Most lawyers do not want anyone on a jury who: 1) has had memory training; 2) holds an advanced degree; or 3) seems smarter than they are. No, they want someone more... malleable... that they can shape and form just right for their trial purposes.
This whole trial was a complete sham and a disgrace to our justice system. The verdict will be overturned on appeal or the whole decision vacated. When this happens, action needs to be started to have the prosecutor and judge disciplined appropriately.

Look the verdicts in these cases are actually in my way of thinking, all second hand in importance. The way I see our courts being politicized is actually frightening to me. First of all, a judge is there as a REFEREE to ensure all legalities are adhered to, NOT become part of the case themselves. In the case of the state vs Donald Trump, the jurors were questioned to ensure a NON -BIAS jury without OUTSIDE PREJUDICES, was selected, as much as possible. The judge was UP TO HIS A*S in conflicting interests and should have NEVER been allowed to preside over this case.

Sounds like she is a very serious, careful thinker. No wonder she couldn't be accepted as a juror.
Most lawyers do not want anyone on a jury who: 1) has had memory training; 2) holds an advanced degree; or 3) seems smarter
than they are. No, they want someone more... malleable... that they can shape and form just right for their trial purposes.
This whole trial was a complete sham and a disgrace to our justice system. The verdict will be overturned on appeal or the whole decision vacated. When this happens, action needs to be started to have the prosecutor and judge disciplined appropriately.

It is absolutely true. The jury can do that. Either by sending them to prison or letting them walk out the door. You lack the ability to comprehend that fact.

Look the verdicts in these cases are actually in my way of thinking, all second hand in importance. The way I see our courts being politicized is actually frightening to me. First of all, a judge is there as a REFEREE to ensure all legalities are adhered to, NOT become part of the case themselves. In the case of the state vs Donald Trump, the jurors were questioned to ensure a NON -BIAS jury without OUTSIDE PREJUDICES, was selected, as much as possible. The judge was UP TO HIS A*S in conflicting interests and should have NEVER been allowed to preside over this case.

Agree, I've served twice. You remember the trial and the outcome the rest of your life. Each time the Judge talked to the jurors after the trial and told us we made the right decision. He pointed at one guy and said, "You were the holdout". He could read people.
