I've heard of Sixel Designs, Wickedly Handmade, alt knots, and Twisted Hatter. (Also the cutesy amigurumi Alt guy, but I don't do amigurumi and fast forwarded through that section.) Thanks so much for the clothing section! There were some designers on there that caught my eye.

I think that a big reason I find tapestry crochet simple is because I started doing cross stitch and it's basically the same thing. If you don't already, have a go at a little bit of cross stitch because I think it's easier to learn the way of thinking that way and then transfer it to crochet (ie, one cross = 1sc)
