About 11 years ago in my early 30s I had a bad shoulder dislocation from trail biking at a local lake, I was going slightly downhill and hit a patch of sandy dirt that caused me to lose control. I went endo over the handlebars and landed on the backside of my left shoulder when I hit the ground eventually and slid a good 20 feet LoL. Was pretty much the worst pain I ever felt in my life. Really good video. I enjoyed it very much 🙌 I just got a MR scanning and it showed a SLAP lesion after too much bench press. Can the labrum heal over time with the right excercises? Or is surgery better? 46 year old man here. Thank you for the content 💪🏻
Hey Klaus! I can't really give specific recommendations based on not being able to assess you, but many people do rehab and continue to workout after a SLAP lesion. It all depends on your symptoms and ability to rehab the shoulder to work back to symptom free movement. The research shows that people can get back to symptom free or minimal symptom movement and exercise but a lot depends on the severity of the injury and the exercise you are looking to get back to!
Hello I am having slap tear type2 iam unable to lift my arm above 90° and very painful during raising and shoulder down to side it been one month . Can I lift my arm above 90° in lying to increase my range or it will cause more tear
Thank you for the info. I was diagnosed with a slap tear. From a mri It happen when I was at work when I was lifting a heavy box on my shoulder. But the pain like you describe goes all the way down to my arm. I am thinking about getting the surgery
So sorry to hear about this experience. Everyone definitely has different experiences. Some may choose the surgery,we just love to share options so you can explore yours!
@@Jordanfiend361 yes I had the surgery. But when they went in they decided not to fix the tear they found bicep tenodeis and had to re attach it. My pain went in my shoulder down to my forearm. They said hopefully this will fix my pain. If not they may have to go back in to fix it. It’s been about a week since the surgery was done. This pain where there was work done. But I think it’s getting better you just have to watch everything you do while in the sling
@@shalinisehgal460 my recommendation is to see a physical therapist first before going thru all this first. Some of my the exercise may give you more movement and help relive some of the pain.
I did hair for over 20 years. I’m pretty sure I have torn my labrum and probably in other areas too over the last several years. I have stength. But there’s constant aching and the stability is what’s really starting to be obvious. I can’t hold my arm up to do makeup or eat without shaking in my right arm. I’m doing pt twice a week: the overall pain is better but it’s like anything I do just kinda backtracks me. I have pain again and the weakness is not changing. It’s only been like 3 weeks but I was hoping I’d see some changes with the shaking. Theres not been an MRI done yet and I really was hoping I could heal naturally. So now I’m anxious for what is next. I’m a single mom of 2 kids. My daughter is nonverbal autistic and requires a lot more help than a typical 10 year old. I have to help bathe her and wash her hair and put her clothes on. It’s about like having a 5 year old. She tugs on me constantly now. I’m trying to figure out how to promote healing given my circumstances. She does go to her dads so I get some breaks but when my kids are home there’s just so much I have to keep up with.
My heart goes out to you as I can't imagine what you might be dealing with to manage everything. I hope that you can have a breakthrough with your PT and continue to find relief. Best of luck on your healing!
Tore my sub scap and my labrum type 3 tear been messed up for like 15 months ! Get on your shoulder prehab and rehab early and take care of your body before you can’t use it !
I dislocated my shoulder 2 times and the front of my labrum is torn, my doctor told me I should get surgery but ima choose not to, hopefully naturally I heal well
Hard to say specifically for your case without knowing more, but the general rule is that you can continue to do exercises that are pain free and don't cause any locking or clicking. Always important to work on shoulder stability and shoulder blade movement/stability!
A lot of that depends on the degree of the tear and where it is. Many slap lesions have a lot of difficulty healing because of a lack of blood supply to the tissues. However, there are many conservative methods for treatment depending on the severity and type of tear!
Great info! If you have a bone spur, is it more harm than help if you’re doing these repetitive exercises? I have a diminutive labrum with an underlying bone spur, and I’m just hesitant to do PT if the bone spur will just keep cutting into the labrum the more I use it. Or maybe I misunderstand bone spurs 😂🤷♀️
Hi Hayley! It's hard to say without knowing more or being able to assess you more closely how much the bone spur might be impacting your shoulder labrum. It can always be beneficial to do exercises for chest opening and mobility, upper back mobility, and shoulder blade movement and stability exercises. These will help you maximize any space you have available by using proper movement patterns and stabilized shoulder blade movement.
