  • On this episode of Crazy Will Tech I show you how to airbrush 3D prints, the basics. Last time I show you guy how to paint 3D prints well after 60,000 views I think I got the message lol. So I put together a video on how to use an airbrush on your 3D prints in some cases it's faster but what I real love about it is that shading you can only get with airbrush. It really bums you're at work to the next level. I chose baby Groot for this tutorial because he's basically two colors and its a good demonstration of highlights and shadows that we can airbrush really nicely on this model. So grab a coffee popcorn or anything else you like to snack on my watch I want to while watching a tutorial, And let me show you the basics of airbrushing.
    I don't make money on these links just trying to help.

    A useful tip for some, I usually adjust my needle so that it's making the finest line Id be able to get by pulling it back. That way all I have to do when doing extremely fine details is just put the air on. It can add little dots though if you let too much paint go through

    • @sitgesvillaapartmentneilsc7924
      @sitgesvillaapartmentneilsc7924 Год назад

      @@crushingvanessa3277 know as he cleans the brush before using it as should you, because of the psi it will atomise the residual WD40 and eject it into the paper, then by washing the airbrush several times as in his video that would get rid of any remaining WD40.
      Remember that WD40 is not oil, its merely a water displacement product and any traces of paraffin or other very fine petroleum products that are in WD40 would be emulsified by the cleaning water. Of course if you just airbrush without the initial clean it will mess the paint. Hope that helps.

    Excellent entry level tutorial, thank you...
    3D printer resin is great for smoothing your prints , you can also use 3d resin for clear coating, on any product be it wood, metal plastic , anything just make sure you cure it well and IPA wash it later, again apply with an airbrush, perhaps not you best one!! It's an excellent lacquer that is fixed forever and won't tarnish like clear coat does over time.
    Some really good sage advice and tips in this vid, you dont need to spend a fortune on kit(Ç apart from a good airbrush that is!! But start with a entry level one to see if its for you before you splash out and mind the fakes if you do ...
    Over here in europe I use high pressure sprayers for acrylic paint, thats at 250 bar
    or 3650 PSI serious high pressure and what we find is with this type of paint the molecules in the paint forms strings and grows to several centimetres in length, this eventually goes solid in the gun and blocks it even at this pressure, the only solution to this is in the handle of the gun is a fine matrix wire filter, that removes about 95% of these chains, because we use pressure and not air to spray I dont know if this is why an airbrush clogs, quite possibly. if you can get a pre filter do so,.
    As the man says install a water drain off point or much better is to install a air dryer at the compressor end , it will collect the water there and stop it coming up to the gun completely.
    They are not expensive and make your finish much better and stops spluttering altogether.
    Thanks again, you should mention that there are a lot of clones of your airbrush so dont be tempted to buy one as they are not good. Get one if you can from a authorised dealer, they come certificated now so you can check its genuine. Avoid Ali Express and or eBay , even Amazon sells the clones. if its cheap its crap. Thanks again, very useful video.

    I had a bad start with airbrushing. Bought dualaction set for 25 euro, with and 21 euro Fengda AS-200 compressor. I had i had paint my self. Thinned to milk. Nothing comes out. Needle is okay. Goes forward and back and have tension. Tried everything, but in the end i saw a little spray, when the paint was almost watery (beyond milk). So it should flow, but it didnt. Nozzle and openings were ok. Maybe this Fenga AS-200 thingy is to weak. Looks more like a big aquarioum air compressor.
