Hi, your work is beautiful! I have a question, what do you mean by fold 0.6 and 1.7 meter?

I believe she means that u fold each one in half not exactly half, one end of your cord should be .6m and the other "half" of the cord is 1.7m. then u take all the ones of the same length and save for later and the other half of cords of the same length is what you start using for alternating square knots but I'm not sure which length u use for the basket part and which length to use for the ends (spiral square knots and double half hitch tassels) Lol. I'm pretty sure yjr longer length is used to do your alternating square knots for the basket part.

Great video! What is the rough distance between each knot?

Do you understand how to attach to the dowel using double half hitch knots as opposed to larks head knots? for me that was one of the harder things to learn with mounting a project.
To answer your other questions, I'll try to do my best.
#1. you need to cut a total of 16 pcs of cord that are 2.3 m long each.
#2. when u look at video notice how there are 4 sections on the dowel that have 4 cords each (4 sections X 4 cords = 16 cords total). So separate your cord into 4 piles of cord with 4 cords in each. Then start with one section/pile at a time.
#3. attaching to the dowel is confusing with double half hitches, so start with ONE cord, from one end of cord measure .6m, then that becomes where you "fold" the cord (where she puts the pin in it), that makes the left side of the cord length .6m, then your right side of the cord is 1.7m long.
#4. Ignore the left short side, take the right side of the cord that is 1.7m long and attach to the dowel using double half hitches. (ignore the short end for now, it later will be your tassel). #5. take your next cord of this "section/pile" and repeat steps 3&4.
#6. continue mounting all your cords for each of the 4 sections with 4 cords each.
#7. after they are all mounted, you will use the long ends of the cords (only) to start the alternating square knot pattern
#8 note: as you continue the pattern these same working cords will be the ones that you attach to the 2nd dowel, so remember that once you mount them to the second dowel you will need there to be an "excess" of .6m (just like the short ends where you attached at the first dowel), so your when you are doing your square knot pattern plan to make the pattern approximately 1 m long.
Continue the rest of the steps as she demonstrates, I am not sure if this helped or made it more confusing! Good luck, I hope this helps!