I have bone spur and torn labrum and slap tear and my arm pops so loud on bench press it's :( I'm gonna get MRI and see if I have torn rotator cuff or that I have small biceps tear as well.. but what they left out is when you tear labrum is indicative with a ganglion cyst and I have one and its causing neuropathy to my Lat muscle... I need arthroscopic to fix labrum and get bone spur gone and possibly bicep tendinopathy fixing but I'm 50+ and they don't want to fix torn rotator or biceps tendon because they will be STIFF then... They'll opt for rehab
I’m pretty sure I’ve injured my shoulder in the gym MRI evaluation mentioned possible labrum tear I’ve watched a hundred videos on RUclips on this topic And I just can’t find one that would suggest what exercises to avoid
A Torn rotator cuff and labrum Commonly known as a slap tear is one of the most painful things you could possibly imagine take it from someone who’s had knee surgery back surgery etc. this absolutely sucks!
two yrs ago i had a pretty bad shoulder dislocation and since then ive dislocated it more from lifting, rock climbing etc.. its at a point where if i swing my shoulder gets weak and it feels its goign to come out with pain. I got a MRI but I dont really know how concerning it is or how many issues i have going on. a lot of my friends who are in the medical field say i prob need surgery. (I also did PT before.. went rock climbing and it happened again.. i basically can't put my entire weight on one shoulder. if i do it just becomes seriously weak and pops out. my friend said if it was a muscle injury it could be repaired via PT but since its not it wont heal on its own.. but basically I felt ive dislocated my shoulder or "popped" it probably more than 6x with really bad pain and stiffness which goes away eventually Hill-Sachs deformity. Edema suggests acute on chronic injury. Extensive tearing of the anterior inferior labrum with detachment and tearing extending from at least the 3 o'clock to 6 o'clock position. Stripping of the capsular attachment as well as extension to the subjacent cartilage at the glenoid is noted. In addition, there is suggestion of SLAP tear. No paralabral cyst is noted.
Thanks so much for sharing all this! It definitely sounds like there is extensive injury involved to the point where you would need to chat with a doctor or surgeon to get their suggestions.
I mean bro I don’t mean to sound negative but unfortunately you’re going to have to give up rock climbing. It’s not normal to put all your weight on your shoulder and if your educated on your injury why continue to do something that will re injure no offense . You do need surgery this can’t be fixed without and oh yea it can dislocate even after surgery my advice just be happy you can workout and preserve your shoulder enjoy life seriously or you gonna end up like some people so damaged they can’t even comb thier hair I had 3 dislocations so I can speak on it
I think I might have messed up my right arm llbrum took over a year to heal. I got basix x-rays and they said I was fine. It was one day I woke up and my shoulder was basically locked up. After a year it was still stiff. My mom gave me some Move Free that Walgreens sells and felt better. I went to Walgreens and bought a few more bottles and it helped and I can move my shoulder normally again. Last winter my shoulder was freezing really bad but went away once I got used to the cold again.
I don't know if I should get surgery because I didn't dislocated my shoulder over 30 sometimes so what you think I should do and miss lady you are beautiful
doing those exercises makes my entire arm go numb. Not pins and needles, like it just isn't there at all. It makes my arm feel heavy and I can't control it. Wish I could get my doctor to take my shoulder issue seriously. But I hurt it 3 years ago, at first they thought I tore my bicep, then they tried to blame it on tennis elbow, moved on to bone spur in shoulder. All guesses on their part. I have severe pain from center of my shoulder rounded around to the back. It causes my right shoulder blade to cramp up a lot. I can't open doors, no twisting of the wrist and I am having to do everything left handed, including writing as I can't even pick up a pencil. I injured my shoulder when my do knocked me down a hill, I landed on front of my left shoulder causing the injury on the back and top of my shoulder. It pops, cracks, and I can sometimes make the numbness and pain go away by jerking my shoulder back really fast and hard and it pops. It is an "ahhhh" moment for awhile.
