I would say if you have a specific use case then yes it's worth it. It's a rather bulky setup, but the minimal lag makes it a decent alternative to a PC monitor for twitch based FPS, or for legacy hardware incapable of being remotely accessed like retro hardware and blurays. It is currently missing a brilliant but killer app: 3D modes for 3D blurays or 3D modes of consoles like PS3/360.
I Primarily using the flight simulator, could you create a virtual screen that’s as large as an 85-inch curved screen with a dark background?
How big the virtual screen can go, is it posible to get a curved one?
I believe you can curve it, and it can get huge. You can go into Meta Quest's "theater mode" which makes the screen uncomfortably big.
Awesome thanks for the presentation don’t write often
How is the compression and detail compared to a regular monitor?
Compression is minimal, no macroblocking, colors look fine, not sure what color space is being used, but it appears matched.
Is it worth it?
