I don't know to laugh or cry out of joy... this song invokes intense emotion and energy with beautiful melodies and killer riffs, and bottom end rhythm section is alwaya amazing. Seen them live several times. Love to go to Japan and see their final 10th Anniversary show in Yokohama Arena...
Completely unbelievable! I used think all the rock bands from 70s and 80s were best it could ever get but these beautiful ladies prove that wrong with every note they play.
My gawd - Mincho is fierce. I was fortunate to be about 6 feet to the left of this camera - right in front of Kanami - and having our faces melted by her was a beautiful thing. Thanks so much Vlad for posting this!
Yes, any normal person would stare at the stage with his jaw on the floor, forgetting that he must be on the guard against the trespassers. On the other hand, how can be any trespassers when BAND-MAID is playing? They dominate the hearts, and no one can resist!
Who does instrumentals in 2023 and actually play their instruments well without backing tracks... BAND-MAID That's why I and all the masters and princesses love the servings the maids give us. Truly magic time and so much fun.
Absolutely! Although, I think, the generic public has lost the understanding of good music. Nobody expects the musicians to play their instruments anymore. When BAND-MAID played "from now on" at Lollapalooza, the audience was clearly shocked, and could not really understand what's going on, I think.
@VladimirChupin I love that. My 1st serving was Thrill video. I enjoyed but surprised, not sure what I saw. I watched the video again & again. Attended 3 live servings in last year. Big smile thinking of those shows. They evoke emotion in listeners. That still shocks me in a good way. Cheers
@@gmcjetpilot BAND-MAID is very special in this regard. Indeed, they evoke emotions in the audience in a way very few bands do. I call it "Music 2.0". Remember there was "Web", and then there was "Web 2.0", which appeared when the blogs and social networks appeared? The key difference was that the users could leave comments, and that thing changed our world permanently. In the same way, BAND-MAID communicates so much with the audience, and involve people so closely in their performance, you feel like they really take you to their higher world. It's an amazing feeling, isn't it?
As much as I enjoy watching Band-Maid's official live videos, I keep going back to the videos you put out, Vladimir. They are absolutely top notch. Thank you so much for your efforts.
Awesome video Vlad, this was my third show. I checked out the band in a different location each gig. The first, at the Filmore in Silver Spring, MD in front of Kanami. Then in NYC in front of MISA and at this show I was two people from the rail in front of Miku!
We are lucky that we still can be at the rail in a small venue... if we want to 😍 I think the time for this is almost gone. BAND-MAID is gaining popularity, and even in the West they will probably play the larger venues from now on. I am glad for them, of course, but to see them on the horizon instead of at arm's length... Not so great anymore, of course. I actually hope they may play sometimes a smaller venue, like what they did in Shibuya Eggman for the Pre-US OKYUJI in 2022. I would be glad to pay even some very high price for that. Once in two years or something 😊
@@VladimirChupin, I agree, I am jealous of the fans at a NYC show before Covid when Miku walked off stage and into the crowd. I swear I'd lose my shit.
@@christophermoorhead5827 Yes, that was amazing... And it was so funny that she was like waist-high for the guys around her, and those towering men were so shocked by her appearance that they all could not say a word 😂
Just WOW - From Now On is a serious piece of music by all of them. Kanami's picking, Miku's strumming, Akane's drumming and MISA's rock solid bed rock bass playing. The Maids are the best rockers I've listened to in my lifetime, and it will most likely remain that way.
It is conceivable that other artists could manage a decent reproduction, a cover if you will, of this music. But the writing, Kanami compositions, are among the greatest of all time. That mind is irreplaceable, unique, it can not be overrated.
@@K.H.D710 Well, I was thankful to him that at least he moved a bit away, not blocking my view entirely. If he would sit in front of me, I would have to hold my phone above my head all the time, and the people behind me would be pissed off, probably.

I keep rewatching their MV for this song, which came on the Blu-Ray on Unleash EP. It's exactly as you said, "elegant power." If they ever play Budokan, they should play it in circular configuration, and set the stage as in that MV - facing each other, not the crowd. That would be interesting...
@@VladimirChupin I stole/paraphrased the "elegant power" from another fan because it was so accurate! And the stage at the Boston show and how they made use of it on the fly definitely made me think an in-the-round concert could be amazing.
@@stevehall5128 Elegant Power. That's a tough one to top. Somehow I don't think a man could write quite like this, well anyone really. but it has such a delicate, feminine touch. These shows are historic.
Watch Vlad’s San Diego “From Now On” for an excellent Akane cam angle, if you have not already. I have one also from there. And one from Phoenix where you can hear Miku dominate the mix.
Easily the most incredible and lovable band on the planet today . Friendship, respect and great music. These girls deserve all the respect and success that comes their way ❤❤❤❤❤
what a great spot.. it's rare to see guitarist effect set up up close.. and seeing Kanami sensei is even rarest.. 🔥 man, I wish I was that security guy.. 😅
Yes, it was a very nice OKYUJI. The configuration of the stage was very interesting, there was a big empty pocket on the ground floor where I stood. And the girls ventured there from time to time, including Kanami. There was a little boy next to me, like 7 years old maybe, and she was fascinated with such a young master, she would approach him a few times, and in the end gave him her pick. And Akane gave him her stick 🥰
Oh yeah, that's for sure! I really needed it. With all that shit-war, flight from Russia, settling in another country... I needed to unload my mind of those anxieties. And BAND-MAID was the most powerful tool to demonstrate to me, one more time, that there is a lot of beauty in the world, and the life is worth living. Viva BAND-MAID!
How in the fuck did I just find out about this band? I'm old but damn, I would have thought somebody would have said something anything at some point in the last decade. Well, better late than never I suppose.
Oh yeah... I'm asking this question to myself all the time. I bless that moment in 2018 when I finally clicked on that white thumbnail for THRILL which RUclips was pushing to me already for half a year or something. I was absolutely pessimistic there would be anything noteworthy behind that photo with girls in maid outfits. But I clicked on it, and life was never the same for me... May God bless the Maids!