Hello Jen, thanks for the useful video! I have what is probably some degree of labrum tear/damage, I already went to the doctor and did PT, my therapist gave me a series of exercises and tips to keep "from here on", but no further therapy is needed at the moment. I have been doing some research on my own and trying to recover as good as possible, and my question for you is the following: I mostly feel pain in the LOWER part of my shoulder. I feel it somewhere around my rear delt and just where my tricep starts, near the armpit. It hurts when I do a W pose with my arms, or at the very END range of an overhead pressing motion (like the last 2 inches). If I reach down to grab something from the ground (like hugging and lifting my cat), the same pain appears. Same thing if I try to flex my bicep, I can't really squeeze it because it's painful. Do you think this is still a slap or a bankart tear? Holding my arm down and trying to bicep-curl against it, it's not realy painful. Doing pushups is possible, while maybe not completely natural shoulder wise. But anything that makes me stretch and/or flare out my arms too much, ugh, very painful. I couldn't even dream of doing a pullup, lateral raises, bench press or overhead press at this moment.
Hard for me to give exact recommendations, but it does sound like you are still having some referral symptoms from the injury you had. You could benefit from doing a lot of chest opening mobility, upper back extension and rotation, and shoulder blade stability. If we have good shoulder blade stability and movement, as well as upper back mobility, this can really help support the shoulder!
@@docjenfit I understand, and that sounds like great advice even if you don't know my specific case. I wasn't really considering the chest and back drills, but it does make a lot of sense. I'll keep those in mind! Thanks a lot 💚
Thanks so much for the question! Very hard to say because this depends based on the severity of the tear, location of the tear, and severity of the disability because of the tear. Would recommend seeing someone in person to get more feedback if you have a specific question!
Saw my PT for shoulder pain and he thinks it may be my labrum. Its on the posterior side of shoulder. It only hurts when I flex my biceps or during lat pull downs. Not when I bench press. I hurt it during deadlifts. Is surgery required?

Hello, recently I dislocated my right shoulder anteriorly while surfing. I had it reduced by a family member within 45 minutes of the dislocation. I’ve had my arm in a sling for a little over a week and haven’t had much pain after the first few days. I’ve tried checking my shoulder mobility and I can’t raise my arm laterally or abduct past 45 degrees. I fear I have torn my anterior labrum since it is of high probability, however I only have very slight popping with no pain occasionally. It is my first time dealing with dislocation and am going to try the physical therapy route of recovery and god willing have a stable shoulder. Am I showing good signs thus far?
Tough to say with just that short synopsis, but it will be great to get with a physical therapist in person. They should be able to give you good direction!
I’m going in for surgery tomorrow. I dislocated it MTN biking and thought I could get it back to normal without surgery. It’s dislocated probably 10 different times over the past three years. Fingers crossed.
Hii, in my MRI report it showed small oblique tear in shoulder labrum, i.e, bankart lesion extending form 4 - 5 o clock. I m very worried about my future will the be life time thing, I don't know because my shoulder hurts a alot I'm 23 yrs. Will I need to do a surgery for this ??
Unfortunately, I can't determine whether or not you'll need surgery, but keep in mind not everyone does! Hopefully some of the information in the video helps!
Unfortunately I'm unable to say based through comments. Not sure if you've had any sort of assessment in person, but that's where I would recommend starting.
Got MRI done on my shoulders and consensus was that I both my labrum’s are torn along with biceps tendinitis. Trying to do other avenues without surgery. Got two rounds of steroid injections in both shoulders and didn’t work and so now Dr is recommending trying PRP. Have you seen good results from PRP with shoulder tears?
Hi there! it is really difficult to say for your specific situation. I know that there are people out there that have found benefit from PRP treatments. We did a podcast with an expert in the area that may be of interest to you: www.docjenfit.com/podcast/episode301/
I don’t know what I have I have a pain that’s deep in between the front and middle delt I still do workout and I thing that my delts being so big help me that I’m able to still workout and lift I use bands and I use a hard ball against a wall to kind of massage it when lifting and it pops and usually after the pop it doesn’t hurt as much but I’ve been dealing with this for about 4 years
Sorry to hear this. Hard for me to guess what that might be from. We have a great shoulder plan on Jen Health that could help you explore this more. Try a free trial at jen.health/freetrial
I just had a slap arthroscopic surgery. JUST A DEBRIDEMENT. So my shoulder still clicks. It has been 2 weeks. I didn't know that no repair would be done with anchors. Do you get use of the shoulder back sans the total repair?
I guess it always depends on the severity of the original injury, so it is hard to say what the definitive prognosis would be. But many people can get a lot of function back!
i feel pain and popping on my shoulder joint everytime i reach forward or if i lean forward to pick up something. Also when i lift my arms to remove my shirt.
