I use a G Code belt with an uncle miles inner belt. G code is very proprietary but I like their mounts. Molle pouches work ok. The uncle mikes inner belt is extremely rigid which I like but takes a lot of breaking in. Once broken in it's all an extremely solid platform.
Woo burn! But I gotta say your review seems pretty spot on. GBRS made some pretty questionable choices with this battle belt. Check out the Ciguera Battle Wagon. Now that is a quality super-well designed belt system. Absolutely love mine! 👍🏾
You can run it either way. Apologies if I didn't show this well. Regardless though, you got like 2 inches of belt all around and you look ridiculous. -Walsh
Any chance for an Attack Pak Reaper belt review? Would also appreciate a review on how comfortable the gravity pouch is with a pack. Your video on Attack Pak during Shot Show was the first time I've seen their products and I'm leaning towards getting their system over the AXL Eclipse for my first Tegris gun belt.
The cobra buckle is most definitely being used in helo ops. Blue force gear makes a belt specifically designed to be help rated and they use a cobra buckle. So does every other company. Maybe the lanyard you clip in with needs to open under load. But I don't think all these companies would be using it if it wasn't allowed.
usscom doesn't allow the Cobra buckle. All the current authoritized belts are required to release under load... something a cobra can't do so while it may be rated, it's kinda stupid if you're hanging and can't get out -Walsh
Try bison belt read were u told someone same thing as this one. Well the outer belt is way better than V2 the inner belt is flimsy but trying cut weight and since the outer is stiff enough it will work. It small round holes cut in it and more of the stiff material is in bison belt than v2. Guess just like anything to do with structure load bearing circles cut out instead of square windows give u more stiffness. Price is what really bad about bison
I’ve run the belt for about four months now, and honestly, I acknowledge your concerns with it, but it’s nowhere near as bad as how much you exaggerated it in this video. I run the GBRS belt and ronin tactics belt while instructing, and were both for hours a day and I don’t notice a difference at all. In between courses, I take off the outer belt and just where the shroud and inner belt. As for the cobra buckle and weight rating, I’m not actively operating, so I don’t require that in a belt, and I doubt most people who buy this belt will need that, either. In the civilian market, I don’t think there is a need for features that the other belts you featured and reviewed on your channel have. This is nothing against you. I just try to look at things realistically and practically but at the end of the day, to each their own. Nevertheless, great video 👍
haha no I agree, the differences of the belts we see can be quite trivial. Some things do annoy the piss out of me but push comes to shove... they all operate as a belt. And I usually make the videos to be ridiculous so it's at least mildly fun to look at belts all day haha so just enjoy and make your own smart decisions just know I'm likely being ridiculous lol thanks for the comments and for watching! -Walsh
Every gun person bitching about HK: “How dare that company for making military products that they don’t sell to civilians without modifying first!” Walsh: “How dare that company for making military products that they do sell to civilians without modifying first!” We really can’t have it both ways.
I own the GBRS Assaulters Belt and use it. I did not know it was so bad till I watched this review. I do not test all belts on the market so I have a limited perspective compared to someone that does short term testing. I have seen other reviews on this belt, those folks have switched over to the GBRS Assaulters Belt from what they previously used that you have ranked higher in your review, you can find those reviews doing a quick search on RUclips. I switched over to the GBRS Assaulters Belt from what I was previously using and find it to be a better solution. I find the available options equipment to be very available if you understand how to implement simple devices. Setting up canted devices was no problem for me. I think your review is fair from your perspective, others have differing perspectives. I have not tested all Battle belts on the market, I have better things to do. Like using products. I am not saying it is the best Assaulter Belt on the market under your criteria. What percentage of the Civilian market actually has a need for a ASSAULTER BELT? Civilians 0%. The question is how many want one? ???? The Military and Police agencies choose what they want under a criteria that they choose. If they choose to buy the GBRS Assaulters Belt it won't be under your ranking system.
@@ThinLineDefenseCo Just so you may better understand why they do the velcro system more intelligently. If you have ever had the velcro loops facing inwards on an Assaulter Belt towards your love handles all day long and wonder why you are bleeding around your waste at the end of the day. You would end up preferring the softer material facing inward, not a million needles of velcro loops. It is the superior solution. Just try a long hike, with the velcro system that you say you think you prefer, and you will change your mind by nightfall.
@@sanmon1135 I actually found the opposite. I really try to test the belts and I'll usually wear them for a few 8 hour shooting and recording sessions. I found that the loop side has the same contact regardless of being on inner or outer since it's so close to one another. A lot of new inner belts that have hook actually have nylon that runs the top and bottom of the belt so this problem is gone. Oddly, those belts are also half the cost of the the GBRS one with significantly better features. In the legacy style such as this and since both hook direction feels the same, I don't find the flipped Velcro being worth the inability to use products from the rest of the industry. The loop is also a wear item. So as on normal belts, you'd only replace the inner belt.... Here you have to buy an entire new belt. Which is a pretty beautiful middle finger to the customer and an obvious hat tip to a replacement schedule for a government contract.
@@ThinLineDefenseCo A shooting session and a packed out multi day trip are different. Made in America means something to me. Foreign is always cheaper. I am never chasing what is best. I look for improvements. My budgets would go broke always chasing for the best Pistol, Carbine, or Belt. To me it is about learning to use the tools to the best of your abilities. Most tools are much better than the users capabilities. I respect your reviews and glad we have differing opinions on occasion. It makes me think. Thanks for stepping forward and stepping out and doing your reviews.
Good question because it looks like the GBRS and the Ferro and very similar just one has circle cuts the other has square in the Tegris, I’m still leaning towards the Axl though after watching that video. I’m surprised you didn’t like this belt, wish you would’ve sent it to me
Who TF wears a battle belt outside their wetsuit?!?!? I don’t even think seals do that. Also seals end up wearing dry suits more often than wetsuits so they can wear their campus’s under their dry suit. They store the gun belt and other stuff in a dry bag with the rest of their clothing/gear and put it on AFTER they get out of the water!!
I don't think anyone does lol I just had to take that dumb comment and run with it. But this style of belt really makes no sense....particularly at the price point. It's just a lesson in how to gouge customers. -Walsh

