  • The parts that we used are linked in the description below! By popular request, this video shows how to install the lights to backlight a Chevrolet truck grille. Our example installation is on a 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD.
We used 9 Optronics Amber Lights to backlight the grille. We custom cut some ABS plastic to mount the lights behind the Chevrolet logo. A helpful tip is to cut the ABS plastic into two sections and tape it in the middle. This provided some extra flexibility to match the curve of the grille. After waterproofing all of our connections, we secured the lighting unit with industrial hot melt. We also added a plug and play connector to tie the lights right into the factory parking circuit. The plug and play connection is also useful for maintenance so you can disconnect the lights for grille removal.
The lights for this install only draw .75 amps total.
Please note that this is an in-shop job ONLY and we can not send you a kit for this installation. If you are interested in having Wicked Warnings complete this job for you, please send us an email at info@wickedwarnings.com with your request, noting your type of vehicle and pictures are always helpful! We can quote the job and schedule your installation.

I missed some information on what I'm going to ask. Does this truck come equipped with adaptive cruise control and would this interfere with its safety function?

why not one led strip ? seems like a little much what you did. also looks like a pain to change a light when they go bad.

We explain that in the video. This method was brighter and provided a better display.
