Ah this video gives me memories of my trip there two years ago, you’ll have to go back to the church of Panagia in the evening, the sunset is incredible over the cliffs, it’s even better than the sunset in Oia in Santorini, less crowded
I’ve never fancied going to Greece but man are you selling these islands to me, something about that town halfway through the video just made me want to see it. Maybe one day

Interesting name for the port town, Karavostasi. Καράβι/Karavi means ship and στάση/stasi means stop. So it literally means a ship stop, like a bus stop or port.
"oh yeah look at that"... was on point commentary when coming up to that overlook at the top of the bike ride. I was thinking the exact same thing... wow look at this. Best island by far in this series. Love it.. thanks for the journey share.
Have always wanted to visit Hydra but now so many more Greek Islands to explore. Like your detailed videos (accommodation, rental, food cost etc). Best tour guide! Thank you.
Hey Gabriel, fun fact: chora in greek also means country. Also i like the editing when strolling through the alleys but I'd like it more if you included any comments you make (along with the music),
This reminds me a bit of Taquile island in Lake Titicaca, Peru. The climate is similarly arid and the skies are blue. Lake Titicaca is full of woven islands made by the indigenous people, but Taquile island is a land island.
Another great video Gabriel. Loved the music in the last minute or so, quite reflective. Perhaps at the end of your Greek islands travel, a summary video of the best bits set to that music would be a great watch. Happy travels!
Thank you man every summer I fell like I am traveling over the greek island ..surprise it is not so crowded there... good to know .....bike and travel you just need to do a camping soon ahahah !!! enjoy , you are bless!!!
Heavenly place and it shows on your smiling face. I love the pink and red floral shrubs. (Crepe Myrtle possibly?) What kind of work do the people do for a living? Thanks for the nice tour.😊❤
Ano Meria means Upper Corner Karavostasi means Ship Park (where ships park (or used to park).. Hora means Town. Aggali means Hug ancient Greek (a space that is formed - enclosed as by the torso of a man and his arms bent forward, in a semicircle↪ hugged). Wealthy Greeks frequent the island.
I keep coming back to your videos when planning my next trip to Greece! I'm hoping to combine Folegandros with Milos, Sifnos and Serifos for this summer! I think you'd love exploring the wild North Aegean islands like Lesvos and Lemnos, they'd be right up your alley ;)

Chora seems like a very romantic village to spend some 'quiet' time with your girl! I hope not too expensive, because love costs nowadays. I'll consider updating my list if so
I loved this video, Gabe -- thank you for all the work you always put into editing your videos! I love the way you often let the images and scenery speak for themselves with just music in the background. I also appreciate greatly your editing in prices or cautions (such as checking water depth before diving) in words. I've been to the Greek islands 3x, but never to Folegandros. Thanks for showing why it's worth a visit!
Hi Gabriel, this island Folegandros is a beautiful island and supposed to have some spectacular trekking trails with panoramic views. It may be best to use a scooter or quad bike. Of course, the water looks great to swim in and relax, you must have gotten used to riding a bit more on the bike. I know it's an adjustment with the camera in your hand. That's not goat milk, is it? I know that it's more digestible and many people are milk intolerant.
It looks like the best time to visit Greece and the islands is after the rains, *not* during the summer as everything looks really dry, brown and in need of water.
They are always like that. I don't know why people find it ugly. I think it's what makes them more unique. There are also Greek islands full of green. Plus I'm pretty sure trees can't grow there (otherwise it would have happened already) when you have strong winds, dry very hot summers and not that fertile soil
I thought when you said that you were dying for a drink, you were thinking of an ice cold Mythos 😉 But on a hot day, an ice cold milk is good too! I do it too. Btw, since you are a skier, have you ever considered skiing Mt Ida (Psiloritas) on Crete? It doesn't look any harder than Tahoe, which you went skiing on a few months back. Mt Ida is on my bucket - but have a feeling it will remain unchecked...
I was staying in the foothills of Mount Ida last August in Crete in Zaros, before heading further north and spending a few weeks up in the mountains in Axos and Anogeia watching vultures over coffee each morning.
Kastellorizo was the set of the Movie Mediterraneo (1991) I always want to go there but it's quite far (5 hours by boat from Rodhes) or expesive (flying there)
Visited Folegandros back in 2019. It's a lovely island, though I found it a little too quiet and lacking in nice beaches. Perfect for a 2-3 night stay and quite romantic in the Chora of an evening.
Hi Gabriel! I watched your videos about Greece and traveled to Anafi, Santorini and Fole this May. It was such a perfect Greek island trip. Thanks so much for these amazing videos!
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Yes, It was super diverse (it is volcanic island just like Santorini), had really nice (one of the best in Greece IMHO) sandy beaches but there was also the one with interesting rock formations and sandy shallow "puddles".
