What mount/setup do you use to record these videos? Buckmore park told me to use their mount in the front of the rt8 karts but I can't help feel that's an accident waiting to happen
I use a 'GoPro Vented Cycling Helmet mount' which wraps around the chin part of the helmet. The issue with Buckmore Park races is that you can't use the setup I have. The only choice you have is the front mount (which is rather shaky but otherwise safe) or to use a shoulder mount.
Nice video, just one question what mount and where on your helmet do you have your go pro as I have my first club 100 race in September in clay pigeon raceway and want to record my point of view of the race from a Similar angle as yours.
Hey man, i am planning to start training for karting and i just wanted to ask what is the technique you use while taking a corner where you always do small oversteers and corrections, as i only do it in the corners where no grip exists and there is a sudden direction change. I am just confused as to how it is the fastest way on ALL corners.
Hey man, been karting since i was little so ill try and help. If you look at his wheel he jolts the kart into the corner with 1 sharp movement of the steering wheel. This scrubs speed off meaning you have to break less and, coupled with accelerating early out the corner, puts the kart into an induced power slide. The little corrections you speak about is Steve controlling the slide. Its a hard technique to master but it is the fastest way round. Hope i helped :)
Sparco Arrow K. They're very lightweight, I usually get a new pair every year as they sometimes get small holes in them due to being quite thin. I like them though.
This is club100 race series, all of these are rentals that are specially prepared and tested so they fit in ~0.2/5s allowed difference. Not sure if they are owned by track or they are transported to different locations by series organiser, but its most definitely not Steves personal kart
Just realized this is Super GT
It is?

Could you tell me about your camera mount, please? This is the type of footage that I'm aiming to make, as well.
He has it mounted on the chin.
gopro vented helmet strap mount is what I use. Wrapped around the chin part of the helmet.
Nice race do you rent your kart every race you go to or do you own one?
