I have naturally dark blonde hair. I can go darker or lighter. I love this shade of brown in Colorsilk. It gives you a nice light natural brown shade without red highlights. A beautiful color.
I loved loreal for the longest time but it started drying my hair out bad. I use the medium ash browns or cool browns. Ash helps neutralize reds. Anyway I started using Revlon colorsilk and like it better because it doesn't destroy my hair. They sell it at Walmart and Target.
Thanks for watching my video and commenting, I appreciate it I started back my reviews I found an even better hair colour called Herbatint I find it even better and it doesn’t dry out my hair at all I love it started using it about a year now and they don’t test on animals really great product!
Been looking at SO MANY videos on the best light brown hair dye. None of them seemed to do justice and I'm sick and tired of my brassy orangy hair! I tried to dye it light brown it turned out a DISASTER with brassy tones and the brassy tones make my hair look dry and disguisting. This color looks so beautiful! Totally going to get it thanks for the video (:
Just a tip that has worked for me if I used any hair color and ended up with reddish under tones, I used a silver toner mixed with 8 or 10 will work also of peroxide, this has helped take away the reddish under tones so i thought I would share that
omg so i bough it and i absolutly love it it did exaclly what u said in the video im stocking up on the boxes actually found mine at dolleramma for 3 dollers :)
hi what colour was your roots before you used the revlon coloursilk? my hair is virgin dark brown hair and I'm wondering if this colour will show up on my hair?
Hi thanks for your comment, I had Medium brown my roots would have been natural and the ends coloured on but this made my hair all the same colour and no red tones which was great and it lightened my coloured hair so it should be fine for your hair.
I have darkest brown hair. I had dyed them with the revlon medium brown shade. but my hair didn't change color. I wanna go lighter. which shade do I use?
hey thanks for your comment I’m not a colour expert so you may want to consult one but from my experience you can’t lighten dark hair especially already dye hair with the regular box dye kits you need something stronger than peroxide you would need to bleach the hair and than add the colour you wanted or do streaks so it’s less damaging
i know this is extremely late but you can always make your hair lighter by choosing “light” instead of mediums like light brown, light golden brown etc my hair was almost black and I used the light golden brown revlon and left it in my hair for an hour and it lighten it a lot and got a lot of compliments on it so it’s noticeable lol other brands no one noticed lol but yes it’s possible but it won’t make you a blonde obviously.
I've had that problem with L'Oreal's darker shades, too. Even the dark blonde's come out brown. I only used it for light blonde type shades after that. The smell is also so bad. I love Colorsilk. It's cheaper and the colors come out right.
thank you for the feedback I tried so many brands over the years lol I do find colour silk changed the formula when they changed the look of the box and tbh I didn’t work as well which was upsetting but I found another brand that is not harsh on the hair and doesn’t test on animals it’s called Herbatint it’s slightly more expensive and I have only found it in natural stores but honestly it’s true to the colour and a great product
i usualy use the 118 clariol nice and easy natural medium brown but i decided to try the revlon light brown 51 this time i got it from dollerama and it was 3 dollers for a box so i am hoping it goes nice light brown n doesnt just dye my roots lighter becuz if it works good i will be goin back to stock up on some boxes lol great review btw ur so gorgeous :) love ur subby
I used loreal preference as well, and got colored roots and remaining hair stayed dark Yuk! So, I'm interested in trying revel on colorsilk. Thank you, I enjoy your videos. Did you say your hair was naturally light brown? not dark brown?
I appreciate your comment!!! If you try it let me know what you think, I'm so happy you like my video's!! My hair is naturally a medium brown. Thanks again!!!
thanks for your comment and watching my video unfortunately I noticed that they changed the product so it doesn’t work as well so tbh I stopped using it, it’s a shame I really did like how it use to work
hi I have first bleached my hairs then applied Revlon medium ash blonde, God it turned out to so fake then I applied Revlon light brown the one you used but my hairs look brown but much orangy brassy. I don't know how your hairs look so natural brown. I think the clairlor dye fixed red tones for you first. whats your opinion?😊
+Lai la Mnn some people say to fix red tones, ashy color are good. but you have used dark one.I'm so confused how to fix orangy brass in my brown dyes hairs.
I think Colorsilk light Ash brown is a good one. You need to go a darker color than your present color to cover orange or brass. Go a shade darker in Ash to cover orange or brass. I have natural color work too. Stay away from reds or golden.
thanks for watching and commenting so sorry for my delayed response I hope you had fixed the problem but what Cathrine G had said is totally what I would have suggested as well
Because of you I have been loving this color. I buy 3 boxes at a time, to keep on hand. Soooo inexpensive too❣️🥰 Thank you for posting this video.

I would try a dark blonde to light brown shade. The one in this video is good. If you really want to lighten it up I'd go with dark blonde.

L'Oreal sucks so much.. just now I did my hair and its way darker than the box. Thank you for this review.
