Warriors will be the most popular class in vanilla all the time and with Swords and Maces being king for Rogues and Warriors those items can end up being hard to come by. Where as you can pick one of the other classes and save up to get yourselves a pair of edgemasters which yes does cost alot but it unlocks Axes and Daggers as well as swords as dps options which are far easier to get a hold of. I feel like that is something any new warrior should consider.
No
can you make one of this for retail?
I can't wait to play shadow priest in season of mastery.
this is gonna be fun ^^
Why?
@@derBuschjunge I try to enjoy the little things.
I am sick of people complaining non stop
Yep i enjoy IT too . I will Level slow and enjoy all the great Things . And the oldsxhool world
Play the game? No.. Listen to Hirumaredx talk about playing the game? Definitely.
Rogues a class for people to play who hate themselves
Well said
As a rogue, i can relate to that.
Hey i've seen this one before
What do you mean? its brand new
you are mistaken about the troll priest shield because the fact that it actually could proc the stun from the talent tree with no threat...great for PVP
Undead warrior not being a good pop choice? Do you know what charm is?
But do u really want a single counter against charm? Orcs have much more damage and stun resist and there are much more classes with stun effects.
im not playing SOM, but i wonder if people still wanna tryhard inthis classic classiclol
To brag their egos and want wow retail to be like wow classic, of course!
Even after 2y of classic tryharding ppl still want to do tryhard kek
This isn't really a tryhard guide
Bro hirumaredx please do the best race/ class combos for retail wow including allied races! I have been wanting to stream more often and wanna have the most efficient characters for end content in Shadowlands! Thanks man your the best top RUclips channel btw!!!
kinda forgot ne 1% extra dodge for warriors wich can be nice for tanking
17:18 I miss the female undead rogue flip on eviscerate :(
I'm a druid. Original was hunter. I swore if they brought classic back I would be a druid. 👊 bump
ok 1st... not an history video? OMFG!

I was gonna ask about why you didnt talked about Every Man for Himself for Humans but I forggot that wasnt in the game till 3.0.2
I still want to see history of rogue finishing moves.
bump
Aah yes the human paladin. Now that was chill.
The answer for rogue on horde is obvious
It’s undead, no question. I mean, have you ever seen a horde rogue that isn’t an undead? I haven’t, they’re all undead. There aren’t even other options. It’s basically required so you can bully low level players who can’t fight back
You sound traumatized
@@WillHughesTV I am extremely traumatized
I am also traumatized by undead rogues
Rogues are allowed to clap noobs, i mean theyre rogues! But u really dont want to fight against a orc rogue...
Dude literally mouse clicks abilities and tries to lecture us
Not to mention him glorifying Berserking, he effectively makes it sound perm. Not to mention 10% is not a lot, keep in mind the 30% only steps in at very low health. Which effectively means your tank is doing a bad job or you are almost dead anyways in pvp, and that is without mentioning the fact berserk costs rage and energy for the other classes which again screws them
here´s the "if you mouse your abilities you´re a noob" type of elitist, I´m sure everyone gives a shit about your 300 macros and bendy fingers
its makes no different if you click with your mouse or press a key for your abilitys
Reeeee someone who clicks his abilities is giving statistical data so I don't listen to the statistical data anymore reeee
troll is the best pve race for any caster´s troll is the best for pve tanking by a alot
Orc warlocks can tip the scale in PvE, but especially in PvP due to their Hardiness.
the 5% more int from gnomes was on base int, not on the geared stat, so it was actually completely irrelevant. human hat more mana reg, with could save you from using evocation in a boss fight
@@markuslc1888 I posted the mana and crit difference from two mages in T2 with identical gear from classic servers, so not sure what to tell you.
For priest it is dwarf, no question. Fear ward is too good.
True. Alliance = Dwarfs and Horde = Trolls.
Human was easy for Paladin since in PVE you have spirit buff and PVP you had perception since you were gonna be a healer most likely.
@@StaffordMagnus
Indeed. I honestly expected those.
@@cmdmd Funnily enough in very, _very_ early WoW player undead were actually considered an 'undead' mob instead of humanoid, but it was changed within a few months of launch if I remember correctly.
For me I've played rpg for 35 years . I love pallies.
Hex of weakness reduces the target being healed by 20%
its depends.undead dot is doing so much more damage if enemie cant remove it.UD is very good in 1 vs 1
Undead Warrior all the way.
For the authentic, and WotF being op af in fights that had a fear mechanic
You can break fear as a warrior 3 different ways
Only good against locks and if u fight against a priest longer than 24 sec the laugh emote of him is totally worth.
What’s the popular server going to be !?
None
Wait, guns werent the best? I thought they were awesome plus hte ability to make your own ammo, I heard you can make arrows during Wrath but I couldnt find information on it.
Though I am glad hunters became more accessable to more races especially humans.
The worst thing about tauren hunters is their abysmal dead zone.
Everything is worst on a Tauren.

night elf priest have another racial called Ellune's grace
But, you've already made this video. Am I missing something?
Yessir noti ganggg

Why was every self loather a rogue.
fear ward being an alliance defining mechanic
you realize shamans can just throw a totem down that removes 5 fears at once every like 3 seconds right
I don’t know man, it feels like if it was going to make a difference at this point, it would be something people talked about, but I’ve heard fear ward described as OP for a long time.
@@TheCamster4545 You clearly have never played shaman, your words gave it away. Tremor totem > Fear ward
Tremor can stop a partyfrom being feared into another group, and if your Tank is low health it means the healer is safe as well, and can continue to heal.
undead has better cast animation so its better for any caster class no matter what the other classes offer
Laughs in Noggenfogger
I’m always horde but one thing he doesn’t mention for priests is night elves stealth is really good for farming. The stealth lets you reset some bosses that are very farmable when setup right.
A couple things missed in this video: Humans should be considered over gnomes for rogues in pvp, as their stealth detection ability makes them an effective counter to other rogues.
Expertise is not far more 'important' to tanks because they need more threat, it's more 'effective' as a stat then it its to a DPS, because the tanks can also be parried by a boss since their naturally standing in front of it, and expertise reduces that chance.
Gnomes are better against other classes. If u want to be the rogue counter then yes.
Male Troll mage cast animation is kamehameha. Case closed, best mage race.
"combat prowess" in raids for paladins, that's a funny concept, when all they do is spam holy light
Jokes aside love the content, been watching for years keep it up
My dwarf hunter combo only taking last place. FeelsBadMan
Problem isn't pet AI. It's that they are made of paper and glue
Tauren tank with 5% more health for PvE/PvP ? think it's good...
12:53 *Tauren, not tauren. Singular and plural are the same. Pretty much every race which ends in "en" in WoW has the same rule.
Which other races end with “en” ?
finally someone saying undead is better race than troll for Priest/shadow priest. every forum and comments i saw so far saying how op shadowguard is and people back then were noob picking undead over troll for SOM
as much as I know this is a topic that almost HAS to be covered by a youtuber..
