- The Resto-Mod movement has taken over, and there’s no indication that it’ll be slowing down any time soon. The business of fitting new mechanicals to classic bodies is at the very core of the hot-rodding ethos. It creates a brilliant mashup of timeless style and modern performance in a way that reminds us why we love driving and what makes a car truly special. Barrett-Jackson is no stranger to the Resto-Mod scene; you might even say we helped popularize the term “Resto-Mod.” As fans of both the old and new school, what better way to celebrate the love of cars than by breathing new life into a classic. Click through the gallery below for the top 10 best-selling Resto-Mods at the 2021 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction.

@2:06 only caught a glimpse but that 1971 K5 Blazer looked great 👍🏼
Love being able to watch these. 😎👍
I wanna be there 😭...
I wanna be that rich..
I’m gonna get to one of these one day. Must be a ton of fun
C2 Corvette resto mods and pro touring cars are bringing more money now than the originals!! Great for my 1964 Coup Corvette pro touring car.
Serious change going across the block!! Good Job Barrett-Jackson
I take the vette thanks
Just crazy!
Baron Jackson wow that was a beautiful car they just sold
That was a beautiful car you guys just saw it on that action
The auctioneers are hilarious.
These people Are Just. Nuts
Yeah, that's what happens when you get Celebrities with stupid money bidding on toys.
Who cares? Their money their cars.
I personally think they bid that one car up because it was Kevin hart…… I may be wrong
Not at all. The legend behind that car is easily worth $600k. We had almost 7 people bidding up until that point for the car. It was between 3 people, Kevin being one of them, who were final bidders.
- I work almost every year at BJ
I love that pale, mint, metallic green on the last Corvette. Too bad you can't get a Tesla in that color! Classy!
u guys should bring back kevin hart every year since he pays too much for everything LUL
kevin hart is awesome for this show, they should give him a microphone.
He's not unique in that regard.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH sure makes the show pure entertainment. It was a nice car 🚗
That split window going across the line is beautiful
That '52 Power Wagon really blew me away honestly. There's nothing I didn't like about it and whoever bought it I just hope will drive and enjoy it for all it's worth instead of parking it in the garage to stare at. Those colors in and out were definitely an awesome choice.. I'll just keep working hard so that one day I can come to Barrett-Jackson and buy something that amazing for myself.
Edit: FYI, this two thousand hour build is basically is 50 working weeks at five days a week!. Now that's truly incredible for one build and it totally deserved/earned the price it got if not more!.
I wouldn't go to Barrett for car when ignorant moron's pay 3-5 time's too much
@@JoeBidensIsRetarded I'm not someone who has ever paid one dollar more than the "True Value" and I'm not afraid of having to be patient and waiting for something that is absolutely right for me financially and so on. People overpaying or paying for the hype isn't really on Barrett-Jackson. They may push bidders to keep bidding but at the end of the day it's honestly the people buying the vehicle for making the financial decision/commitment to buy. No still means no right?. And a big mistake I see is alchohol mixed with auctions, people are more loose with their money than if they're sober. The drinks come after a "Smart/good buy" never before or you'll most likely regret it!. Just ask Richard Rawlings about that. 😂
How could you tell? The video was so dark and they showed nothing, only one side, no interior, no undercarriage, minimal engine. Barrett Jackson is where fools are parted from their money. Very few deals to be had there - people routinely overpay.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH That's not an unknown vehicle and was evaluated before the sale according to the specifications stated by the announcer
@@imhappyandyou.4003 most of these folks have their own registered car museums and can take a tax deduction for the price paid as a museum expense - more of an investment than a daily driver
Kevin living his best life
These prices are INSANE $297k for a 70's Chevelle? I know it is a super high quality bit of craftsmanship, but it's still a Chevelle in the end and not rare. There are simply too many people with too much money chasing these cars.
People are nuts and have too much money. In another generation, as the boomers die off, the demand for these cars, and their values, will greatly diminish IMO.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH couldn’t have said it better
Right .....Mr West isn't a boomer....I sure dislike how everyone has to be classified....Boomer out
They are tax right offs. I work at BJ almost every year, was even here for this '21 year and there are a lot of guys that use these for tax breaks. Very rarely will you find any car over $200k that stays for a collection. But yes, there are cars that sell incredibly high that sometimes do get bought for someone's private collection.
Simply put, if they disclose your info or name, you're not keeping the vehicle long. High priced vehicles or rare models for a collection will be bought by "undisclosed" persons.
That means find you a old school fix it up for the auction
Any 1967 vette is cool with me....please Lottery!!!
Spared no expense? I take it John Hammond got out of the dinosaur game and into restomods.
i like the AMC AMX restomod(1969..iirc)...
Kevin Hart is D'man! WOW, that was fun to watch!
🔝❤️❤️❤️❤️
Remember the days when you would lose your shirt on a restomod🤷
Big time so much bigger than life, sorry sorry could not help it.😁😁
Must be terrible,,,,, trying to impress people with the check book
3 man pink yellow and black sweater your heart are handsome
750k wow
1976 ,let my friend buy a cherry original ,ask me if he should buy it , I said if you don't I will $6200..
If I went to one of these Id need to take an interpreter so I could understand the language the auctioneer is speaking.
I've been going to auctions for decades and I can't stand this nonsense auction banter. It's designed to confuse people so they bid against themselves.
$750k?? Damn! 😬
Yup! The legend behind that car was easily worth $600k. It was insane to even see that car in person. I work at BJ almost every year.
BOY HOWDY !
15:36 Sold to the lady on the internet 🤣 😳 Oh no she didn't
Kevin Hart can't even reach the pedals in a Corvette, i can say that being 5' 0" tall with complete honesty.
As a former vette owner a 6 year old can reach the petals
My gold 82 Honda Civic would have reached $1 million.........!
When Thai people get a new house you will hear similar sounds
ace hi
K5
I will let you have my mint, red, 2008 Turbo PT Cruiser for.... $49,000.
Im not sure what was so special about that last Corvette its an ugly set up to me.
my channel does not speak is nor appear viewing 150 to 200 per day 48 hours 400 to 500 views. It's going well..
Holly shit ! I thought Eminem is the greatest rapper .
What's the deal with the nonsense syllables streaming out of the mouth of this auctioneer?
I cannot, for the life of me, understand barely a single word those auctioneers are saying. All I hear is gibberish. Half the time, it doesn't even sound like English. I have no clue how much the bid is up too, until I see the actual numbers on screen change.
Pretty lame. You can have it built for less.
Yes you can but it’s still highly expensive and can take years to build.
I'm sorry but it's just true .... American hype and nonsense completely spoils looking at beautiful cars ... I'm so glad to be European! 😇😇😇😇😇
It’s almost as obnoxious as watching European soccer matches…. Soccer.🇺🇸
@@Sockatv77 DUDE !
Id much rather see the cars in depth than this rambling crap
