Half Life 2 was one of the first games I played with my 3440x1440 ultrawide and it astonished me how well a game that old played on a modern system with an aspect ratio and resolution that no one at the time would have considered.
Are you guys using your brains? Why do u think that u see loading thing on your screen sometimes? Because, its loading another level, and the level that u just played gets deleted. If that loading system did not exist, half life 2 would get like 10 fps on the best gaming computer at the time. Use. Your. Brains.
@@hashvolting Loading screens are more for the CPU then the GPU. When it is loading it's pulling from secondary memory to primary memory, this is why with faster secondary memory like NVME, there is very short loading screens. Also, the GPU renders things in real time or near real time. A GPU does not get any advantage of a loading screen as long as the CPU is able to feed the GPU the assets fast enough and does not have assets loaded into GPU memory during a loading screen. The CPU also still has to do calculations like physics (which is important with Half Life Games) real time because they are based on user actions. I'm not sure what magic bullet you think Loading Screens are but they are only there to get assets into the primary memory like RAM. Everything else is done near real time and if the assets and code are not well optimized, a game will still play terribly.
@@hashvolting If you're gonna attempt to insult my intelligence you should at least do it in a comment that disproves me. Idiot. Everyone knows about loading screens and what they do. It's called loading for a reason. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. You're trying to make it seem like new games don't load new terrain and just have it constantly loaded 24/7. Newer games use a different method of loading. They take the area around you and keep all the highest resolution textures and models loaded in, while using lower poly/resolution textures/models for further away areas which barely uses any resources. The same effect is achieved. The difference is, while standing still in a game that looks no better than Half Life 2, you're gonna get way worse frames than you did in Half Life 2 while standing still. (I say standing still because that means you aren't loading in or unloading any textures or models) Use. Your. Brain. And. Only. Insult. My. Intelligence. If. You're. Going. To. Disprove. Me.
@@Quint_69 thank u for telling me information that i knew. Im going to insult you because u asked a very obvious question. "Why games cannot be optimized like half life 2?" do not expect games that are newer and that look better than half life 2 to run like half life 2.

I suppose you could salute nVidia for their driver and software support there as well. Something AMD have improved on but still aren't on par with AMD on.
I have a gtx 1650 :D
I love it so much
I’m preety sure the 1650 super is way better value for the money at that budget
yeah me too. the reason i bought it is cuz it doesn't need external power unlike the 1650 super.
overall i really love it!
Even a GT 710 can server a purpose. Enjoy your graphics card. 👍
Dawid Does Tech Stuff ywah man! Thanks 😊
Zyad Medhat same!!!
Did you activate V-Sync in Crysis game? When it's activated you should get full-frames not out of sync half-frames (from what i know).
If my laptop pc manages 25fps @ 720p low settings then I'm happy.
Yo make a vid if the 1650 is enough for 144hz and show what it takes to achieve 144
5:42 I thought that that's a screen shot but dawid summoned in lol ^_^
finally. something about my precious 1650
I like how the card doesnt even have all the pins on the PCI-E slot
Cute card
My itx r7 360 (not my main card) looks like the pins have been randomly scraped off yet works fine
I need to see the gt 710 brought to its knees now
Just start it up and it's already bottlenecked
NEVER play GTA San Andreas with Frame Limiter OFF, there's a sh*t ton of glitches!!!!
i played with fps limiter on
Correction, never play gta sa at more then 60 fps.
Great video , btw can you link me that wallpaper you're using on your monitor?
This was not pointless Dawid. Wait yes it was.
Hahaha!! Is it straddling the line between having a point? 😁
You can notice jaggies in 4K?
Are you sitting 10cm away from the monitor?
A question I’ve always had is the comparison between the RTX line of 2060-70-80, with s variants, to 1080 ti 1660 and other nvidia cards. I personally have a 2060 super card and can run any game I want at max settings. The only game that ever takes a toll is Call of Duty Modern-warfare with ray tracing on.
G'day Dawid,
9:10 I have seen Single Digit FPS before but that is the first time I have seen 0 FPS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 "This is the kind of Bringing the Graphics Card to it's Knees I was hoping for" I totally Agree
Me on my 768p - Which jaggies you talkin bout?
The jaggies youre referring to is known as aliasing, by bumping up the res you are using super sampling antialiasing
Why can't all modern games be as optimized as half life 2.
(I say standing still because that means you aren't loading in or unloading any textures or models)
Use. Your. Brain. And. Only. Insult. My. Intelligence. If. You're. Going. To. Disprove. Me.
@@Quint_69 thank u for telling me information that i knew.
Im going to insult you because u asked a very obvious question.
"Why games cannot be optimized like half life 2?"
do not expect games that are newer and that look better than half life 2 to run like half life 2.
4:08 The power of "thidy" gives it some extra fps boost
As a 1650 owner, I can confirm that the card can run games better than my Xbox One.
Most of the time...
Gtx 1650 low profile gddr6 ram is way more powerful than a xbox1 even an xbox1s i play games at 4k medium settings 40 to 60 fps gta5 skyrim fallout cod warzone fortnight pubg and a lot others run at 4k with this card
@@adounz2000 I already bought my gddr5 1650. I know the gddr6 version is more powerful, but I don't think it's worth upgrading yet.
11:27 GODDAMN, HE'S HAVING MORE FUN MAKING THIS VIDEO THAN A 8 yo WHOSE DAD RETURNED FROM THE GROCERY STORE AFTER 5 YEARS
Love your videos mate, you're hilarious! Keep up the awesome work! 😊🤩💪👋💯
When ever i see this graphics card I get happy it’s just so cute!
