Suppose your schedule is part of a collection of schedules and doesn't start at 1. Let's say your WBS starts at 1.3.5. How can you customize project's WBS or Outlines to start at 1.3.5?
Gannt Chart Format>Check Project Summary Task box. There is likely a hidden task at "0" that is altering and making your first task start at "1". I have been searching and searching for the same issue as yourself and this fixed my schedule.
Hi Tom and everyone, I've been looking for a way to prefix the WBS Id with the name of the project. In the example above it would be 2020(2021) Tokyo Olympic.1 2020(2021) Tokyo Olympic.1.1 ...etc, anyone found a way of automating this ?
@@TomHenry Hi Tom thanks for the quick reply I think from memory my understanding was network diagrams are sequencing task, whereas WBS is more the whole structure of all tasks / subtasks that are in the project . Not necessarily sequenced on the timeline.
Outline-numbering and levels, makes organizing look so much easier than I knew, Thanks Tom!
You bet!
Quick and easy to follow. Well done and thanks!
Good presentation. Easily comprehensible. Thanks.

What you can do to start the wbs with 0 rather than 1?
Use the project summary task
Hi, nice explanation. However, my numbering in WBS scrumble. I know I need to update but how do I do that?

How do you make it so that the top line (Tokyo) isn't included in the WBS breakout? TY.

Hi good instructions but after a tree vie of WBS any ideas?
The network diagram!
@@TomHenry Hi Tom thanks for the quick reply

This was insightful but it was more of an overview instead of a "how to build a WBS".
How can we access all these functions on the web browser version?
You can’t. You have to use the thick client
@@TomHenry I'm just wondering, is there a way to show it like a wbs on the chart to the right. As in, a drop down chart.
@@juancamilomedina3335 yes. Your project online administrator could put it in a view.
Can u show the visisual wbs
The whole thing is blurred.
Professor Please, I want from you this project 🙏🙏
