Great review !! Chauvet DJ Lights are outstanding quality & affordable. I will be throwing myself into the ILS range so I can concentrate on my performance while letting the Lights do amazing stuff around me.
God Bless! About time Chauvet came out with a better gig bar case! This is the case that should have come with the gig bar to begin with! As much as it costs, my gig bar cases were destroyed within 3 months!
The zip went wing on mine either a month , a bit cloth that keeps the case from opening all way up got caught and that was it ruined so I bought a hard case for it and best thing I bought , made just for the gig bar , whells On it aswell
The first time I used the gigbar ils when it was released I said it needed a standalone lcd screen controller Months later chauvet done awesome I definitely need one Any ideas release dates in the UK This is a game changer for ils big time
I have 2 ILS Intimidators and just got the ILS Command. Spent 2 days trying to get them to work together, their manual blows! Finally called a Chauvet Pro Tech worked with him on the phone for 30mins or so. He told me it must be the cord. Nope, had to press Reset on both lights(not factory set) like the Tech told me. Then set them both to ILS mode and everything came together. This controller is so new the Pro Techs at Chauvet aren't really that familiar with them. I talked to 2 of them, neither had an answer for me...
Mr Cleveland ….. Does it send out 2.4 hz wireless signal… for any other brand? Or only dedicated for only Chauvet fixtures? I’m trying little by little to get ILS fixtures. This is awesome!
I love the concept just wish it controlled non ils fixtures but i can understand why chauvet wouldnt want to allow its controller to be used in non chauvet lights. That said i do think chauvet should find a way to retro fit its non ils lights
It's a bummer they're not compatible with the older gigbar moves. I have the old one, and soundswitch, but it seems like I'd have to completely rebuild with the Ils setups
recently got the gigbar move w ILS becuase i was under the impression that was needed to run any ILS lighting. Now im torn....since it sounds like i can get this control device for a few hundred $ and build my own show with individual light fixtures that are ILS. So i am considering returning the gigbar while i still can getting this control device and building my own rig thoughts???
Why not keep them both? The ILS COMMAND will control the GBM+ILS. Keep the ILS COmmand next to you, and set the GBM+ILS somewhere else and you'll be able to control it wirelessly.
You can program 6 different scenes and call them up any time or have all of them run one after the other. The follow spot feature is pretty cool also..
@@ClevelandTerry guessing you don't have a Telegram account and someone is spoofing you, got a message thru YT directing me to your Telegram but using words I don't think you'd use lol
@@DjTecniq yes we all hate that! I ordered the controller when it first came out and hoping when it arrives I'll be able to manipulate the mover speed while in auto programs/sound active mode.
What that guy just doesn’t seem to get is that the DMX programming required to exceed what ILS is designed to do is going to be graduate-level programming.
@@ClevelandTerry I've been trying to figure out if it's transmitting full program information or if it's recalling it from the individual ILS enabled units itself and the control unit is just signaling to the ILS fixtures to run the corresponding stored programs. In which case it might be kind of hard to pull off, but they could let you load in new presets ahead of time wirelessly if that's the case. Though I'm certain this would require a firmware update, but theoretically possible. Here's hoping.
If I have the control one and gigbar move without ils, and I want to take it to the next level, is it worth going the ils route? My concern is that the command wouldn't control the OG gigbar so it's not synced. I haven't gone super deep with soundswitch, it seems like a lot of fiddly work, but I imagine it can map both. Can the Ils command do a similar job without much work? I guess you'd just run dmx or control one for the older move.
Thank You Cleveland! I can't believe I'm this excited about a hard case 🔊
I'm just here for the hard case for my Gig Bar 2!! Thank God they finally made one!!🎉

Any integrations with DJ software or CDJs?
Pro DJ Link?
MIDI clock sync?
Ableton Link?
So with this I can control ILS lights without need for gig bar move ILS? I could just get 2 swarm ILS and this box?
yes, exactly

Just did a bit of snooping for those of you that are interested. It looks like the hard cases are going for $249.99 at most retailers as of now
I just did a wedding and used the remote control , I highly recommend using the ils command i just got it a couple days ago and it’s night and day.
We have one. I can't get the ILS spot 160 to connect wirelessly. But the command center is dope!

Difi only. But you have a dedicated dmx port so you can connect that and control manually
@@ClevelandTerry oh ok got it.. I have DMX wireless dongle. I’ll try that…. In June. 😄 thank you Mr Cleveland.
Not if they're aren't ILS compatible
Thx Cleveland, great video !!!
Will this control the chauvet freedom quad par wireless uplights and the gig bar ils at the same time?
no sir
Does the command know what type of fixture is being added??
that's part of the setup. You jump into settings and turn on/off the moving heads/the pars/the lasers/the strobes and the derbys
Can this be used with dfi dongles and a normal non ils spot 360?
It will do dmx and difi. Since I haven’t used it yet I don’t know how granular it will get.

You can get d - Fi xlr receiver
I think Soundswitch is better What you think?
thats DMX. That is kind of the point, is doing something similar but wireless

Word is this Paris' 1st appearance in a Cleveland Terry vid??
It might be. 😂
Can it be daisychain to a non chauvet LIS light..?
Through dmx yes
@@ClevelandTerry so you could use DMX and ILS at the same time. Cant wait to test
no, it will work with ILS-enabled fixtures only. It will not control any fixture via DMX.
Hi can this control the wash fx hex ,thanks
no it can't

Prism and rotation features are the basics features of the lights and it should be included I. ILS controller! Skipping them is simply not acceptable.
I have a review coming soon.
Sold! Sweet new tech and $299 for real.
That DJI mic setup sounds great also.
*All this is manual control, is it only for me to see that it's all so primitive?*

Hopefully thier light controller tames them wild fast movers!
Agreed
You can control the speed of the movers from the button at the top.
@@ClevelandTerry guessing you don't have a Telegram account and someone is spoofing you, got a message thru YT directing me to your Telegram but using words I don't think you'd use lol
My issue is sound active mode you can’t modify the speed of the movers. I updated the firmware and still can’t figure it out.
@@DjTecniq yes we all hate that! I ordered the controller when it first came out and hoping when it arrives I'll be able to manipulate the mover speed while in auto programs/sound active mode.
Does this only control ILS lighting
yes

What guy?
Nice
The last thing I want to see from this version of the system is the ability to swap in new auto programs.
Seems like a reasonable request

@Phatcat09 Might as well use a DMX controller then.
@@reissallan that would require programming it myself and adding complexity that isn't necessary.
This isn't a huge ask and fits a use case.
ILS Command vs Control One
They are not really the same. Different jobs

As crappy as the case is they should give gig bar owners for free
By your logic, if your car breaks, the car manufacturer owes you new tires. Crazy Bruh! :P
