Well i am a gearhead, and i truly appreciate when Ford took the Sledgehammer to the EURO boys at le mans a few years after i was born.
I also think with a substantial lotto win, well the bulk of my garage would probably be made up of vintage US steel on wheels.

I was thinking the same thing.
I have a 1980 928s. I only drive it if I'm mad at the world. Not the fastest car in the world(anymore),but maybe one of the best sounding. That's a lean mean Porsche dual overhead cam V8 under the hood. Those other Porsche guys which won't be named(911)and their little 4 cylinders killed it for us V8 guys. I admit, the 911 is cute, and the 928 is a ugly duckling and that 4 banger can run laps around a 928 but some never gave it a chance from the git go, but we still sounded better. This sale did increase the value of mine by about 10k though not 1.8 million. That's crazy. Some old dude's wife has it bad for Cruise.
Wasn't this also the first Porsche where the engine was mounted up front under the hood instead of location in rear? 944 came after 928?
The engine is all Audi, not Porsche at all.
The 928 is the only car for me from that brand.

I'm confused lol 1st ford gt at 6,300 miles since 2005 "it's barely been driven at all".... 2nd ford gt at 10,000 miles since 2006 "not garage kept, it's really been driven"...
10k is a lot of miles for a supercar. The ride is so punishing due to the suspension you can't really daily driver them.
@@DrClawizdead the older ford gt it's possible. I've seen them with quite a bit of miles. 10k miles is like 600 miles a year that's nothing for a car like the Ford gt.

@@pliashmuldba Buddy I get it, but a Porsche 928 is not an investment vehicle. There are plenty of examples on the market and it was one of the most unloved Porsches of all time. I think nostalgia got the better of this buyer cause that vehicle is not going to appreciate over what he paid.

I'm not an expert and wouldn't claim to give investment advice but...
The McLaren, probably 22-25 million, if not a bit more, especially in the crazy 2022 market. Most McLaren f1 change hands in private. I'm sure there are people that understand the market, but it's not a public thing, for the most part.
The R34, maybe 700 grand. There are only two mp z tune cars. If you got the right bidders together, it could definitely go for a bit more though. The values of the r34s are going to go even more nuts once they start being legal to import to the USA. Even at the inflated speculative values we are seeing on "normal" r34s, I would guess they're still a bargain.
I bet in August of 24, when the first cars start coming into the USA, we will see a million dollar car.
The 22b will probably go a bit nuts too, given the price one just got at auction in the USA, and the price for one in Japan, you could do quite well...
nissans are a gimmick.. ask anyone that owns one.. tge factory motors are junk and the car's are craps build from the factory..

A "Roadster" does have a Top" I've had a number of them & I would have thought you would have had quite a few over your Bloc, this is only different because they have removed the "Soft Top" & covered where it sat, so it's a "Something", a very beautiful "Something" but it's not a "Roadster". What a fukn "Travesty" putting an automatic gearbox in such a beautiful car, how people can buy something like this & just look at it is beyond me, I would be itching like a lousy dog to get in & drive it.

Even if I had the money I couldn't pay that, I love what I see but I build cars that I can drive, they look pretty good & they are useable. The C1 is fabulous, my favorite car of all time, & i fukn hate American car's, they are archaic, but the C8 could change that.

A 1979 Porche worth more than a 2019 Ford GT light weight because it was in a movie? I'm lost on that one. 4 people bidding it up doesn't make it common sense. At this point in history, they paid 1.8 million with 295 hp for a glorified movie prop.
