The Kruxed Indeed, Renegade and Cherokee are so far the fastest. However I am not sure if such setup of awd system is the best, wheel spin is necessary in many conditions. I will try to compare it during winter on some icy hill.
Got Renegade 170hp A9 last december. Best 4x4 yet. Better than old Cherokee, old j.liberty 3.7, Saab turboX xwd, eklasse 4matic, new Hilux, Hyundai kona, old wrangler... Under 1.5 tons, fast, under 8L/100kms
For the price Duster is quite impressive too. The tradition and knowledge making off road cars, is a big adventage for any Jeep.
If that's the best you've seen on rollers you haven't seen much. Go look at the TFL vw touareg. Zero wheelspin. Same with land rover. The jeep actually did far worse than I expected. In fact, these two are the worst I've seen. Especially the Dacia.
@@Jackmerius_Tacktheretrix Touareg and Land Rover have two diff lockers. It can't be compared to traction control systems. And I am afraid that it is you who havent's seen much if you think that these ones here are the worst ;) Result of Jeep is indeed one of the best if we consider this kind of awd system.
Its important to note that the jeep tested is not the Trailhawk version. The trailhawk is designed for offroading and would have done much better I believe
The 4x4 system in the trailhawk is pretty much the same as the as the standard jeep renegade, only difference is that it have the "Rock Mode".. the main offroad differences in the trailhawk version are others not the 4x4 system

Great video! For the Renegade, what kind of head unit you are using? It has menus that mine doesn't have.

is throttle input the same? you appear to feather the Jeep while clearly appear harder on the Dacia.
It's different. Jeep reacts immediately at low throttle, Dacia needs more rpm.
Could you please test the New Duster model ? Comparison would be better ... and fair !

Good to know, are you sure the new Duster did not adopt the last Nissan AWD? Electronics can easily make the difference. You're also comparing two cars, one costing quite twice as much as the other ... But thanks for your tests !

The driver in the jeep is better than the guy who drives the duster. The driver in the duster push the gas pedal very hard and that is totally wrong...the driver in the renegade push the gas pedal with very little strength and the car balance as it needs to unclimb the rollers....
Maggioros Nikos Beccaccia hunting Epagneul Breton Funny, I got tens of comments that driver in Duster is not pushing gas pedal hard enough. The truth is that both drivers did everything correct, it is reaction of cars that was different.
I have the renegade. If it loses traction you can floor it and the car will cut power and grab the brakes to send power to the wheel with traction without excessive spinning. Probably not the driver
jeep is on another level of car, and price, not comparable. jeep is one of the better of the world in its segment, dacia is the cheapest of the segment
@Alex Voinea you have less. Dacia is less than Jeep. Dacia is more quality respect the price. But in 360 degree is less than a renegade. And you pay less for less.

Just goes to show that the Renegade is superior in every possible way! The Duster is a cheap ass piece of junk. Crappy build quality, sucky interior and less than impressive driving. I Test drove one and it was the most embarassing thing ever. Wouldn't wanna be caught dead in such an inferior piece of crap. I own a Renegade and off road it just rules. Even in harsh winter conditions and with just all season tires it didn't even blink once. Outstanding.

EDL works with ESP off, in such setup there is no cut off engine torque.
duszaniespokojna with 3 rollers duster looks hard to go forward compare with renegade can easily handle the rollers. Did the ESP light flick on during test with ESP off on duster?

I don't know if the light was blinking with ESP off, in other cars it is.

I believe you've taken into account that Duster's simulated diff lock kicks in north of 2-2,5K rpm?..
Without simulated diff locks it wouldn't get out at all.
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers Yes, I know, but it looks like the Duster's driver is reluctant to push it beyond the point of diff lock RPMs. It may be illusory, but that's what it looks like from the outside (on the video).
@@mushupat If he wasn't pushing it to a level of traction control intervention, he would be stuck. Other thing is that the system is cutting and regulating the throttle when slippage is detected.

