The only part of this song i really want to learn is the intro. Thats a must for me. Lane killed it live when i seen them 16 years ago.
I'm all about the acoustic intro too. RIP Janie Lane
Mike Slamer killed it on this track! Heck of a guitarist👊🏻
Man this song never gets old. My favorite warrant song. Can't believe this video is 7 years ago lol. But just saw a live version from the house of blues 2009 of this song. And said to myself, I'm gonna look a video like this up to learn it lol. Usually learn shit by ear, but damn glad I clicked on this. Thank you
Hey thanks for the support 👍
@@rockingguitarlessons no need to thank me. I'm thanking you. Awesome video.
9:30-9:50 tells alot about you as a Teacher and Instructor. Theses little things hold deep defenition. Thanks dude for all your help, know I can always head your way when I need to Learn or have a problem!!!!!
Dude i remember those days also. Heres something nice for you. it's september and it is my feeling you are one of the very best teachers out there. You give a lot of extras that go unrealize at the time to help us be ready for that time to come. the big problem is if you learn the rite way you never get that Hey! moment when the time comes. lol if that makes any sence
WOW THANKS SO MUCH MAN.
Who is here in 2019 and still loving this video??
meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
It's been almost ANOTHER year bro. Are you STILL witt me???
@@rockingguitarlessons I am!
@@rockingguitarlessonsme, too Dude!!
Me too ;)
Love your channel. I'm in an 80's band and your channel has been awesome for getting the main riffs of songs down. Good stuff!
AWESOME THAT'S WHAT I LOVE TO HEAR
Man I have been gettin into this song lately and I watched and learned these parts with this video. Could you maybe finish it at some point? Im not the best player so I can only figure some things out on my own. It's a great song!
Awesome guitar teacher!!🤘🏽🍻
THANKS SO MUCH
I'd love to be able to play as good as you , but the best that I can do is muddle my way through the songs . I must say brother you ROCK!!!
keep fightin bro
Great lesson 👍. I was thinking, his guitar is out a bit, haha.
That guitar tone is beastly. I never got into warrant back in the day, but this song F ing Rocks!!
Thank you for the tutilidge. Stay safe out there my friend 😉
Hey man thanks for the support 👍
Hi Mike, first thanks for all the videos you post and all the work that it represents. I allow myself to make a small correction on the first notes you give. It's very subtle to hear but the progression of the beginning is A0 - D2 -G0 / A3 - D0 (not D2) - G0 and so on ... playing alternatively the Root E (D2) and the minor 7th D (D0) gives a cool melodic effect so important in the compositions of Warrant. .... with Respect ...
I still have a roland ready GK strat hangin on the ole guitar wall. 80's Stratastic fantastica!
sweeeeet
Intro lick has got a riff lick rip off "Photograph...I don't want your..Photograph". chorus riff in "The Deliverance" kind of feel.
God damn i love his tone! It's massive and heavy
My favorite song from them
Oh my gtr tone??? Hey thanks again it's all mesa boogie dual rectifier
Hey Mike, I was just looking for a tutorial with that cool intro from 'Sometimes she cries' originally played by Mike Slamer on 'Dirty Rotten...' and now, hours later, yt recommended your video. Man, the memories came rushing back as I had spent a lot of hours with your lessons back in 2013 and 2014. I remember this video like it was yesterday. I am a die-hard Motley Crue fan so I had really been into your renditions of their stuff, and I remember how I enjoyed your 'Dancing on glass' turorial. Mick Mars is my top 5 fav guitarist and 'Dancing on glass' is so important to me as I had been battling an addiction at that time that almost killed me in 2016. Anyway, if you are reading this I just wanna say thank you and I respect the hell out of you for what you had been doing out there. I hope you are doing fine and God bless bud.
Dominik from Poland 🇵🇱.
wow thank you for the support.youre a RGL VIP..haha KEEP ROCKIN my friend

