  • I finally got my torn labrum shoulder surgery! This is definitely a long process and recovery. Shoulder surgery is definitely not easy but I am glad my mom is a nurse. I am happy my labrum is no longer torn and I cannot wait to be fully healed! Thank you all for watching!

    Im at 4th week post surgery. Im glad people make vlogs. RUclips is such an amazing place to share and learn. If you are reading this comment id like to share that im not careful. I started riding post 2 weeks surgery. Im careless i only wear a sling when my moms around. But after watching some vlogs that ive learnt. Being careless might end up second time on surgery table. The other video i was watching. The dude said even at post 4months post surgery he tried to pull something hard and all the anchors got ripped and he needed to get a surgery the second time. If you are planning to get an arthroscpy labrum repair. Read your mri report get the key terms google it. Get educated whats happening. Talk talk talk to your doctor. Watch a ton of youtube videos. Educate yourself. Im 33 male but still almostcried before anastheaia and entering ot.

    When you have a serious tear like this that nerves don't heal quick and there is physical therapy you have to go through things like this don't get better it takes time and patience .

    Thanks so much for posting this! Very informative. I'm actually getting surgery soon, too. I am wondering if you could explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that freaks me out!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!

    • @carlycowart
      @carlycowart  Год назад

      Hi! So if you are getting shoulder surgery they sedate you a little for the nerve block and then when you are being put to sleep, it’s with an IV. Trust me this part freaked me out SO much. But i promise you, the doctors know what they are doing and you go right to sleep even if you fight it. Half the time people don’t even remember getting put to sleep. I got an oxygen mask and then literally woke up after surgery and it went by super quick! good luck with everything. you will do amazing!

      Im at 4th week post surgery. Surgery is not the scariest part. As long as you are in the hospital doctors and anasthesiologists will know what they are doing. Watch a ton of vlogs on youtube it will give courage and makes you calm before surgery. And youll not be scared. Read the mri report google the terms educate yourself whats happening. The first 3 days post surgery are difficult. And you gotta be careful first few months post surgery.

    • @anandwpps
