Well, MalO has been rather... popular in the R34 sphere. So it's a hook for them to get more views. In the file, MalO is only referred to with male pronounce, so they absolutely know what they're doing.
We all knew how MalO would be drawn; let’s be real. The fact that she’s just a huge troll and gremlin of pranks just makes her a better friend to be around.
Dr. Bright is not allowed to make fan art of SCP-1471-A. Listen, Jack, we all understand there are certain people with certain tastes who are fond of the idea of an anthropomorphic wolf, but this is getting out of hand. We do not need to see this thing in a schoolgirl outfit with an ahegao expression, or in a skimpy cheerleader outfit, or posing for OnlyFans, or working at Starbucks in a revealing green apron with nothing underneath and saying "you want WHAT kind of milk?!" This all has to stop, Dr. Bright. Please. For 343's sake, please just stop.
That is likely one of the most devestating for secrecy. It actively moves around and teleportts at will seeking people to reveal itself but leaving almost all alive witnesses everywhere.
Out of every stalking type of scp Mal0 seems harmless and cute. A friend forever, and eventually you will get over how they appear anywhere that seeing them wouldnt scare you anymore
I think the main thing with Mal0 is just that it looks scary and just sort of follows you around and the problem is that a lot of people just can't handle that especially because Mallow is always in a reflection or at corner of your eye rather than being something you can look at and talk to with the added problem that it disappears when you try and look at it which kind of brake support your sanity. So I'm not really sure what I would have expected mal0 reaction to manifesting physically i would expect it would just continue following someone, maybe it could be convinced to play a game or something i don't know but it never really struck me as mischievous it just make sure that you'll never feel lonely again whether or not you feel abject terror is unrelated
with what I know malO is more than one entity and each one has a different personality and motives, that is why some see it with a female body and others with a male one, even some MaLO take longer to happen to appear to the naked eye and spend a longer time only in reflections Some even had a good life with their users and some don't want to show up as often. It seems that this one was just an asshole So possibly if the guy had tried the app before he could have found a malO who decided to be a good person, although he would surely prefer to visit the world than continue stuck with someone for the whole eternity
i have a question: so the Fine setting will marginally improve something when used, right? like its not a major change because thats what Very Fine is for, right? so my question is: what stops you from putting the product of a "Fine" upgrade back in on Fine again? could you keep getting small improvements one after the other until it spits out what you were hoping for? another question is: does the result have any known depending factors which change the output? for instance, if you put a cheap burner phone in on Fine, you probably get a name brand smart phone but will you always get the same brand and model number from the same model of burner phone? basically im asking if there is an element of "randomness" to the output and if so, is it affected by small things like time of day, room temp, or small changes in the condition of the phone such as scratches, defects, or just the amount of dust or other smudges when inserted into the machine?
I have my own theory about the nature of The Clockworks, my theory is that the clockworks are slightly sapient and can telepathically read the minds of those around it, this could explain why it seems to be so chaotic, creating a feedback loop between botched results and exasperated colleagues, and as such I propose that rather than putting something into it, we send out flyers to the entirety of the site that the clockworks are in encouraging everyone to think positively of the machine, and that it will give the result that the foundation wants
914 is sentient and far More intelligent than humans, its weakening foundation, personnel that Are not strong, and on one case janitor jacobys body was found in cleaning closet of site-19 It psychologically manipulate and read minds of personnel WHO uses it, and gave them item, that is suitable to them

There needs to be more comedic and lighthearted SCPs. There are a lot that are simply depressing, malicious (whether intentionally or unintentionally), and/or cause an existential crisis of some form.
I love how most people (from what I've looked into) skipped over the fact that someone in the foundation was a brony and attempted to use scp-137 to talk to Twlightsparkle in which could have gone horribly wrong on so many levels had no one denied the request
This scenario is without a doubt one of the better inconveniences that can occur at the foundation. It would be like having a child. Occasionally an irritant but for the most part harmless and tolerable
Funnily enough, that applies to Mal0 in general. They're usually socially awkward stalkers, which naturally causes the majority of people who download them to become increasingly (to oversimplify and condense it) distressed, which sadly results in cases of self induced and worse still self inflicted harm. The new ghost dog Pokemon Greavard vaguely reminds me of it, though it causes direct harm instead, albeit on an involuntary unintended level.
While I wouldnt mind being stalked by MalO, I know very well that they probably wouldn't look nearly as whimsical as they do in these SCP animated shorts
If I Knew what to expect, I imagine I'd relish the Oppertunity to Communicate with something so outside the norm. For me, It'd be a fresh perspective on a dull world. though if i was not expecting it. I'd probably soil myself when a large Creature with a skull for a head, and milky white eyes appeared in my home.
Pretty sure Mal0 isnt a furry, and more like a humanoid monster with dark fur and a canid skull being its only canine feature, pretty sure it doesnt have ears, a tail, and an hourglass figure.
To be fair, MalO is a rare friendly SCP by early tests, and they are possibly limitless. If MalO 1.0.0 can be interacted with, would an upgraded version become Thaumial in terms of usefulness?
I was expecting it to actually try to make friends, since that's what it's designed to do. A mischievous prankster was far from what the character probably would have been.
I think for the more apathetic people out there that still feel, feeling lonely, wouldn’t be so surprised by such an SCP appearing in real life before them. You could give them many horror movies and they may not even flinch or act at all. If one were insanely lonely and fairly apathetic, I could believe that they would find such an SCP being loose and following them around, nice. I certainly would, given sometimes things are boring and lonely from time to time.
I wouldn't describe myself as apathetic, just unflappable. I'm the kind of guy who tells you calmly that there is a fire upstairs and you should call the fire department and shut off the breakers (True story). The rest of what you said though is absolutely true, I wouldn't be likely to freak out if I saw Mal0.

