Great video Jamie. I do a lot of timelapses for my videos, but have always struggled with the day to night ones. I'll try this next time. Thanks
Jamie! Your work is amazing! Tell Ava/Eva howdy!!!
Thank you so so much! I'll make sure to tell Ava howdy from you. It was great meeting you. You guys are a riot. Safe travels!!
Its nice

😎 You inspire me to get my skills back in gear! Congrats on amazing content. Love the car!
Awesome! Thank you! I love it too. It's a damn spaceship! hahaha
So cool
Top notch as always. Thanks bro
No problem 👍
Very cool video. Will definitely use this as basis to improve my timelapses.
Great to hear!
Cant wait to go try this out!!!
Yooo! Yea just be ready to let your camera run until it dies (for best results) haha
Excellent as always sir - thank you 🔥🤟
Thanks again!
Great Time-Lapse tutorial!
Thank you! Cheers!
Quick tip: if you shoot on sony:
Set auto iso minimum shutter to 4 sec or half your interval(180 degree shutter rule)
Also set interval priority to on.
This way your timelapse won‘t speed up to the end as it gets darker🙏🏻
Set auto iso minimum? What do you mean?
@@JamieFennyou‘ll have to be in aperture priority for this to work.
Sony‘s have a setting to set the minimum shutter, so the shutter doesn’t override the interval.
There are some downsides to this method though.
It will make cars or humans look jittery in the beginning of the timelapse🙏🏻👍🏻
Ohhh gotcha.. fuck I've had my sonys for years and didn't know that... hahahaha is this available on the a7siii?
@@JamieFenn it’s a sony thing. Amazing feature. The A7iii has it, so i guess it must have it. I don’t have one so i can’t check.
But keep in mind that it won’t work with people or cars etc
👌❤️
Hello there. The free version of Davinci can be used to process the DNG files like you did?
great video! I guess one can do a full Time lapse even day to night using just Davinci! I don't want to spend the money on LRTime Lapse and I don't use AE 😂 but for real, I think Davinci is now the one stop for all kinds of Time Lapse projects!
Absolutely!
GREAT VIDEO! :) Thanks :)
Glad you liked it!
🖤
Hi Jamie, your videos are fantastic! I wonder do you use filter when vlogging? The dynamic range between face and background is just incredible.
Hahah it's funny you ask that! I just made a video on that and posted it about a week ago :) Its literally titled "I use this filter on every video"
@@JamieFenn thank you, I usually follow your Davinci Resolve's video, didn't know you made a video about it, cheers :)
Hey can you give us tutorial on how to animate your lower third /text box? Nice video anyway! Subscribed
I'm confused. Which Davinci feature makes LRTimelapse obsolete? I thought it smoothes the brightness differences of different Iso and shutter speeds? I don't see that being done here, but also doesn't seem to be necessarily?
Its not a feature that makes it obsolete, its the editing process.
your end screen sorta got in the way there, might move it to the right possibly? Cool stuff though!
I moved it. My bad hahah
@JamieFenn all good man! :)
Actually such a helpful video would you consider making one in the future about good cameras, lenses, etc. that are affordable? I want to get more into this hobby but everything is so expensive that it's hard for me. To hear a professional talk about it would be really helpful!
Thank you SO much!! My next video is totally up your alley. Stay tuned!
Can't wait :) @@JamieFenn
Well,it's an epic 9 years in ........can tell it's been epic....quick question, what's the size of your video over the years?? Didn't know Kiki is Haitian....
I’m not sure what you mean?
Nice Tesla 😉

Hi there!
I've been following your channel for 5 days(subscribed this week) and I've already become a fan of your editing. Specially, as I am a student and only working with the free version of DaVinci Resolve 18.6, I find your tutorials very helpful.
I have a request to make. I have seen people making 3D animated laptops in the After Effects software for their motion project. Could you please make a tutorial on how to make an animated 3D laptop in DaVinci Resolve? Thanks in advance.
Hey thank you so much for the sub and welcome aboard! You will need to download the studio version to be able to do that!
Nice one! 🙂
The only thing that (probably) should be done differently is noise reduction. I think, and I saw many pro colorists doing the same way, noise reduction should be placed at the last node. Because you should work with as much as possible pieces of information placed in the file. When using NR at the first node, you are "killing" a piece of information and "down the road" you are working with fewer information than the camera originally recorded.
I did noise reduction on the first node..
NR should be at the first node
@@jeremiasschneider247 any explanation why?
@@Aleksandar.D You are supposed to do noise reduction first. When you color grade your video you'll add different hues, contrasts, grains and even some effects. You don't want that information to go into your noise reduction node because it is not mean to deal with that type of video - just raw video straight out of your camera!