Its by design in 1x3 on Duster, you never have 3 wheels in the air in reality, and the Duster benefits from surface friction.
Cainori Not in the air, but in unusual conditions three wheels may have no traction like on ice pads. Very rare, but possible. What do you mean by benefits from surface friction?
Maybe, but you could have one or two wheels in the air with little to nine friction on the others...

looks to me that there are different drivers, the guy on the duster accelerates too much. neverthlesss, jeep is a much better car.
Jeep reacts immediately, no need for high acceleration. Duster needs more rpm to react.
All these Dacia duster owners trying to find excuses to protect their cars. Haha
a 1990 panda 4x4 is a lot more reliable than a dacia, and have better off road potential, or snow street ones.

@@LukStyle1985X-Trail doesn't have any mechanically locking diffs. Front and rear are open, center is not even a diff but a clutch pack. LOCK mode is just a different programming, there's nothing that needs driving a few metres, there's nothing that needs mechanical engagement like traditional diff lockers.

Dziwne gdyby jeep przegrał tutaj z dacią.
Funky Monk Powiem tak - ten film zmontowałem w związku z ogromem zarzutów, że kierowca Dustera za mało "gazował". Test jasno pokazuje, że dla niektórych systemów nie ma to znaczenia, wystarczy minimalnie powyżej obrotów jałowych...
Zarzutów od dusterowców😎 o oszustwa przy badaniu trakcji? Wariaci? Jezdzilem tym czymś, sorry ale nie uda mi się inaczej nazwać, gdy szukałem małego dostawczaka. Logan był najgorszy i padło na jumpy. Z SUVów duster również najgorszy i zamiast na x1 padło na Renegade. Lepiej wybrać nie mogłem, bo gdy od grudnia zrobiłem Renegade 11kkm równocześnie jeżdżę wszystkim gdyż wciąż szukam małego, kolejnego, SUVa do leasingu. Stonic, x2, q2, q3, x1, kona, sportage, i inne. Dopiero x3, e-pace, xc40, q5 i temu podobnie kosztujące byłyby fajne do jazdy, ale to mój pełny Renegade+70k PLN...

Guys, beside the fact that you have got a very interesting idea, what makes people interested in watching your video(s), everything else is prety dumb, and let me explain why… As an experienced owner (and driver) of one Dacia Duster 1.5 dci 4x4 model, I can surely claim that guys you gave Duster to drive are all but experienced 4x4 or all wheel drivers. Do I have to mention the idea of comparing gasoline to diesel models in some of your videos? Is it needed to mention clearly visible favoring of other models and lowering the Duster’s potentials by on roller maneuvering left and right to keep Duster as long as possible on rollers, but letting other models to escape it by climbing aside. And there are many more dumb things you do in your “testing”. So please do it right, or don’t do it at all.
Dragan Lavrnja OK, that is your opinion which I do not agree. Me, cause we are not "guys". Just me and my gf behind cameras. Private, hobby channel. Gasoline vs diesel - and what is the problem? There is not much torque needed in roller tests, I made video which shows it. Favoring other model? Give me one reason for that. I don't care about the results of tests at all. And I like Duster, I was even considering to purchase it. And I get tens of comments that Subaru paid me, Audi paid me, Jeep paid me, aliens paid me etc. Boring, but as the creator of channel I have to respond.
Left/right maneuvering - yes, to keep the car on rollers if it is moving to the sides. And moving to the sides doesn't help (there is also video which shows that). But I also get tens of comments that cars should not do it, so now I am behind the camera and I show the driver which side should he turn the steering wheel. And of course I get tens of comments that it is helping to pass the test, exactly the opposite of other opinions... Some cars instantly move forward or torque steer is close to zero that there is no need to move the steering wheel, but Duster was not one of them. So if you want to comment this way, ask about the details first. Or don't comment at all.
