To be so honest, I am so happy I watched this. I really need to get myself to just do what I want and not what everybody else wants me to do. Thank you.
as second semester freshman at unc, this video was so refreshing and validating. i love your raw honesty. i had to drop two stem classes this past week and it’s so good to be reminded that it’s not a big deal. love your vibe! :)
As a sophomore who did their entire freshman year online, this video is super helpful! I literally binge these and your's is BY FAR the most honest and entertaining. Thanks for being so real!
I just now watched this vid. I live in CH, went to UNC (graduated in 2018), currently work at UNC (PT). Love your sense of humor, and your truthfulness. I literally related to almost everything you said.
i literally wish i watched this vid earlier as an incoming freshman bc like as a sophomore at unc rn, all of this advice was either super relatable or serious facts
I'm going into my senior year of highschool and I'm moving to the NC area and this is so helpful.. I've been stressing finding a good college in the area and college in general so this is exactly what I needed some big sister advice if I may lol
It just kinda sounds like you did what everyone else was doing and felt that pressure and never slowed down enough to ask yourself if this is what you truly want. I do everything you said not to do at 18. Took 18 credits both semester. Built up my resume. Yet I absolutely love it. And I discovered my passions and learned more about myself. And I want to internship at Harvard. So, yea. While you didn’t like it, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be discouraged. You just have to be aware of yourself and your life prior to sacrificing
As a 38 year old transfer student starting at UNC next week, I did find this helpful. Cheers :) Also, I'm a bit relieved that I don't have to deal with a lot of the social and relationship awkwardness that I'm sure a lot of these kids have to.
Yes. Hello. I committed like three days ago to unc and I want to explore the campus as much as possible but Ik that thrill is prob gonna be over in like some months so can you drop that list of places to visit in surrounding areas. Also very real, and funny video :)
Hi! Here’s a short list of some of my favorite places to eat/study + places to visit (includes durham and raleigh): - Maple view ice cream - Guglhupf - Cafe Driade - Shrimp + Pastas Dankery (@shrimpandpastasdankery on Insta) - Farmers markets (CH + Durham) - Duke forest trails - Eno River + farms - State Fair (seasonal) - NC museum of Art (Raleigh)
Omg where was I two years ago😭. I'm in the process of trying to tranfer to another college, because I'm over my current university. But anyways I appreciate your honesty.👍🏾
I'm a senior in highschool and enroll at the chapel hill next semester and thanks for the information. I wonder how rigorous are the courses at chapel? Like how many hours a day do you spend on homework. Do you also have a lot of fun at chapel hill? Thank you cool video.
Hi! Super good questions - I would say rigor definitely depends on your major + credit hours (how many classes you take a semester). Every major is difficult in their own way, and workload varies weekly. I've had weeks where i felt like i had nothing to do, then suddenly i have 2 exams, 2 essays and a presentation due the next week so i cannot emphasis TIME MANAGEMENT enough!!! But one thing I think every major shares is the need to WRITE: expect most of your time spent on essays, taking notes, reading responses, lab reports, etc. UNC is a big humanities school but you were accepted for a reason so don't worry!! Academics aside, I had sooo much fun, especially my freshman year. So ask questions, prioritize your time, and have fun struggling with your friends 😂 You got this 🤩
Hello! Thanks for the video. My son is an incoming freshman from OOS. (He will be over 8 hours away.) Did you take a language at Chapel Hill? Any knowledge on the French or Italian Lang dept?
Hey I am currently trying to decide between UNC and Hawaii Pacific University and I am really not sure about which one might be better. I was thankfully able to get a scholarship that pays for all of my expenses at a college of my choosing. Knowing that price instant an issue, what school would you recommend?
What kind of experience do you think a transferring junior would have at UNC? Making friends and enjoying all UNC has to offer for only two year seems underwhelming…
I don’t think you’d be missing anything by transferring! Making friends and cultivating the best experience for yourself has no time frame it’s all up to you - plenty of people walk in their junior year still trying to find their niche even if they started at UNC. Stay open minded and don’t be afraid to reach out to people!
Hi! I loved this video. I'm a current senior from Ohio who was accepted into the class of 2025. I'm actually planning to come visit in-person next Monday and Tuesday. Do you have any recommendations on specific spots on campus I should visit? Or any insider info on any unique pros/cons of UNC? Any advice would be super appreciated because I'm really struggling to decide if this is the school for me. Thanks!
Hi hi! Congrats on your acceptance that's so exciting!! 🤩Off the top of my head I would suggest parking on Franklin St. and starting from the Old Well, then walk south through campus to see everything from Wilson Library, the Bell Tower and Kenan stadium! Franklin St. is where all the main restaurants + shops are and connects Chapel Hill to Carrboro, and is beautiful in the spring. Shoot me a DM on Insta (if you're comfy w/ that bc I don't wanna accidentally write an essay on YT lolol ) and I can give you a more detailed rec list + more advice 💞Thanks for watching 🥰
I’m not gonna lie and say it’s particularly even in diversity - UNC releases stats every year on their websites and you can see the exact demographic breakout. But that being said, there are so many Asian centric organizations and events all year long that I genuinely had no problem feeling like I had that avenue for building relationships outside of the classroom
UNC Class of 2024 that did Fall semester at home and this Spring too.... but I CANT WAIT TO GET ON CAMPUS! Thank you so much for these amazing advice and tips! I will give you a follow on Insta! :D You are so funny! HAHA!
This actually is helping me so much because I go to chapel hill in the fall and I have severe imposter syndrome and I am terrified of the actual school part of college along with the whole social life aspect but this made my fears feel so valid. Thank you
“I’m interning at Harvard medical and I am the dummy they practice on” 😂

the giggle I let out when I read this comment 😭 THANK YOU this means a lot 💞☺️

Lord you seem like a fun down to earth person and this video was one of the best I've seen about Chapel Hill. How does this not have more views??

I'm a 37 year old sophomore interested in transferring to a prestige college.
Can you please rank unc campuses according to the degree value it holds in the society?
I 😘 the comment that I got into Harvard, but I came here because they gave me a full ride🤪🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠
Hi, could you please comment on Kenan-Flagler as well?
Do you take fan questions via Email! I am prospective for the Spring of 22!
does anyone know where her necklace is from?
She only spits facts
just wait till I let my class registration slander out 😤

hi! i was just wondering, how racially diverse is unc? (im asian, are there a lot of asians?)
