Big Dusky Grouper - Spearfishing Malta

- This was a mixed feelings catch. It was a target of mine to catch a large Dusky Grouper, but it's still sad that it was killed. Mind you no part of it goes to waste as it was filleted and head and spine were used for fish soup. Would I catch another? Well I will have to wait and see when I will meet another one!

Amazing catch! I could feel the excitement myself just from watching the video👌👌
Thanks 🙏 that's a great compliment 😁 I try to pass on my experience and feelings in video to the viewer!
It's so satisfying when you catch a massive fish like this, that's why we need to release small groupers. well done
Very true Steve, in our case as spearfishermen we have to be more careful. Thanks 🙏
I love your Videos 😊
Thanks so much 🙏
You found a wonderful diving spot
Yes, one to be taken care of :)

Just excellent.
Thanks 👍
Amazing buddy 👏🏼 well done !!
Thanks Rob 🙏
Nice video my friend,I find out that the bigger Dusky groupers have a hard meat if you compare it to other Groupers or younger Duskys, don't you think so?
Thanks 🙏, possibly yes. Although the last 45cm I caught was 4 years ago so difficult to remember. I haven't caught another dusky since then...
The best ❤
Amazing moments! and not always easy to shoot them from the back nice one. I'm back in Malta for a couple of months doing some freediving and spearfishing. How could i contact you?
Thanks, you can contact me on Facebook Messenger as Andrew Sammut

Hemm Hu!!!
How deep you?
19m
@@drusfishingmalta where you would suggest to start spearfishing in malta of shore? Im capable of diving 20-25meter. Thanks and good luck for future catches.
Plenty of places with that depth. I would suggest you study the sea map on Navionics and see from there. That's what I do ;)
