Amazing video and love the conscious effort to make ‘Wizardboarding’ a thing. Sold!
Thanks so much brother! Let's all Wizardboard some slopes!
Love your videos, I'm an old blader and never been on snow till this year.... And was very fun, but I gotta know how to stop! So different stopping on skiboards... I'm still learning
I would be happy to offer stopping tutorials. I'll get working on one in the upcoming month or so!
Great comparison! Love the video transitions.
Thanks man! It was fun putting those together
Great video and explanation. Spot on! switched to skiboards about 10 years ago, will never go back to regular skis. Way too much fun.... (Summit 110's for me)
Thank you!! They are unbelievably fun. How are the 110's, by the way?
@@CamGoodTimes I'm from the north east and only ride up in the area... i've been with the 110 customs and I have a set of 110 custom carbon pros. I love them... GREAT all around mountain boards and I beat the piss out of them and they keep asking for me. Great for speed, park and off trail.
@@lylesaltzman3123 that’s great! These Summits can really take a beating.
Great episode, I'm sold on trying some. I wonder if you can load up the tips and tails like skis for butters ect. Great stuff Cam!
Thanks dude! You definitely can on these, and that is what I am going to be working on next. Check out this video showing all kinds of buttery goodness: ruclips.net/video/ZNFt-LOBfyQ/видео.html
100% can
those look cool man ! way to stay active during the winter. sure miss blading
Thanks Greg! It's really been a difficult winter for blading so far. You are welcome to come try these with me sometime! I have another pair you could use.
Awesome. So much like skating on snow.
100% agree. Absolutely loving these Summit GroovN boards!
Have you tried any size longer than 105s? I rented some 96 cm ski boards last week and had fun, but feel like I need longer to handle more all-terrain and heavy powder since I’m in Utah.
I have! I would recommend the GroovN 106cm or the Invertigo 118cm for Utah pow. Both do excellent in powder due to their rockering/early rise design.
@@CamGoodTimes Sweet! The Invertigo 118s look sick. I'm liking what I read abou them. Do you think the Rocker/Camber would be better than the Twin Tip? I'm also liking the Marauder 125cm Twin Tip or do you think it would be too long for parks & moguls?
@@TimKirkpatrick79 Sure thing! They all are essentially twin tip- the Invertigo is a nice rocker/camber combo, whereas other models such as the Marauder has mostly camber. The rocker/camber absolutely works best in powder overall though.
I have seen people do amazing things on the Marauders in all conditions. They are a great skiboard for most anything you want to do with them- plenty fast, playful, and a little less maneuverable than the shorter skiboards.
@@CamGoodTimes thank you. That makes a difference for which I choose for sure.
Could you put skins on these? XD
I heard that there are touring versions of these (a bit wider and longer), and so I imagine so! 😁
@@CamGoodTimes awesome, I want to start training during winter, I'm a runner. so going uphill and then ski down. I can ride rollerblades so i thought these might be easier to learn to ski down!
@@nolandecreton3325 no doubt man! That's an excellent idea to use these that way.
@@CamGoodTimes do you have any idea where I could find these skiboards for touring? I have searched but there isn't a lot of info in general about skiboarding.
@@nolandecreton3325 check out "Summit" skiboards at skiboards.com
You can even call them up and talk to the owner "Doc," and he'll hook you up.
frankly not too much, skis are much more similar to ice skates especially hockey stop
I agree that the edging is more similar to ice skates when it comes to hockey stops (shallow carve as opposed to a deep carve with blades). However, they still felt quite similar in the ways I described in the video. The main point is if you are a blader, you will likely find much enjoyment and ease of learning on skiboards.