Hi there! Unfortunately I am unable to recommend medicine or medical interventions through comments! We do have some exercises suggested in the video though!
I had a subluxation of my shoulder and I have no pain at all but the I do have what feels like a little crack sometimes or a little catch when doing a push up? Any idea of what it could be? Even with not much pain
It's hard to try and give a diagnosis based on limited information like that. With a subluxation or dislocation, it could be a few different things! I'd recommend seeing someone in person to get an exam!
Sometimes you can have night time pains with these types of injuries. Doesn't necessarily mean it is coming from putting extra strain in the area though.
Hello Doctor, I am a cricket player fast bowler. but from last 7-8 months I have been suffering from shoulder pain. There is always a clicking sound in my shoulder in any type of movement. While bowling I don't feel any kind of pain, but it pains too much while throwing the ball. Recently I've done the MRI it's shows i have a slap team which is clocking 11 to 12' O clock and There is separate tear of the anterior inferior labrum which takes the form of a Perthes lesion. Labral tissue is torn from the glenoid rim but remains attached to the periosteum. Stripping of the periosteum along the anterior inferior glenoid. I have no pain or discomfort at all except throwing, i can do everything without any pain but i want to get my throw back. What do you suggest me to do now and how big my tear is in term of grade. Thank you.
Hi Pranto! Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, we can't give specific individual advice through the comments. I think discussing this with a doctor, surgeon, or physical therapist in person would be the best approach.
The goal would be to gain back comfortable mobility, start to build strength and control within that mobility, and then work back to function or whatever your goals might be!
Hi there. So sorry to hear about this. Unfortunate there’s not much we can do through RUclips comments, but I would recommend working with your doctor and physical therapist!
Great info. I really needed these exercises. I do a lot of bjj. I’ve been training 6 years now. Recently my training has exposed me to a potential tear of some kind in my shoulder. Awaiting an appointment with a PT. These help in the mean time.
I went back into the Dr and discovered my anchors broke loose😮 One of the anchors was stuck tearing my humeral head. Back into surgery, I went to repair the repair😢. Talk about pain😮💨
Based on the interviews that we have had on PRP/Stem Cell injections, there is still a significant amount of conservative rehab that comes along with these injections in order to get true "healing." It may have some impact on the rate of tissue healing, but we need to help the body overcome the underlying restrictions that may have contributed to tearing in the first place.
Thank you for your feedback, Sarah! These are podcasts where we focus more on the information, BUT we do have several videos that go out which are much shorter and focused on the exercises. :)
@@docjenfit I did and went through repetitive loops for a labrum tear and possibly further tears that would have to be exploratory. Surgery PA wanted to go back to PT even though that was enhancing symptoms and pain increased. Finally seeking a second opinion on Wednesday

Last friday I fell on my shoulder after slipping...went to ER xray was fine, awaiting mri now in a few days. Spoke to ortho on phone who believes labrum tear. I've had occasional soreness but not terrible...worst issue is instability. I keep it mostly in a sling but very simple movements can make it feel like its going to pop out (like straightening arm and swaying gentle circles). Hard to say if stability has improved since friday...maybe slightly as in the beginning it would feel more unstable even in sling. My question: can stability get back to normal without surgery? I dont lift weights or play sports anymore now at 44 years old.
Shoot sorry to hear that! Hope you get some good advice from your ortho and maybe get a physical therapy referral! They can always help a ton with rehabbing based on what your body and shoulder needs!

Thank you for the content 💪🏻
Me too looking for an answer to this.
@@anjanak5488... same with me... awaiting a reply for your comment
Did you get surgery? I have the same tear and it’s painful. Not sure what to do. Any information would be appreciated greatly
But I think it’s getting better you just have to watch everything you do while in the sling
hi....wanted to know did it heal entirely after the surgery....i hsve been diagnosed with the same issue and surgery is recommended
@@shalinisehgal460 my recommendation is to see a physical therapist first before going thru all this first. Some of my the exercise may give you more movement and help relive some of the pain.
Really insightful video,thankyou
Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks very much for good explanation
Glad you liked it
I did hair for over 20 years.
Great advice!
I dislocated my shoulder 2 times and the front of my labrum is torn, my doctor told me I should get surgery but ima choose not to, hopefully naturally I heal well
Thank you for sharing your experience! We hope some of this info helped. Keep us updated!
