@@joel8583 Too easy for the new 'Powers that be' to screw up what was good about something from back in the day. Remember all of those sucky movies based on old TV shows? Case in point. Never try to fix what ain't broke, watch the old stuff BECAUSE it was good! There's a lot of that out there.
Thank you for posting, Thebigbadwoof. I remember this show from way back then and have also seen the re-runs in recent years. On Soap, Robert Urich proved that he was as good at comedy as he was at drama. I remember the investigating officer (played by Gordon Jump) mentioning that Peter Campbell was "shot, stabbed, strangled, suffocated, and bludgeoned". The show always had a strange sense of humor!
@doctorw2 I'll never understand why the writers like Susan Harris didn't make a 2-part story of Benson & Krause going to that country on a rescue mission to find out whether or not Jessica was still alive in his own show. That would've gave Soap a satifiable closure.
It was Chester. Jessica was convicted and served a bit of time in prison before it was later revealed that her husband Chester Tate actually killed Peter Campbell.
Yeah, but did anyone else besides me notice that there was no blood? Were they all out of stage blood & were only left with chocolate syrup (which looks more yummy than gory in color)?
I never heard of this before my boyfriend brought the dvd at half price books(and i mostly watch nick at night and tvland) since i don't trust online buying it hard finding season 2 in stores! :(
Guess they ran out of suspects. They had to include Corrine. They included Benson most likely because he was black. They included Jodi most likely because he was gay, (keep in mind, this was the 70's) Chester because he was just an all around sleezeball, so who else are they gonna include.
@doctorw2 I saw that episode--it was revealed that Jessica is in a coma somewhere on that country. I thought it was kind of a lame closure. Should've been more climatic. Benson is known for climatic moments.
How about a compilation of every time Elaine got her dress ripped off by Bobby?
DAMN! Robert Urich was hotter than Travolta!
Robert Ulrich had an amazing body.
this was a show ahead of it's time. they should bring back a updated version!
Nah!

Seventiesfan I think they killed off his character for Dan Tanna in "Vega$"
@@luisbohorquez7096 I think so, too. Either that or the short lived 'Tabatha'. He also played her boss on that show.
Peter is smokin 🔥 hot; no wonder everybody was boffing him.
stabbed, strangled, shot, suffocated, and bludgeoned? have they ruled out suicide?
Yep!
Oh man, that is so annoying, LOL!
In that order?
@@joel8583 Ikr! 😯
I can't imagine that he suffocated.

I'm interested in that too.
I could go with that!
i remember when peter got killed - i wathched this episode on tv
Me too, yes.
I was in Florida. At Disney World watching this episode.
Hope you had fun there at least.
It was Chester. Jessica was convicted and served a bit of time in prison before it was later revealed that her husband Chester Tate actually killed Peter Campbell.
Actually, Jessica served jail time awaiting sentencing. When the sentence was handed down, that's when Chester spoke up & confessed.
Lol....Did the murderer actually throw a brick in the shower?
Yeah, I saw it.
Yeah, but did anyone else besides me notice that there was no blood? Were they all out of stage blood & were only left with chocolate syrup (which looks more yummy than gory in color)?
Yep
@@laustcawz I realized that too.
You're supposed to buy the DVDs!
:)
I did.
I did.
Yep...thats him. They killed him off midway in the first season.

It's available.
@@joel8583 seen it. Got over my fear of online buying lol
@@kittykittymeowmeow19 Great! 👍🙂
@@JTRocks1 That was 14 years ago lol I still have the DVD in my place. No DVD player though :/ lol.
Now why would they put burt as a suspect if he was peter s dad. I don't get it

Robert Urich?
That's the man.
Yup my fav tv actor. RIP