I'm wondering about a friendly Mal0 on the Fine setting.. While Very Fine can mess with an scp and make it a little more sadistic, there are other possibilities. If Mal0 was put in the Fine setting, would it eventually be able to actively become physical around its host? They are sentient and friendly, a rare case in SCP's, and they are also unlimited. If they befriend and protect their host, they could be trained to be Thaumual class SCP's.
I can't remember 914 turning something sadistic that wasn't already before. Can you give examples? (Note, before you suggest them, make sure that they were written by the original author)
@@savvythedivineyethuggable7493 The most obvious one was 914's idea of a Very Fine human. While D-class are criminals, Dr. Gears is obviously not foolish enough to put in a D-class that is remorseless or psychopathic to make more powerful. Despite this, the D class was turned into a monster that killed many men mercilessly including non guards who weren't even trying to stop it. Even when monster was killed, its body exploded into dust and light, blinding everyone in the room with his body. So its safe to assume its very fine setting on intelligent creatures is risking creating something not only powerful but dangerous to all humans. Its not absolute proof, but its a safe bet. (Also, while many of the other test logs were not written by Dr. Gears, the original author Dr. Gears has given his seal of approval personally on many 914 tests over the past 14 years)

remember that this event occured as a result of the clockwork machine on very fine, so it's likely she became semi malicious as a result because of the combination between the anomalies.
The story is missing an important detail, as soon as you want to change an SCPs properties with another SCP you have to file for a SCP cross testing. And thanks to mostly Dr Brith the Foundation is very strict on those.
As a massive fan of 049, I just had to google what he said when Mal-O knocked over his tools. Am I the only one surprised that he actually swore? I mean, he's usually so polite and well spoken...

Correction to your post: Dear SCP Foundation. Stop trying to stick things where they don't belong. You have enough "situations" to handle without making more of them. Think hard before you stick ANYTHING into ANYTHING!
Aww don’t be like that to poor 1471. He’s just doing a bit of trolling and having the chance to stretch his legs in the physical realm is just the thing he needs for positive mood building.
I think it is fair, most of the times 914 on fine / very fine shows some crude sense of humour and try to surprise with creativity (as most theories say 914 is actually artistic by design), in this case, it actually gave what the doctor wanted but with a twist, it probably incrased the personality of MalO to the point it became not only friendly but mischivious. What it is an intelligent take by 914, if the app is designed to give company, incrasing its reality to the point instead of pictures it is real, increasing the people it could affect and forcing the person to notice them by applying pranks is a straight upgrade by 914 POV. Altough I think a more direct upgrade to friendliness would be helpfulness doesn't seem something 914 would do as it most of the times favors irony.
I don't like this interpretation of MalO, every instance of 1471 is simply an misunderstood stalker that just wants a friend, and most of those scares looks like they were just accidents and MalO didn't actually meant any harm... I know this instance of MalO must have been very excited to have a physical body but I doubt it would just start causing mischief to everyone it would encounter
To the channel's credit, we did use 914 to bring them to life. There is sure so be some sort of strange unpredictability when doing so. So if it twists Mal0 a bit, it would kinda be par for the course for the Clockworks.
Yeah but Mal0 would be more clingy than anything and the twist would be that it'd self replicate to befriend everyone who'd know about the app would make more sense.
@@DiggerDeeper01 Okay, fine, but it doesn't become so unpredictable that it switches the moral compass of whatever's in it. From when they put that *murderer* D-class into it, he transformed into a *murderous* monster. With a revolver, it still turned into a gun, or what you would use as a gun. I know that anomalies defy logic in general, but they still have some logic to them. They actually have a pattern. 173 stops moving when you look at it, 096 kills you when you look at it, 682 can't die, etc.
Funny thing is, in one of 914’s tests they put in a fur suit head. It ended up just making everyone think the wearer was a wolf, but hey, point is Scp foundation lore has that stuff too
I've got a theory that each Mal0 is independently created based on the app users interests. This one seemed like a Trickster, but also paired well to its Downloader. Another Mal0 might offer more genuine companionship, but nobody's going to allow an experiment like that until I can prove that I can secure and contain this one! Now how do I capture a teleporting furry prankster?
I'd say create a grenade or immediate-impact bomb that has downgrading effects that should return it to normal. Then again, we don't know how SCP-914 is made. If we used modern military technology.. So I'm not really sure what I would have expected mal0 reaction to manifesting physically i would expect it would just continue following someone, maybe it could be convinced to play a game or something i don't know but it never really struck me as mischievous it just make sure that you'll never feel lonely again whether or not you feel abject terror is unrelated
with what I know malO is more than one entity and each one has a different personality and motives, that is why some see it with a female body and others with a male one, even some MaLO take longer to happen to appear to the naked eye and spend a longer time only in reflections

