These came out so amazing! You could run a hard bristle toothbrush over the edges to get more of that fray. I’d worry the blue in the denim or the red in the thread would run.
Other fabric glues might work better for the heels. Examples of fabric glues: E6000, Aleene's , FabriTac, Gorilla. Maybe iron on (heat set) tapes could work too.

I think I’ve seen Gorilla here and I’ve been also interested in E6000. I used what I already had in this video but I will try to get one of those next time I purchase glue❤️😊