A bit ridiculous lol even If it was for wet suits there are definitely more than 8 people that need it or may want it. I mean you have it and its not like you really "need" it but many may want it. There are 150 active Army divers 1,225 active Navy divers 128,000 certified PADI divers Oh and the 3 million registered divers just in the US alone that could use it. But the one thing I can assure you Is that this belt and its design has absolutely nothing to do with wetsuits...
I have this belt an absolutely love it. It’s the best belt I’ve owned. Does everything I need it to and then some. This review is pretty much out to shit on the belt from the first word out of your mouth. Almost like it’s a grasp at gaining some attention. But to each their own.
@@ThinLineDefenseCo Although I don't think he is commenting with the best interests, I have to argue in the GBRS belt's favour. I have owned half of the belt you mentioned here and it's no way near as bad as you stated; at least, if you look at the outer belt... The tegris actually permanently fixes some of the issues I have with nylon stretching out over time which is a minor gripe but definitely something worth paying the ridiculous premium for my personal needs. Sure, the AXL does that as well but I find it to be slightly less comfortable than the assaulter. If I were to design a perfect belt, I would have gone with CHLK's low profile velcro, GBRS's tegris implementation and AXL's price point and blue alpha's inner belt.
It helps when you put it on correctly… can’t bash something you don’t know how to use lol. I have a gbrs and in love with it, those guys have more experience than over half these guys on RUclips, and gbrs has a TON of experience tweaking other belts/gear to benefit them in the field. I love it and everything else I’ve gotten from them has been golden. Great solid belt than you can EDC/ADC comfortably and reliability.

Dnt wanna burst ur bubble. But if u keep up with GBRS u would knw tht they design all their kit from the suggestions of their audience. But u r untitled to ur opinion.
POV: you don’t actually know anything about a product, who it’s actually marketed to, IE not civilians. And do any research on why things are they way they are with a product. This is easily close to the best if not the best belt in the market for what it’s actually made for.
obviously not. I laughed just giving it away. whoever this is for, it isn't civilians. I use a G Code belt with an uncle miles inner belt. G code is very proprietary but I like their mounts. Molle pouches work ok. The uncle mikes inner belt is extremely rigid which I like but takes a lot of breaking in. Once broken in it's all an extremely solid platform.
One belt for you to check out man: Acelink Armor Tactical Belt. I really really like mine, cost vs what you get with it is very impressive.
Woo burn! But I gotta say your review seems pretty spot on. GBRS made some pretty questionable choices with this battle belt. Check out the Ciguera Battle Wagon. Now that is a quality super-well designed belt system. Absolutely love mine! 👍🏾
Not sure why you can't run your EDC on top of all the outer belt instead of having to put the clips inside the outer belt.
You can run it either way. Apologies if I didn't show this well. Regardless though, you got like 2 inches of belt all around and you look ridiculous.

Any chance for an Attack Pak Reaper belt review? Would also appreciate a review on how comfortable the gravity pouch is with a pack.

really good vid dude
The cobra buckle is most definitely being used in helo ops. Blue force gear makes a belt specifically designed to be help rated and they use a cobra buckle. So does every other company. Maybe the lanyard you clip in with needs to open under load. But I don't think all these companies would be using it if it wasn't allowed.
usscom doesn't allow the Cobra buckle. All the current authoritized belts are required to release under load... something a cobra can't do
so while it may be rated, it's kinda stupid if you're hanging and can't get out
-Walsh
Active duty here! Socom does authorize
And I usually make the videos to be ridiculous so it's at least mildly fun to look at belts all day haha so just enjoy and make your own smart decisions
just know I'm likely being ridiculous lol thanks for the comments and for watching!

@@nicktruesdell6825 Don't own one. Don't intend to own one. My point is two-faced nature of American pro-militaria consumerism.
Some units issue the ronin belt with the cobra buckle so it could be getting tested liked they say even though we all doubt it.
Absolutely spot on!

@@ThinLineDefenseCo
Just so you may better understand why they do the velcro system more intelligently.

I havn't. I need one of those. I have...concerns...about that though.
