Having a repressed psychopath for a dad and a mom that's emotionally dependent on you definitely doesn't do a teenage boy any favors. On his own, he tries too hard to act cool, and that ironically hurts his chances when he tries to be honest.
There are times where Steve actually had relationships. Debby was the longest one running, and Stan came around to her being with Steve with their shared common knowledge of firearms.
Well, he can. They just wrote Debbie out of the show and reverted Steve back to his status quo for reasons that continue to elude me. 😂 (Robin’s archnemesis in Teen Titans!)
Yeah, the writers like to reset Steve every episode for whatever reason. He's the most inconsistent character since one episode you'll see him carrying a huge box up a flight of stairs, but the next one he can't ride his bike up a hill. It's honestly really frustrating.
@@Xanegoh That’s true but it’s also very much true of everyone. Like Francine is the one obsessing over Steve in Iced, Iced Babies by refusing to let him go and have a normal relationship with Debbie so Stan has to tell her that’s a normal part of growing up, but in Virtual In-Stanity, Stan is the one scuppering his relationship with Chelsea so he can feel close to Steve for himself more than Steve, while Francine is instead the voice of reason telling Stan he needs to let Steve go and have a relationship with a teenager not a little kid. And sure, there’s probably some argument you could make about lessons learnt for why it makes sense, but they *both* end up doing the same thing in 1600 Candles where they try to manipulate Steve’s age for their own benefit without considering what’s best for him. And that’s just one example along this particular theme which is repeated across the show, there’s probably a bunch more contradictory examples where characters like Jeff and Hayley get reset all the time because they don’t actually want them to move on. Call me sick and deranged, but in the Phyllis episode, it would've been brilliant if Steve had lost his V-card to 'Phyllis'. Why? Think about it. What better punishment for a boy who's so creepily desperate to pop his cherry? To do it with a flesh puppet being piloted by his own dad! They don't have to show it in graphic detail, but rather draw the comedy from the shock of it and Steve's reaction to learning the truth. It could've been the greatest twist since Fry becoming his own grandpa, Cartman making Scott Tenorman eat his parents, and Rick making Morty kill alternate versions of himself!

Steve Smith issue is a little similar to that of Bud Bundy from Married With Children in that there would be instances specifically between seasons 4-7 that Bud loss his virginity and/or hook up with a woman and family brushed it off as joke and then in the next episode Bud be back to being the horny loser archetype that Steve began American Dad as. Also though American Dad may have some continuity it still likes to reset itself so even Steve lose his virginity in one episode and then have it back one or two episodes later for the sake of the joke or even plot,
Has nobody mentioned how Steve has been spending the past couple of seasons, basically admitting that him and snot are in a relationship. They just can’t consummate their relationship until they sleep with women like the story has been hinting at it for seasons, and you just don’t mention any of that.😂😂😂😂😂😂
32:12 man, those men did NOT know what they were in for. Like they got cool swords, but Stan would likely know how to use it better than anyone given he is trained on how to kill people

I always liked steve but this video shows episodes i haven't seen. I liked him better when i thought he was just nerdy virgin who has an amazing singing voice. I still think he has hope if there is far less stan interaction. I dunno maybe it's too late. But if i was a girl his age i'd at least be his friend. He's my favorite character from the show
Urkel at least got the girl in the end...Steve Smith however is a nerd but in most times be an absolute weirdo creep with an undeserved massive ego that he likely gets from Stan.

