Razor called Richie Mo'unga his Tom Brady and he was right. Mo'unga is a player with the requisite skills to carry out the Robertson game plan. Let's be honest: DMac is a guy who possesses great physical attributes on attack ie. acceleration and preparedness to take risks, but on game management he is clueless. If anyone doubts my word, I urge you to watch his debut against Italy, where he took bad options time after time against an opponent who put him under minimal pressure. Barrett is not a first-five who can set up a backline or be effective in exiting his own half ( Just like DMac). When he debuted for the AB's, the coaches always used to play Israel Dagg at fullback so they could use his exceptionally long punts to exit their own red zone. However, Razor is an exceptionally good coach ( put away your anti Crusader biases for a minute) who has the inner resourcefulness and creativity to find solutions. If the NZRFU had a competent management, they would have selected Razor to coach the AB's five years ago, just like the Aussies did with Brumbies coach, Rod MacQueen in 1997, who then took them to a World Cup victory in 1999. We would have won the cup for sure, but we have a tradition of appointing morons to run our institutions and pay the price for this despite all the talent at our disposal. Give Razor time and support ( just like Cantabrians did) and you will be rewarded with an All Black team who you actually can have faith in.

Better at what. He isn't an international 10. Not saying Barrett is the answer but they need to give someone else a go because whatever the question is, Dmac is not the answer.
As a matter of fact Barret is the last standing best 10 we have from the last 3 wise men that Coached the ABs. Is just that he is used mostly at fullback, DM is good but not better than Barret
@@tjt6999 Let's face it. Barrett was a 10 who they pushed into fullback because they didn't have one good enough and wanted him in the team. Dmac has never been a 10. He was one at Super Rugby level but was, and still is, an international 15 or impact player.
Good to see Referee will only have to concentrate on one half back pain in rectum instead of two. Hopefully only starting as a money maker for NZR and final game but silly things have happened hopefully he has already been told last game.
Perception is everything.
ABs say Boks are world champions too much.
Result, they lose last 20minutes for no reason other than their perception.
I'm going to give Razor till end of year tour.
Me too, I think.
Razor Raygun Robertson
Harsh and unfair.
More like Spud gun
I wonder if Smithy has recommended BB to #10. I even wonder if Leon left because he was stuck with the DMac choice.
I reckon Leon left because Razor didn't like someone else having an opinion. All he has now is yes men. Reckon Leon wanted Perofetta at 15, BB at 10 but Razor didn't like to hear anyone else's opinion.
He's right. D-Mac is a great player but at test level, we need compsure, clarity, distribution. He's erratic and carries too much for a 10. The centre of the field should be the eye of the storm. Dead calm - Pollard, Carter etc.
You want the All blacks to field the best team and win each time. The issue with that is hes been handed a team that was fading last year and lost key positons. He does not have a quality team vs the last few years, the Cattle is not there. He has to build depth, its stupid to say you dont want that you want them to pic young guys to build the depth you wnt each game to win - he has to take risks..how many teams this year can we afford to risk? Japan and Australia only really! I believe hes got too much pressure on the win, and nobody from fans to the Rugby board will let him probably coach the team and make the picks he wants..he has to play it safe.
It’s a 18month process! Let Razor make his mistakes and learn about his squad.
18 months. Do you think in that time he will accept his selection mistakes and pick on form, not because he knows them. That was his reason for Blackadder and Havilli. Not saying whether they are good or bad, just selection policy seems a bit hit and miss.
TJ starting? Sevu still getting picked? Still no Proctor? what a mess why not bring in Emoni Narawa, Proctor and Plumber
McKenzie has lost a few games for New Zealand the sooner he gets a contract overseas the better .
I don't agree with you on this even slightly Martin
Very simple his game suits 15 electric there keeps him there for goal kicking
Plenty experience there razor find him hard to listen to now
Least plummber -- proctor make bench🤨havill???
No offence, but could you try and make sense?