Did you heal it? Im pretty sure you need surgery if it doesnt get better with PT
Tore my labrum in 1997 throwing the javelin and playing qb. Didn't get surgery until 2017.
Oh wow, hopefully the pain has bee relieved!
Wrestler here who had a labral separation. Is it true that exercises are fine as long as there’s no pain?
Hard to say specifically for your case without knowing more, but the general rule is that you can continue to do exercises that are pain free and don't cause any locking or clicking. Always important to work on shoulder stability and shoulder blade movement/stability!
Would a pinched nerve cause these feelings as well?
It depends. Nerve pain can give a variety of different symptoms. There are a few different things that can result in symptoms like this!
What about grades of tears? Also, any suggestions for baseball players?
Unfortunately we aren't able to give specific recommendations through these comments. We would recommend chatting with a specialist in person.
Will a slap tear heal on its own?
A lot of that depends on the degree of the tear and where it is. Many slap lesions have a lot of difficulty healing because of a lack of blood supply to the tissues. However, there are many conservative methods for treatment depending on the severity and type of tear!
How do you know if your tear is severe ?
You really would need to get imaging or see someone in person to be able to assess how severe a tear is!
Overhead movements are likely going to feel more uncomfortable or pressing movements. But this can definitely vary based on the type of tear
A Torn rotator cuff and labrum Commonly known as a slap tear is one of the most painful things you could possibly imagine take it from someone who’s had knee surgery back surgery etc. this absolutely sucks!
Hi Sheila, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We hope you’re feeling better and that this video gave you some info you could take!
Yes I have it and I still LIFT every day almost it's just lighter weight tho
two yrs ago i had a pretty bad shoulder dislocation and since then ive dislocated it more from lifting, rock climbing etc.. its at a point where if i swing my shoulder gets weak and it feels its goign to come out with pain. I got a MRI but I dont really know how concerning it is or how many issues i have going on. a lot of my friends who are in the medical field say i prob need surgery. (I also did PT before.. went rock climbing and it happened again.. i basically can't put my entire weight on one shoulder. if i do it just becomes seriously weak and pops out. my friend said if it was a muscle injury it could be repaired via PT but since its not it wont heal on its own.. but basically I felt ive dislocated my shoulder or "popped" it probably more than 6x with really bad pain and stiffness which goes away eventually
Hill-Sachs deformity. Edema suggests acute on chronic injury.
Extensive tearing of the anterior inferior labrum with detachment and
tearing extending from at least the 3 o'clock to 6 o'clock position.
Stripping of the capsular attachment as well as extension to the
subjacent cartilage at the glenoid is noted.
In addition, there is suggestion of SLAP tear. No paralabral cyst is
noted.
You do need surgery this can’t be fixed without and oh yea it can dislocate even after surgery my advice just be happy you can workout and preserve your shoulder enjoy life seriously or you gonna end up like some people so damaged they can’t even comb thier hair I had 3 dislocations so I can speak on it
thank you Logan Paul
haha!
Is this exercise applicable for all types of Tear of the posteroinferior glenoid labrum as well ?
It's tough to say for specific types of tears. Definitely something you might want to have assessed in person to get more directed advice.
Thanks so much for sharing and I'm glad you were able to find a solution for you!
Great video
Thank you!
I don't know if I should get surgery because I didn't dislocated my shoulder over 30 sometimes so what you think I should do and miss lady you are beautiful
Thank you so much. However, we are unable to comment specifically on surgery recommendations unfortunately.
doing those exercises makes my entire arm go numb.
We understand your pain, I hope for some peace of mind and recovery soon!
Hello Jen, thanks for the useful video!
I have what is probably some degree of labrum tear/damage, I already went to the doctor and did PT, my therapist gave me a series of exercises and tips to keep "from here on", but no further therapy is needed at the moment. I have been doing some research on my own and trying to recover as good as possible, and my question for you is the following:
I mostly feel pain in the LOWER part of my shoulder.
Literally every word that you have mentioned above, I am facing the same.
@@zetshaky Hope you find any solution to this! I'll try to reply here if I see any improvements on my end
@@ZEBASS Did it get better.
What if it’s internal rotation against resistance with the same position as the external rotation band exercise causes pain?
Though to say exactly what it is but that can be irritating for labral issues, rotator cuff involvement, or biceps issues.
