      @@salumtummundi9462 Same process? The video presented different solution methods for different equations, rather than presenting a unified method that works algorithmically and systematically for all equations, and it did not explain why these processes work.

      @@salumtummundi9462 Also, many of these are polynomial equations, not rational equations. By definition, a rational equation has to have non-constant polynomials in at least one denominator. Polynomial equations are obviously easy to solve, but those are not the ones people came here to get help for.

    When cross multiplication is needed, I observed that you always get to solve first the left side denominator up to yhe right side numerator but why is 4:30? You first solved left's numerator to the right's denominator?

      what i do is whenever i subtract a lower number with x the bigger number on the other side that doenst have an x subtracts or adds over to the side i just subtracted from. You can also do trial and error.

    At 1:4o how tf did u get the 4 under 1 and 4x?

      Nick Busmente when you multiply 40 to (x/10) think of it as 40 divided by 10, which gives you 4, then multiply by x. This gives you 4x. And then after you combine the like terms on the left side you get 1. Finally you isolate x by dividing both sides by 4, so 1/4 is 1/4 and 4x/4 is x; therefore, x=1/4
