you all probably dont give a shit but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot the account password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
My husband and I are about to buy one of these from the 70s for storage. I'm kind of excited! We will be the only people in our area to have a building like this.
The 3-in-1 shelter is not generally used for living space. It is designed to be loaded onto a cargo aircraft and transported to the deployed location. My experience is that it is used for the Command and Control Center. You can live in a tent. Your computer systems need to be in the 3-in-1 shelter. A small team puts this up in no time, with the hydraulic lowering of the flooring sections taking the longest. They were designed for a specific purpose and perform very well for that purpose.
These have been around for a long time. We had 6 to 8 of them at the mining camp I managed. they can be configured any way you like from shower/bath units to kitchen and prep units to mechanical or tech offices. they are available in soft or rigid sided and there are even automatic deploying ones you can deploy with the push of a button r from your cell phone... and yes the are spendy. Anywhere from 8 to 70 thousand depending on the application and equipment in the unit...
well it doesn't have any shingles or siding or windows that would be breaking or flying off from winds from a nearby twister. but i mean if an F2 or something flies right over head it probably will toss it. then again if it weighs a lot and is secured to the ground maybe not. seems safer than a regular house at least. (except a basement/storm shelter
@@terryminchew5830 we Irakis should be thanking for his "service" .If I did , over a million irakis would disagree with me. They killed Saddam that killed US but american army still killed more civilians in our family. 12 pp☦☦☦ Fuck his service and your army
Appears to be good engineering and well thought out....containers are inherently somehwhere between R15 to R25 right...how does this container stack up? What is required to tow such a "container"; for road travel? Smart consolidation.
Would be great for a hunting cabin. Let the US military pay $200,000 each for them, store them for 3 to 5 years and sell them as never been used surplus for $12,000 each. A great deal for US Tax payers.
+Argus Loud Good luck getting a shelter that new for that money. That stuff gets bid through the roof on govliquidation. Those style shelters typically go as parts of expensive systems (comms, radar, mobile workshops) where the contents make the protective container a bargain. When they are emptied of their original gear many units use them for other tasks. I've worked out of mobile 1960s shelters still in service.
If this idea really appeals to you, I suggest you build your own version of it. Second option - Can't do it alone ? Then get together with other people who can do the job and team up to build them. That way ALL of you brilliant people can get together and make your fortunes, and save the world - together.
Lot better than the 3-in-1 shelters we had in field hospitals back in the 80s. Took a crew to assemble because half the medics were female. The roof seals leaked and replacement seals were not available. The honeycomb walls rotted. We had to sling load them and we just prayed the sling-load points on the roofs wouldn't rip out.
Would be great for disasters. Concrete slab, something level an solid, mobile crane, start the trucks rolling. Should be able to get two on a forty foot container chassis. Already have the means for handling them at any shipping port.
These have been around the military for a couple decade. Look up army spam. You can get one with a dolly set for about 10 - 25k. They even make them chemical rated.
Just get a wool blancet, this fotage is taken in Norway and it is as cold as in Canada here, if not colder. I'v sleept in a A-frame shelter with only my clothes and a wool blanket in the winter, and I kept warm.
I am not sure if the extra expense of adding the electrical dropping of the door makes sense. I would assume this is deployed in special zones where you have several people available to assist. And for people setting up housing in hard to reach places, again it most likely not something you do every day, so a little more effort in the setup to reduce unit cost would make sense.
No digging of latrines but use of bathroom trailers and shower units or even port a potties. This is more likely an office unit or a generals quarters as tents are still cheaper for the troops and they don't give anything under a general air conditioning in those tents! Heat is supplied by Jerry-can and a flame in a can in that tent also!
nice, 1 man setup. will probably be back to3-4 man setup after we break them. i like the ladder, that's a great improvement over climbing up the dolly set.
@weaponeer If I may recommend, you could always buy a cheap but nice 5th wheel camper to bring to your property. Never done it myself, but I've read a lot into it, and seems like a cost effective way to live.
I met a fellow who stole a large dumpster, cleaned it, turned it upside down so that the lids would serve as a patio cover. He used it as a home for a couple of years.
This is absolutely the way to go, i would love one of these, of course it needs a great sound system, flat screen and awesome king size bed, en suite wet room and induction cooktops powered by solar panels, pump up radio antennas and a flushing Toilet, but hey.....The potential is there !!
Respected sir, This Idea is very good, now a days we can put solar on main middle roof and put water tank. We can get facilitiy to remove water from well using motor. I have one suggestion for keeping room temperature equal. In winter iron become cooler and in summer it becomes hotter. My solution is.... You make jute ractangal shape mat, You must make arrangements to replace it on wall ,from inside part of home. Either you do welding of strips or hooks. This you must check. Jute rope mat will remain for longer periods and will give esthetic look to containers home with in minimum cost. It can be replaced very easily. Please use same method for roof. Check the temperature of room. We don't need to insulation or plaster or covering with wood . Namh shivay.
Serious military shelter customers directly contact manufacturers and have a long list of specific modifications they want. RUclips is just a convenient place for some advertising.
Love your design proposal. It may also work in with a modular concept that I've designed for community concept utilizing 1 acre plots. Your system would word well for setting up these 1 acre camps in remote areas. It will take all of use working together in these N times. Vid to follow. You've really worked out the bugs.
@JadedRockStar84, I have seen the shower units, the cooking units, but not anything like this. When I was in Afghanistan we took over a Dutch base and lived in their ISO type facilities but they were not this nice.
These are chinese made prefab container homes which can be ordered from a number of companies on Alibaba.com for btwn $5000 and $12000 depending on features.

And it looks to me like the center part would be pretty empty for storage in transit. Very cool. So many answers to problems that are underutilized. Good job, designers and builders.
Neat but I bet it would cost you more than a small 3 bedroom home in a depressed rural community and of course it still needs a butt load of add ons to be liveable. buying a used RV off of Craigslist would be a better deal and you would not need to hire someone with a semi to transport it.
Just need to add solar panels, the home biogas digester, rainwater catchment and a navy style bunk system and you have a air drop FOB from which aid workers can mobilise from
Hi MSS where can I buy one of this containers or where can I get more info about this type of container, I'm very interested. 3 units like that can be a better option for me instead of building a container home from the ground up. Google "Containerwoningen NDSM" , Here in Amsterdam, we've got FOUR "villages" of these stacked ISO containers. But in Africa you've got a lot more moisture (=maintenance), more warmth, and I bet a huge crime rate if you stack the people that close together.
Finally - I have been designing this in my head for over 30 years - so happy to see someone has finally gotten smart and built it :-)

About how many dollars if you don't mind me asking ?

I had one of these as my aid station in Iraq, without the windows. Pretty solid.

I like Fold able Container House.
접이식이라서 오래동안 비워도 파손이 안되어 유용하네요. 하나 사서 산, 강가, 바닷가 에 놓고 주말 조용히 자연을 감상하면 더더욱 멋질것 갗아요.
Wow amazing what a villiant engineer....so much wonderful.well done.
Amazing design, very well done!
My girl worked for a company in New Jersey that patented and makes these things...They are always in production for the military.

Don't need gasoline if you put solar panels on one.

is there a house like this that can be inspected here in southern California? I want to see it in person, especially the expanded one.
This is awsome....but how much does it cost and how do you ship to Alaska?

Why not wind and solar?

same concept as the old Army expando vans. I imagine these are better quality. Some of these were used by deployed military units. Sure beats tents.
