His entire power, his entire being, revolved around stealing what others had So, when Lloyd learned how his technique worked, what else could he offer? Nothing, because he never bothered to develop the enormous power that he only used to steal from others. Not even his best technique was original, because that was something that was already studied and documented in ancient books
Guisarme thought he had the upper hand the whole time until he physically touched Lloyd. His face literally went from cocky to “what have I done”, just seeing Lloyd’s mana literally made him feel FEAR for probably the first time.
@Tb0n3 I'd say the Abyss because the infinity wouldn't stare back at you it goes on forever. However, when you stare at the abyss, it stares back at you.
To be fair, it's hard to really innovate when there is too much... Lloyd's ability to innovate is broken.... Like, nobody else in the world could do what he did...
@@murakumo8194What the anime didn't show is Guirsame inner thoughts stating creating that void orb whipped out nearly all of his mana to do so yet Lloyd can create dozens of them casually to see what happens if they collide.
@@omnimon2230 it could be, jaw goes stiff and it is likely hard to keep a dead mouth from closing if it has to be pried open. Likely the demon couldn't keep the mouth open and escape fast enough. Either that or muscles were locked like that when jade passed which means the demon had to more force the muscles like rusty hinges on a door or like stuck wheels on a shopping cart.
But he doesn't, because if he did, how would he be able to continue studying Magic? And better yet: *There wouldn't be anyone else he could teach all of this knowledge to if he did that.*
Guisarme copied Baby Vegeta's Death Ball of Spite technique, which was easily nullified by Lloyd, who in the end he defeated with the power of the void, similar to one of the endings of Hollow Knight where Radiance is devoured by the power of the Knight's void.
This is the best isekai of the season or even the whole year. Stunning animations and epic battles, if it isn't getting another season it's a waste of potential!

Not really a high budget for the show. The studio is pretty new and innovated a more modern workflow involving digital rendering tools. A lot of the environments were rendered using tools like Unreal Engine, for example.
What's great is Guisarme is a Demon Lord, comparable to a High Ranking Angel. "If I hit you with Void, would that mean you will die?" Guisarme literally beheld the Abyss and he blinked
His mana was getting absorbed by the spell, preventing him from teleporting. Kid also set the spell right where he was gonna teleport, so he couldn’t avoid it before then.
Lloyd had figured out Shadow Wolf well enough to be able to space lock Guisarme, keeping him from teleporting. He literally complained about not being able to teleport in the clip.