Steve, and all teenage boys for that matter, have to learn the hard way that just because you exist doesn't mean everyone likes you. Steve wondering why someone could just reject him like he's no one special really brought up some bad memories of when I was first rejected and thought the same thing. It hurts to hear but it's true. If you want to be loved you must be lovable. Simply existing isn't enough. You have to give people reasons to like you. Whether because you've worked on your personality enough to actually be enjoyable to be around, working out so your body is nice to look at, making lots of money so people can rely on you financially, you gotta do SOMETHING. While it is true some guys don't have to try as hard as others due to genetics and luck, crying about it isn't going to change anything. Very few people will love you out of pity and even if they do, you probably won't be proud that you managed to guilt someone into being with you. It's not very honourable. This is the harsh lesson that all boys will learn, whether they like it or not. If they're lucky they'll have a father who will teach them this early on so it isn't a shock to the system. Unfortunately many don't, preferring to wait until the son is "at that age". Make no mistake men, one day your son is going to come home, in tears, after getting his heart broken, and you're gonna have to be the one to explain all this. Good luck. Try not to put it off for too long.
Horchata is just blended rice water with vanella and sugar. Tastes like water with sugar. Personally I have always disliked it, but yeah when horchata is available it tends to be the first one run out.
Excellent points in this video. I think Steve is just one of those people who would meet his girlfriend or wife in college. But hey at least he's not Meg from Family Guy. Poor girl...
I just chock it up to that one episode where future Steve and Snot are successful and single guys living together, he cant get a date cause he has to remain a loser to be successful 9:40 Also small inconsequential nitpick here, he said Great Grandma, not just grandma
There was the time Stan, inspired by a documentary on walruses, tried to prove he's the man of the house by doing the one thing Steve can't: have sex. Roger invited Steve to a party so he could get laid, but it ended in failure, and he had a mental breakdown. Stan, upon seeing this, realized that trying to live like walruses made Steve inept, so he did the one other thing to make Steve a man: teach him how to shave.
Lol i thought steve was cute when i was still a teen as being a nerd myself i found him attractive also in one episode he didn’t care about his gfs appearance and liked her for her. I think it was the food disorder ep.
There's really only one reason: the writers. We've seen plenty of times where Steven gains a love interest, but due to the self-contained episodic nature of the show, they won't hitch him with anyone long term. Every episode he's reset as if none of his previous relationships existed unless it's convenient for the current plot.
You see Kittymonk, once a man becomes a father they developed a new ability called, Imaginary technique: Gone with the milk. By using this technique the father becomes a imaginary conpect to their children. There two ways to reverse the effects of the technique, method one: the child must win the lottery or method two: the child must become famous.
As for horchata. I ain’t from Mexico but I have had it a couple Mexican restaurants and I am gonna be honest it didn’t taste all that bad. It had cinnamon peppered on top and was very creamy. But then again this was made in the American Southwest. So….
Horchata is delicious, definitely try if you ever get the chance. Slade! Steve just gets reset based on what the writers want. He has been shown to get girls, at least one of which has been discussed on this channel.
Steve almost got some. Instead he was focused on a psycho cat whom he beat with a cello and dropped so many elbows he made a professional wrestler proud after being attacked
Steve is just really not a good person when you think about it One of Steve’s most glaring flaws is he has a slog of both Stan and Francine’s bad qualities on top of his own shortcomings He has a ego problem that fuels his lust and equally burns him in the process, any time he gets interested in a woman he goes into a spiral of madness trying to desperately get the girl in the most miserable charming way possible and fall to pieces in the end reverting to status quo.
Honestly tho, we’ve seen Steve, like boys 12, when Roger was his rich persona (can’t remember his name) and Steve can style good, be confident etc, but instead he’s a creep, raised by self absorbed parents. One who gets insecure at the idea someone wouldn’t ASSAULT HER?!?! and one who legit belittles his son then after one failure he tries to unalive himself multiple times. (of course no one should ever feel like they have to unalive themselves) but surely after that. Stan should realise what it does to his son’s mind. But he doesn’t. He just becomes worse if anything, Steve and Hayley, both deserved to be better people, but they were raised by self obsessed and insecure freaks. Who legit only make friends. When they change themselves, because by being themselves, they are HATED by even their whole street Edit: I forgot to add. With stuff like Steverino, they take it to mean, that a child raised by only Stan. And a child raised by only Francine, wouldn’t be good, so them together makes a good kid. BUT NO, a child raised by them both is making a worse kid! Like Stan raised a cat killing psycho and Francine raised a lazy and manipulative incel, how do they not see that this just proves putting those 2 things together just equals a psycho cat killing kid, but too lazy to act it all out, right??
2:30 Im pretty sure stan was actually called to the school to talk to steve because steve locked himself inside the principals office and was yelling what all into the microphone across the school.

That would imply Shannon has never gone further with any other boy, so she likely wouldn't have been comfortable with full on hooking up. Chances are, they just made out. I'd say bring back Debbie...but, truly, she was too good for Steve.
i’m always forgetting you’re also from jersey. i didn’t go to seaside heights after prom either, i decided there would be way too many people and i didn’t wanna deal with it. i think some of my friends skipped prom to go down to wildwood, but i didn’t end up joining them cause gas be expensive even back in 2019
😂19:55 I used to be this way before I also before I remember I could take care of it myself, and when I'm done I am always horrified by my behavior before solving that riddle.😂
@KittyMonk it’s not because of him being a nerd it’s more of because of the fact he’s 14-16 in those years most guys don’t really get a date or can score really well even though hot nerd like me was able to score pretty well at Steve’s age but Steve needs to understand the fact he just can’t score but I feel like they could do an whole episode with Roger helping steve lose his v card could be an really entertaining episode
Pretty sure at the end of that episode it’d be revealed it was Roger who took Steve’s V Card, as one of the personas.
@@manoftruth0935no that’s snot that your thinking of
@@rileyanthony Did you forget the country club episode? One of Roger's personas that Steve couldn't see through. I quote Roger: "nine. I _____ on two of them. Nothing happened, wink wink."
Oh horchata is basically just cinnamon rice water basically thick of rice pudding but as a drink and has a lot of cinnamon it's really nice tasting honestly 😁
I’ve actually had horchata before. I quite like it. The best way that I can describe it is that it’s like rice pudding but not as viscous.
no horchata is not barf. It's a sweet rice milk and spiced drink meant to be served cold. It's delicious and you should try it. If your having trouble finding it there are a ton of recipes on line and the ingredients are simple and widely available. also if you ever find yourself down here in south Texas it's available in just about every hole in the wall and taqueria and even some gas stations.
His ego gets the better off him
Yeah that’s true
They just can’t consummate their relationship until they sleep with women like the story has been hinting at it for seasons, and you just don’t mention any of that.😂😂😂😂😂😂
I’m back on time
Horchata is a very good and sweet drink it’s basically milk with cinnamon
jeez why? can Steve just give up on his old man?
Sarah Michelle Gellar gave a great vocal performance
32:12 man, those men did NOT know what they were in for. Like they got cool swords, but Stan would likely know how to use it better than anyone given he is trained on how to kill people
7:49 Ayyy! I took three steps inside, had a meltdown, and ended up crying on the the steps while calling my dad to pick me up. Still less disastrous than when I went to a haunted house.
Singing Loser, Baby, and referencing Dead Girl Walking in the same video. This is why you're one of my favorite RUclipsrs, Kitty.
He's my favorite character from the show
Chelsea looked cuter than Stan's puppet.
Don't forget Steve Urkel in the 90s.
Urkel at least got the girl in the end...Steve Smith however is a nerd but in most times be an absolute weirdo creep with an undeserved massive ego that he likely gets from Stan.
That family guy reference “Mexico” 😂😂😂
According To The Syndication Wiki. American Dad From 2010-2020 It Syndicated On The CW & MyNetworkTV Even During It's TBS Era

