- Picture in picture for RUclips app on iPhone is finally here, iPhone users can finally use Picture in Picture on the RUclips app on their iOS devices.
RUclips PiP is finally here for iPhone even though it has some limitations, in this video you can learn more about the RUclips Picture in Picture feature and everything you need to get it working.

Premium user here, had this feature since it came as experimental... now when it comes available for everyone, the feature simply disappeared for me! Thanks RUclips!

YT PiP is quite rare for me on iOS, it happens about 5% of the time and that’s only if I’m lucky. Your guide is helpful but I’m not a Premium user, which makes me question why I rarely got PiP while other services like say Netflix have it automatic.

There are very rare chances where PiP just happens out of nowhere
It only happens on some videos, you just have to test it.
Just swipe from bottom to top and hold on for a few seconds, then PiP can function. Just tried it several times and for one video I watched recently it functions all the time I try.

I had this feature randomly for a long ass time. Now just randomly I don’t. I don’t even have the option. Fml.

I have updated and have all the settings on but cannot actually control it. I only found out I had the feature when it randomly activated once when I exited the app, but after that I can’t reproduce it myself. It only happens at random for me.

I still didn’t get it. For two days I had only the message that says that the music content can’t be played. And then it just disappeared and I don’t have the option anymore. I also don’t have the option in settings. I am a premium user from Israel so I should be able to play in picture in picture mode.

I have and iPhone 11 I have everything enabled but I can’t see the pip in the general setting on RUclips
I’ve been having this for a whole month now and I love it however I’m not sure if it’s just me but there’s some moments were it stops working no matter what video I play and I even make sure it’s not a music one and it still won’t work and yes I have picture mode active on both the app here and on General on my phone but sometimes it will work like literally the next day or hours later and sometimes it doesn’t like for this video it didn’t work now but I’m sure if I watch it again later it will work on it~ I wanted to know if people has had this problem before

In my general settings on my RUclips app the Picture in Picture option doesn’t show up as an option at all but it’s on in my phone settings though how can I get it to show up on my RUclips app?

As someone who is coming from Android the fact that PIP and split screen doesn't work on IOS in 2023 is the most frustrating thing.
As many others have said…I have the latest versions but no Picture in Picture switch. There was no fix available via a google search. Someone commented it’s a RUclips issue, so we wait….

I have premium and the option for Picture in Picture just isn’t there and I have the most recent ios and recent yt update I’m guessing it’s just a bug

I have an iPhone 13 pro running iOS 15 and 17.26.2 and this feature is definitely not available yet. In iPhone settings it’s enabled but in the RUclips app, picture in picture is not an available toggle.

I found somewhat a solution for all of us that don’t even have the PIP toggle in settings. Turn on incognito mode and it will work. Kind of annoying that we have to do that for now but it work. And yes I have RUclips Premium, PIP worked for me forever until they decided to remove the feature a few months ago

So pip works on one of my RUclips accounts except for my creator account (this one I’m on now). Every time i switch between accounts i go to settings to see if pip is avalible and for this accout pip shows up as an option but as soon as i exit out of settings it removes pip from my settings! What could this mean?

The disappointing thing is that the picture in picture can’t display captions, for me I don’t like to blast full volume to hear the video so I use auto generated or provided captions. I love the PiP but I don’t love how it doesn’t display captions.
I live in Canada on iOS 15.7 and it worked a few days ago now it’s completely gone and removed from YT settings
Got it last night and was so happy. Switched from Android to IOS in April and was used to it. Had it for the first month then they took it away

This is my main account that I use for RUclips and pip doesn’t work, if I sign out or use any other account it works. Not sure what’s the problem

So glad this vid came along. I had PIP as a trial because I pay for RUclips Premium and get to try new features. Now it hasn’t been working for a while. I’ve searched everything but can’t find where to turn it on. In Australia here with an iPhone 12ProMax, got PIP turned on in the settings as mentioned in this vid. Gggrrr, it was so handy now it’s been taken away 😢.

Don’t be fooled. If you live outside the USA it’s not going to work. I live in Canada went to us on vacation and was surprised to P-I-P actually work only to get back home and it doesn’t. The fact of it is that they could enable this feature worldwide but they haven’t bothered to do so for the sake of profit.

It seems its working on select accounts. On my main account (This one) But on other accounts it works. One other thing I noticed is in the RUclips settings the Picture in Picture switch is only on those other accounts.

I deleted the app then reinstalled and the option popped up. It’s enabled but PIP still doesn’t work.

I should have kept my f’ing android. Never had problems and pip was so simple. Only switched bcuz every family member uses iPhones and I wanted to be able to see videos they send me. iPhone 13 pro doesn’t even come with charger and now this nonsense. I don’t have pip option in RUclips and I’m premium. What a joke.

Author, you can delete this video - it no longer works for anyone, stateside or otherwise. I know dozens of people who have tried to enable this, but the PiP setting in RUclips is not available, even on the latest version, even after deleting and re-installing.

I was wondering why doesn’t it work sometimes for my videos. Now it makes sense, they can’t be music videos!!
I think it only works for movies/videos on RUclips rather than music (with cover photos as video).
pro tip: have your video playing, press the arrow located on the upper left, and once you have the miniplayer, swipe up from the "white bar" and you have a pip.
(Must have PIP on.)