i have a question:
so the Fine setting will marginally improve something when used, right? like its not a major change because thats what Very Fine is for, right?
so my question is: what stops you from putting the product of a "Fine" upgrade back in on Fine again? could you keep getting small improvements one after the other until it spits out what you were hoping for?
another question is: does the result have any known depending factors which change the output? for instance, if you put a cheap burner phone in on Fine, you probably get a name brand smart phone but will you always get the same brand and model number from the same model of burner phone? basically im asking if there is an element of "randomness" to the output and if so, is it affected by small things like time of day, room temp, or small changes in the condition of the phone such as scratches, defects, or just the amount of dust or other smudges when inserted into the machine?
love how 049 is the most chill dude until you fuck with his things
I have my own theory about the nature of The Clockworks, my theory is that the clockworks are slightly sapient and can telepathically read the minds of those around it, this could explain why it seems to be so chaotic, creating a feedback loop between botched results and exasperated colleagues, and as such I propose that rather than putting something into it, we send out flyers to the entirety of the site that the clockworks are in encouraging everyone to think positively of the machine, and that it will give the result that the foundation wants
914 is sentient and far More intelligent than humans, its weakening foundation, personnel that Are not strong, and on one case janitor jacobys body was found in cleaning closet of site-19

@@savvythedivineyethuggable7493 didn't it turn 999 evil?
I think giving Dr. Bright a pet, physical, Mal0 as a minion would end up ending traumatically for somebody.
@@savvythedivineyethuggable7493 The most obvious one was 914's idea of a Very Fine human.

Altough I think a more direct upgrade to friendliness would be helpfulness doesn't seem something 914 would do as it most of the times favors irony.
not only one of my favorite SCPs, but MalO turns out to be a shenaniganizer, it's like I've found my new spirit animal
I don't like this interpretation of MalO, every instance of 1471 is simply an misunderstood stalker that just wants a friend, and most of those scares looks like they were just accidents and MalO didn't actually meant any harm...

@@DiggerDeeper01 Yep, 914 loves to put a spin of mischief and a little sadism in the results of Very Fine.
Mal0: *Winks*
Dr.Clef: "im about to end this man's whole career"
Dr. Clef: "Go be furry somewhere else" **boom**
@@LecherousLizard Dr clef: and I took that personally
I saw the thumbnail, rolled my eyes, and thought "Oh boy, what have they done to 1471 this time?" but this was great.
Agree
MalO : Standing in the room
Narrator : Harrasing everyone in the facility
My godness actually hearing about "Fursonas" in a SCP Explained video,
is the type of cursed existence I never agreed to witness.
welcome to the internet and let us be your furry guide
you can hear that "SCP explained" was also not happy to tell you about it
Same except I agreed
Funny thing is, in one of 914’s tests they put in a fur suit head. It ended up just making everyone think the wearer was a wolf, but hey, point is Scp foundation lore has that stuff too
That one scp's Iteration F...
MalO is like that one cousin you have that completely decimates peace during a family reunion
15:21 man the part where Malo kicked Hitler's butt made me laugh
I love how most of the scp creatures are not all bad, just different
"That rascal hooligan DR. Bright poured battery acid on me again!"
The thumbnail artist definitely does "other" art-related things on their free time
GooooooooootDAMMMMMNNNN that thumbnail..
Give that person a raise.
it doesnt end at the thumbnail
3:35 You can just hear the despair in the narrator's voice XD
I've got a theory that each Mal0 is independently created based on the app users interests. This one seemed like a Trickster, but also paired well to its Downloader.
Another Mal0 might offer more genuine companionship, but nobody's going to allow an experiment like that until I can prove that I can secure and contain this one!
Now how do I capture a teleporting furry prankster?
I'd say create a grenade or immediate-impact bomb that has downgrading effects that should return it to normal.
Then again, we don't know how SCP-914 is made.
If we used modern military technology..
We could use the infamous military gadget of area-wide taser device.
(That's an actual IRL thing that you can make a device which puts magnetic field into an entire area which is gonna electrically tase anything organic.)
baited boxtrap
@@catdust That just sounds like a Speedrunner and Coyote Looney Tunes gag waiting to happen
Probably put a few pranksters in a sealed room and watch as Mal0 has vicious battles of attempting to out-troll the tricksters.
@@red_the_fox think that'll only last as long as the pranksters interest does, we need a way to stop the teleportation!
