Thai cuisine and street food in Thailand has taken influences from many other styles of Asian cooking, including Chinese food. You’ll find Thai street food on many street corners in Thailand, as well as at every market, be it in Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket or Pattaya. Thai food markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets and night market all over Thailand, you’re never far from one. At the markets you'll find so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! I’ve been eating it nearly daily in Thailand since I moved here in April, 2012 and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Love this video. I can't believe the chicken mataba (roti) cost only 40 Baht. Over here would be 125 Baht approximately though the mataba is slightly bigger. The moo ping is one of my favourite food as well. Here, we call them "satay" with dipped peanut sauce.

Great video's Darren, and beautiful family, just out of curiosity why don't you have a car or some kind of transport to get from a to b, PS. You look like a who used to hang out with Ron around blacktown and maryong in nsw I think, Ron lived with his mum but god knows where they are know. lol god bless.
Thanks Jennifer. Our family has a car, 2 motorbikes and 2 bicycles which we use to get from a to b when appropriate :). At the time we filmed this video the car was in our hotel's car park, a 5 minute walk away from this market, and our motorbikes and bicycles were at home, around 850km from this market. I've never been to either Blacktown, nor Maryong so maybe I have a doppleganger kicking around 🤣. God bless you too.

Question Darren??? Is there any kind of quality control on the food service in there street markets or street food. Do these people selling have to have a license or some kind of experience to do what they do,
Yes, they vendors need licenses and registration. Everyone's experience is different, but if they don't have good quality food they won't last long because customers won't go back.
I really like it that Darren tells the vendors not to put his food in plastic bags.

It's simply because I've made efforts to learn the language for 8 and a half years. I started trying to learn some Thai words about 6 weeks before my first holiday to Thailand in 2011. When I was here I spent a lot of time with Thai people and tried to learn from them. The same on my second trip here. Before I moved here I spent time trying to learn the language - I bought some books, I watched RUclips channels like Thai With Mod and Kru Wee Teach Thai and I looked at sites on the Internet for learning Thai. I'm still learning now using the same methods.
Overall not a bad video. It gives a glimpse of what it's really like on street level Bangkok. Music could be better though.

Yes, that's true, but steps are being taken thankfully. From tomorrow (1/1/20) single-use plastic bags will be banned at shopping malls, convenience stores, and supermarkets in Thailand and all single-use plastic bags will be banned by 2021. Styrofoam food containers will be banned by 2022.
