I took one of these apart and there was no gasket but it looks like its just rubbing the outside cover can i make a gasket out of like a ziploc bag? Its an older one and couldnt find info on it

What are the vanes made out of and is there a common solvent substitute for the Gast solvent to clean them? They say not to use petroleum based solvents like kerosene so is alcohol okay?

how do you replace the gaskets? can you show a video how to do that instead of showing a new vane pump?

What if all the vanes were broken and you do not know which way the tapered ends of the vanes went before when you are replacing them?

The vanes are tapered along the lengthwise edge of the vane. The vanes must be inserted into the slots in the rotor so that the tapered edge faces outward and is even with the outer edge of the rotor. If you put the vanes in the rotor incorrectly, the vanes would extend past the outer edge of the rotor. Call us at 800-778-1540 if you need more help.
