Hi! I have a question, and I'm confused why I cannot find an answer anywhere, not even on the mod's official page. How does one get a hold of a Lightroom block for the Exposure mod in survival mode? Is it even possible to craft it? Great video btw! And thanks in advance
Hey thanks for that! The lightroom block can be crafted like a crafting table (four wood planks) but with a lantern on the top left and a redstone torch on the top middle! Hope this helps
Great video! Just got distant horizons running earlier today but I can't seem to figure out how to implement the ambient sounds mod you showed in the vid :(
Thank you so much! The ambient sounds are coming from both the mod Dynamic Surroundings and AmbientSounds. Just install it like how you install every other mod and it should work!
@@NexusBliss Got it going today thanks for the confirmation that it works! New to minecraft mods so I had to do a bit of research into fabric and how these mods tools work. Thanks again!
hey bliss I'm a fan of you, have a question i have been trying to play distant horizons with the same mods as you use or recommend. everyone is saying I need a new pc and I'm asking you because your game runs smooth with horizons what would be an affordable pc to run horizons?
Hey thank you so much! As for the pc, I think running distant horizon and Minecraft in general is mostly based on the CPU instead of the GPU which is why I recommend a CPU about like a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU! and for the GPU, a GTX 1650 would be more than enough! Unless you would like to play other games of course. and ofc at least 16gb of ram. All of this including the psu, ssd and so on would probably cost you below $500-$600! Good luck!
When installing the Distant Horizon mod, can you immediately play and have everything appear as shown in the video, or is it necessary to load chunks first by walking or using a chunky mod to process chunks within a certain radius? For me, I need to run chunky first: set chunky center, chunky radius to 1000, chunky start, wait for 10 minutes at 100% CPU usage, and then it look like the video.
You can use a chunk preloader as you mentioned but you'll need quite a good cpu for that. So yes, you'll need to load the chunks in first cus the mod doesn't load the chunks for the game. It just keeps it there but at a lower quality hence making the infinite render distance effect
Add ballroom ships and drive an airship over the mountains. Or add eureka ships and drive around a big pirate ship. I’d like to see how well they work together!
I made fabric mod pack calling it Distant Horizons (Optimized) and i gave it various mods to optimize it which really works well so you should use it too
what is your GPU? you might be surpised because Distant horizons use LODs i actually triple my FPS by turning my real render distance to 6 and then Distant horizons to 120 render distance (LODs are way less intense for a computer to run)
It doesn't take that long for my chunks to render actually. Maybe you could use mods like chunky to pre render the chunks near you or try flying around with an elytra to manually load the chunks as well. Maybe that could help!
I'm having a rather annoying issue with DH and was hoping you could help me. LOD chunks are so bright they almost seem to glow at night. is there any way to fix this?
I've never had that problem before so I can't tell you how to fix that but if you haven't try it already, maybe you could try using different shaders or play around with your lighting settings. That's what I could think of at least
@@maxknolliyou gotta be doing something wrong, I am running on 2060 and getting 60fps with 8 render distance and 160 LOD render and shaders. It takes forever like literally an hour to load all LODs first time though. Idk my cpu but it’s not great. Make sure to use all optimization mods and check out nvidium for even better fps
I might make a short for that but for an instant answer, just install it through the iris shaders installer. There's a tick box to install distant horizon and all you have to do is tick that box! Here's the link: www.irisshaders.dev/download
Hey! Great video! I am currently trying to downgrade minecraft to 1.20.1 to play with the "immersive aircraft" mod, but I can't get it to work, game is crashing, or stuff like that. Can you send me a Drive/We transfer link with yor mod folder? I just want to fly arounf with distant horizon ^^
Here I uploaded the mod folder I used for this video (not complete) but includes immersive aircraft and distant horizon onto google drive. Hope this could help drive.google.com/drive/folders/12o8gd4YQAPqKMlqWtUXNBRKNjEas4zmP?usp=sharing
It would be a good idea for me to make a modpack but the current distant horizon is not released to the public yet so I feel like it isn't right to be releasing it like that. Just make sure you download it from the Iris Installer and select the version you want. Then it should work!
Sir I have a i7 12k h and a 40 series gpu with 16 GB ddr5 but distance horizon gives only 20 - 30 fps while seus ptgi on 2k 32 chunks gives 90 is something wrong with the gpu or the mod can you please help 😢
you should perfectly be able to to run this, I have a rtx3060ti and ryzen 5 5600x and 16gb of ddr4 and i get around 60fps stable. So the first thing you should check is ram usage, you may have good ram but it might not in use. to check it go to minecraft installer, click instalations and three dots, edit, jvm arguments and edit from 2gb (default) to 6-8 gb. After that watch a performance mod video for your mod installer of your choice, (fabric, forge, neoforge...)
@aarn4676 thanks it is now some what solved and I m getting around 100-120 fps with bliss and seus , but it is still little less than vanilla performance with sodium and iris btw I have a 4060ti so can it be some driver issue and I have bought this laptop last week

It surprisingly doesn't require that great of a pc to run. Just make sure you turn the LOD down and try it out! It's worth a try haha

You should try the mod "Do a barrel roll" with distant horizons
Oh yeah I wanted to add that but since I added the immersive aircraft mod for traveling, I figured not to
if it takes you a while to load the chunks use the chunky mod it really helps with loading distant horizons world
type /chunky in game
I actually did use that mod, and it does help!

ehm which graphic card do you use in order to run distant horizons tectonic and shader. I think my PC is too old for this lol xD
I use the 3060-ti but I'm pretty sure lower tier graphic cards can run it just fine! just turn down the lod settings on distant horizon

why bliss shaders dont work with DH for me?