Can labrum tear heal without surgery and how much time it gone take to heal and how to fo it
Thanks so much for the question! Very hard to say because this depends based on the severity of the tear, location of the tear, and severity of the disability because of the tear. Would recommend seeing someone in person to get more feedback if you have a specific question!
I regret ever going to the gym😢,
Awh no! You can get back to the gym :)
Saw my PT for shoulder pain and he thinks it may be my labrum. Its on the posterior side of shoulder. It only hurts when I flex my biceps or during lat pull downs. Not when I bench press. I hurt it during deadlifts. Is surgery required?
Hi Alexander, thank you for checking in. Surgery is not required, but it's hard to saw what will be good for your body through youtube. Try some of these tips and check back in with us!
@@docjenfit I will. Thanks for the reply
Great tips
Thank you for watching, Umer!

Any chance of a 12 year accidental labram tear (anterior, posterior and top tears with fraying) for healing?
Unfortunately I'm unable to say based through comments. Not sure if you've had any sort of assessment in person, but that's where I would recommend starting.
Got MRI done on my shoulders and consensus was that I both my labrum’s are torn along with biceps tendinitis. Trying to do other avenues without surgery. Got two rounds of steroid injections in both shoulders and didn’t work and so now Dr is recommending trying PRP. Have you seen good results from PRP with shoulder tears?
Also, Side note, I have done physical therapy for them for the last 2 years
Hi there! it is really difficult to say for your specific situation.
The sad thing is there is f*** all you can do just contine life ice whenever it hurts hope to get surgery and recover
Hoping for a quick recovery!
I can't press anymore than 30lb dumb bell over head whereas I used to do 75lb db with right delt
Keep working at it and finding the restrictions that might help you open up those shoulders more!
i feel pain and popping on my shoulder joint everytime i reach forward or if i lean forward to pick up something. Also when i lift my arms to remove my shirt.
Hmm definitely symptoms that point out something might be going on. I would recommend trying to get assessed by a PT in person!
I am suffering from this labrum tear on both shoulder for 1 year. Plz suggest me some medicine so i come back into the field...

I just diagnosed with a posterior chondrolabral seperation. What is that
This is just referring to the labrum at the posterior or back side of the shoulder joint being separated from the cartilage on the shoulder joint.
Would that be a tear
Can it affect your sleep I always wake up after a few hours and like it’s weird I’m starting to think it’s because I’m straining the tear?
Sometimes you can have night time pains with these types of injuries. Doesn't necessarily mean it is coming from putting extra strain in the area though.
U know i need your opinion on my injury of my shoulder really need it can u give me where i can talk to u
Hi Mohamed! Unfortunately, I can't diagnose over youtube, but I'm hoping you're able to reach out to your primary doctor!
Hello Doctor, I am a cricket player fast bowler. but from last
7-8 months I have been suffering from shoulder pain.

It always depends based on the severity, symptoms, and what you do to rehab!
If a S.L.A.P. tear is actually identified on MRI, what is the goal of P.T.?
The goal would be to gain back comfortable mobility, start to build strength and control within that mobility, and then work back to function or whatever your goals might be!
@@docjenfit Shouldn't it be repaired first, then apply the P.T.?

Best of luck with the recovery!
Joe 'Rogan says CPI IN TIJUANA CAN REPAIR IT WITH A SIMPLE INJECTION OF STEM CELL...OR PRP ? ANY THOUGHTS ?
Based on the interviews that we have had on PRP/Stem Cell injections, there is still a significant amount of conservative rehab that comes along with these injections in order to get true "healing." It may have some impact on the rate of tissue healing, but we need to help the body overcome the underlying restrictions that may have contributed to tearing in the first place.
Anyone else thought this was Logan Paul at first glance??...I'm new to this channel by the way

Last friday I fell
on my shoulder after slipping...went to ER xray was fine, awaiting mri
now in a few days. Spoke to ortho on phone who believes labrum tear.
I've had occasional soreness but not terrible...worst issue is
instability. I keep it mostly in a sling but very simple movements can
make it feel like its going to pop out (like straightening arm and
swaying gentle circles). Hard to say if stability has improved since
friday...maybe slightly as in the beginning it would feel more
unstable even in sling.
My question: can stability get back to normal without surgery? I dont
lift weights or play sports anymore now at 44 years old.
Shoot sorry to hear that! Hope you get some good advice from your ortho and maybe get a physical therapy referral! They can always help a ton with rehabbing based on what your body and shoulder needs!
