Loved this. Reminds me of when I connected with my sister that I never met until my adult years. 🙂🎺🎶🫶📚📝🏈

I can understand the feelings of these people, but what a slap in the face to the people who adopted him, who - I assume - did so with good intentions to embrace him as their own child.

You have such a dense look on life if you actually believe this. It isn’t a competition. The only person who feelings truly ever mattered in this situation is the boy that was adopted. You think he should have to “pick a family” for the rest of his life? You already look grown which is why it’s said that someone needs to tell you to grow up.

@ItsjustMollyyy I knew I'd get a simple-minded reply like yours. I've worked in foster care/adoptions, and I've seen the heartbreak of adoptive parents whose children can't wait to discard them to find their "real" families upon age 18. Nothing in this video reports that the man is bonded to or appreciative of the adoptive family who sought to care for & love him. Maybe he is, but the video implies he apparently feels he's only now feeling like he finally has loved ones and a "family." I acknowledged understanding his feelings of longing to know his birth family and his birth family's interest in connecting with him. I'm stating that the adoptive parents have feelings too, and in my opinion, deserve respect and consideration.

@tube_trance We don't know how he handled this with his adoptive parents. He is clearly well over 18, so it doesn't appear that he ungratefully discarded them as soon as he became an adult. We don't know if they are still alive, even. Hopefully he treated them with respect and kindness throughout this critically important process of self-discovery. Adoptions are emotionally complex for all parties.