Some people enjoy a little self fun
I was actually hoping you’d play the clip of them talking about Deathstroke for some reason
The only reason he can't score the sun would implode way before he gets laid
Steve did have that goth girl in the early seasons. She just kind of disappeared.
The ship sank when Steve sabotaged Snot's cousin's Bar Mitzvah and let Snot take the blame. Debbie wanted nothing to do with him after that.
20:07 this episode helped me a lot with things
I love Horchata it’s basically just rice water with cinnamon
I’m from Newark New Jersey unfortunately my senior year in high school was 2020 u can guess how that went lol
I just chock it up to that one episode where future Steve and Snot are successful and single guys living together, he cant get a date cause he has to remain a loser to be successful
9:40 Also small inconsequential nitpick here, he said Great Grandma, not just grandma
Stan Smith certainly needs an in-depth analysis
I think one of the reasons is that it still airs on TV and Steve's 14.
bad luck, his family, his character but i think he could do better once he gets to college.
There's really only one reason: the writers. We've seen plenty of times where Steven gains a love interest, but due to the self-contained episodic nature of the show, they won't hitch him with anyone long term. Every episode he's reset as if none of his previous relationships existed unless it's convenient for the current plot.
I love the hazbin hotel reference! That's my favorite song too
19:12 don’t quote me but I’ve been hearing there’s studies on how excessively viewing pornographic material increases grey matter in your break
You should definitely link a source for that claim 💀
...holy crap theres the dude who voiced danvs
You see Kittymonk, once a man becomes a father they developed a new ability called, Imaginary technique: Gone with the milk. By using this technique the father becomes a imaginary conpect to their children. There two ways to reverse the effects of the technique, method one: the child must win the lottery or method two: the child must become famous.
I love the Sweeney Todd reference XD
As for horchata. I ain’t from Mexico but I have had it a couple Mexican restaurants and I am gonna be honest it didn’t taste all that bad. It had cinnamon peppered on top and was very creamy. But then again this was made in the American Southwest. So….
SLAAAAAADE!
It's either his family or himself
Horchata is delicious if the restaurant doesn't make it from powder
Steve is just really not a good person when you think about it
One of Steve’s most glaring flaws is he has a slog of both Stan and Francine’s bad qualities on top of his own shortcomings
He has a ego problem that fuels his lust and equally burns him in the process, any time he gets interested in a woman he goes into a spiral of madness trying to desperately get the girl in the most miserable charming way possible and fall to pieces in the end reverting to status quo.
When they change themselves, because by being themselves, they are HATED by even their whole street
Edit: I forgot to add. With stuff like Steverino, they take it to mean, that a child raised by only Stan. And a child raised by only Francine, wouldn’t be good, so them together makes a good kid. BUT NO, a child raised by them both is making a worse kid! Like Stan raised a cat killing psycho and Francine raised a lazy and manipulative incel, how do they not see that this just proves putting those 2 things together just equals a psycho cat killing kid, but too lazy to act it all out, right??
well steve is still an incel with both them so really there is no saving him
Can we talk about how Steve looks more like an alien in episode one than Roger?
He looks worse in the pilot but they changed him because he was a Neil Goldman clone
2:30 Im pretty sure stan was actually called to the school to talk to steve because steve locked himself inside the principals office and was yelling what all into the microphone across the school.
Look steve just gotta be patient hit the gym and stuff make the money he has be ok with being rejected and know when to leave a girl heck we see this with the episode he met his future self he if he dedicates himself he will win
I think he tried to hit the gym in the episode where Roger gets future vision and he never committed
@@KittyMonk yea i remember that episode heck Stan helps honestly he really could win
@@KittyMonkhey can you do a video on the Greased up deaf guy from Family Guy like what is with that guy?
Thanks for the Radiohead joke what's your favorite song that's not creep
You should do a video on top worst things Bart Simpson has done.
Purity Balls are very creepy