VERY VERY WELCOME
Mike Gross, you are my hero !!!
;)
Always wanted to learn this song....thank you!
VERY WELCOME
This lesson rocked! Great job!
THANKS DAVE
this song is a must learn for me. i know warrant from the song down boys and big talk
"Big Talk" is STILL way up there on list!
A video on setting up amps, pedals for killer 70s, 80s tones would be great
AGREED
I've always loved the metal part when it kicks in, too..🤘😅🤘 nice contrast in the song.Warrant and poor Jani Lane were a standout to me then, and I still feel sad for Jani. Rock on.. 🤘
Thanks for the lesson, awesome song by warrant, i would like to see how to play the aqustic part.
Your channel's my new fave! I know you get TONS of requests, but I just have to throw another one your way since you nailed "One Thing Leads To Another" and this one's in that same vein. Could you do a lesson on Young MC's catchy "Bust A Move" guitar riff that he "sampled" from Ballin' Jack's "Found A Child"? It's such a funky little riff and another where if you learn that riff, you've basically got the whole song. All you need after that is to ask Flea from the RHCP's to do his thang!
I hear George Lynch. And I am pleased.
Thanks , this helped me get it!, love this song!
Awesome to hear 👍
Dude thanks for the help you rock !
YOU ROCK
Hey Mike i was wondering can you do a video on Megadeths Crush'em please ?
Hey Mike, been subscribed to you for awhile now and love your lessons and your joke/joking around.. I would like to make a request for "I saw red" by Warrant. Ive searched youtube and there is no tutorial for I saw red at all.
Anyways, thank you for everthing!
Thx Mike awesome video
MIKE GROSS IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME !!

Yeeeee Hawwwww where's the banjo :-) Love this song Thanks so much!!!

Keep at it bro. It'll happen
Cool riffs, cools lead, good lesson

Mike Slamer in the studio for Warrant was a wise choice.

wouldn;t it have been nice to have youttube instead of trying to figure it out listening to the vinyl spin..or rewinding the cassette over and over to learn it!
Can you do the solo to cherry pie? No good videos on it that I can find
Is this tuned in drop d
Your sound is incredible. What do you use besides the Rectifier?

Sounds like 'run to you' by Bryan Adams, the first chords anyway.
Definitely similar.
Did you know the beginning accoustic Jani Lanes brother wrote?
And performed, no?
your an awesome player
THANKS ALEX
Bad ass song
ONE OF THEIR BEST
Enjoyed this!! Thanks!!
Very welcome
Golden Earring, dude.

Can someone please tell me what kind of guitar he is using?
PARKER FLY
@@rockingguitarlessons Thank you so much!
He didn't see me and Tom in the tree, neither one believing what the other could see. Tossed in the bodies let em sink on down to the bottom of the well where they'll never be found
men, you rock!
Could you do Twilight Zone by the golden Earrings?
man i love them 80s hair bands i think there better than the bands of my generation i also like thrash and death metal and some norwegion black metal i noticed you did a black metal song ie cradle of filth not a bad band. i favorited this vid but got no requests. nice work on babylons burning thought love machine would be the only song youd teach will look into it too.
Well done dude. Thnks.
I still have my gr3 roland,sik lil tool,lol
Nice
I DIDNT KNOW THEY WERE THAT OLD OF A BAND DUDE
Thank you for this tutorial!!! And i love the frickin hair, so 2000s \(^_^)/
HAHA RIGHT ON
Im 16 and i know bout all of the bands. Thanks to mah dad ;D
Sorry forgot it changed. It use to be golden Earrings but they removed the "S" back in 68' or 69'.
do dangerous toys feels like a hammer
It's a real banjo. Jani Lane's brother played it in the studio.
The intro its a guitar not a banjo
@@mottosierra1372 wrong
@@davidfair5719 if you don’t know the difference between a banjo and a acoustic guitar you should find something else to do instead of playing an instrument
@@davidfair5719 the banjo start later and was played by the producer Beau Hill
YES!!!!!!
FUCK YEAH BRO BAD ASS
been trying to get the banjo part down....i just dont have the chops
I think he used a Roland guitar synth for that.
+mike gross oh sorry, meant the beginning, the bluesy part.
Crotch Knocker X funny that they use a banjo in the video for aesthetic effect.
mike slamer plays lead guitar on that album
Except on Cherry pie, that was C.C. Deville's work.
Yah, Mike Slamer had some class leads on that album
THATS why I could not find it!!
Yep. Was '69. Before that, they were The Tornados. No worries.
If he likes RED BULL then i like red bull. C'mon RED BULL it's a win, win for all of us. Besides won't it be fun to actually throw a Monster in the dumster together? I know i would enjoy it.
parker fly
your tone is heavy ........ rock on
SWEEEET. ALL BOOGIE BRO