@@urbanegorilla6005 He said Dmac is a 15, he's got plenty of experience there. Razor keeps him in the team for goalkicking, and he finds Razor hard to listen to now. Plummer and Procter should be on the bench, doesn't understand Havilli being there.
Winning is not every thing at moment theirs a lot of issues invove around the game that's my guess .
Did any one hear Razor say Luke came on and made a difference : Ummmm why did a reporter not at least say how ???? This is like a Seinfeld series a much to do bout nothing with the same actors and our media fawn over it oh boy
I never thought Jacobson really made a difference. Never have thought he did. Would never make the team in any position he covers and surely that should be the qualification of an impact player. Someone who is good enough to command the position he plays in. Not good enough at 6, 7, or 8.
Of course Razor’s not going to throw DMac under the bus. What would that achieve? It’s obvious DMac’s been dropped- he knows that, we all do.
Wouldn't stop him from throwing anyone else. Look what he did to Ardie after the Argentina loss. No reason to wonder why they don't perform when he will do that to his captain.
It's the coach off week, little Joey and Magic Mike vs. Razor and Jason Ryan match up.
My money is on the wallabies purely a business decision they can't take the cup so make some money sports bet pls gamble responsible.
(AB fan)
Mackenzie is NOT a test level 1st-five! His first instinct is always "RUN!" That is NOT the first instinct of a 10 - MAckenzie at best is a great Super Rugby player BUT not a international test player!
Beauden Barrett is also NOT a 10 - he is a international test level fullback! NZ rugby has messed up losing Lima Sopoanga and Richie Mounga!!!!!
I wish people would get over players who don't play for us any more. Their choice. Good on them for doing what is best for them. Look to the future. Plummer, Perofetta, Miller, Cameron, Love. Certainly not Dmac and no matter how well Beauden plays, we have to look forward, not back.
Bring back Laurie Mains
So if you dont want a linebreaker then dont play one play the guy who is a general
I do feel Razor has lost his way...Best Super Rugby doesn't make the BEST Abs coach...He seems to be mumbled in his responses and looks out of sorts....
Where's John. Kirwan. His. A. Very. Good. Supporters. And. His. Selectet. I. Think. Parret is. Good. The. First. And. Mchan ies full. Back. The. ABs.
Mackenzie is all over the show while Barrett's a structural genius. Take your pick!!!!!
First. Five. Eight. I. Means
Absolute crap
I agree about Dmac and to an extent about Barrett. Dmac proved that during the England Series and Argentina. Beauden should have been given the reigns then and Plummer now so we can see whether he is up to test football before the end of year squad is picked. Otherwise he doesn't get picked and we may never know.
@urbanegorilla6005 very very concerning there's 100 % evidence now he's Crusaders centric.
David Havilli in one game made 2 netres its on record that guy is long gone bad
Martin we not the best team
They are to scared to ask really tuff questions
Can’t even kick the ball
Bring on the baby blacks the geriatric blacks can’t play 80 minutes.
Dmac should be starting. BB getting too old. There’s no other decent players to fill the 10 jersy
Have we tried anyone to see? Dmac is not the answer, no matter what the question is.
@@markreilly105 who else can play at 10 ? There’s no one up for the challenge. Bottom line dmac is a world class number 10. He’s not the reason the abs are losing
@@KIWINZ2024 There are a number of reason's I agree. But we need a 10 with Game Management abilities which Razor has said all along he doesn't have, also who can kick for territory and to get us out of trouble. He is not a world class 10. The only 10 he is better than may be the Fijian 10, but even then I'm not sure, He can't follow a game plan. They should have given Plummer a try because until they try other people, they don't know who's best. Dmac is a good Super Rugby 10 but at best a good impact player at international level. Would you put him in place of Pollard or any of the other SA 10's, Marcus Smith, Carreras. Not even close. We need to develop one now, not in a years time when Razor finally admits he was wrong.
