- When a local man turns up dead on the beach, two vastly different detectives are thrown together to solve the case, fastidious local senior sergeant Dulcie Collins (Kate Box) and a rough-as-guts blow-in from Darwin, senior investigator Eddie Redcliffe (Madeleine Sami) along with their overeager junior constable Abby (Nina Oyama). As the town prepares to launch the annual arts, food, and culture event-Winter Feastival-the trio must put their differences aside and work together to find the killer.

The only problem with this series is that there’s only one season with eight episodes. PLEASE! I need season 2! It’s so freaking good!!!!
I don’t care what anyone says but listen here ,in our Balkan countries we got some very imaginative ways of cursing and swearing but I’ve never heard anything more funny than the ones in this show ,it’s one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen but let’s not forget the crime part,the twists are crazier than the “scream” movies ,you’ll literally think that everyone in this town is the killer and it’s a shame that there isn’t a second season 😭
The people who hate Eddie's character a) don't understand Aussie humour and b) would totally be fine if she was a male character, so stop your complaining.

Her character is awesome , and if seen Madeleine Sammis other characters on NZ tv shows then you get to know she can pull off funny in serious kind of storylines.. great actress. Aussie and Kiwi humour is very similar

Aussie here who wanted to give Eddie a slap at first, male or female. But somewhere around episode 3 she starts a) giving the other characters a little more respect/credit, and b) showing a little of the damaged, vulnerable side that all the bluster and bs is covering, and from then on I thought she was fantastic.
Kate Box is Hilarious has always , just love her in everything she does
Loved this series. Got even better towards the second half.

I watched the whole thing and it was OK. The night scenes are so dark I could never tell what was happening. It's pretty much the entire 8th episode.

If this is Eddie is the kind of detective in Tasmania then this is a bad publicity of the city and the people. It’s too OA. I can’t believe it’s really how things are done. Please improve episode 2.
Es una serie no basada en hecho reales es solo algo ficticio dónde son actores interpretando un guión no quiere decir que así sean las personas o su ciudad
It's a fictional black comedy/ mystery... It's not supposed to be realistic. And Tasmania is not a city. It's a state. The show isn't set anywhere near a city. Eddie's character starts out as the crude, incompetent archetype, but there's a lot more to her character that's revealed later on, and her eagerness to wrap up the investigation and her behaviour towards Dulcie makes sense then.
I wanted to like this show. I stopped watching because I couldn’t stand the over acting detective character. She was just trying too hard to be funny. And when you do that, you just aren’t. If the character where played by a man but acted no different, I’d still feel the same. Too bad… all the other characters/actors were great.

I was a bit frustrated by her character at the start too (and the first few episodes are also the weakest by far)... But by the end of the show I really liked her and thought the show was amazing. She's a lot more than the crude stereotype she might seem like at the start of the show and she's actually a really lovable character. Around episode 3 they start delving more into her background (which explains a lot of her behaviour earlier and shows a lot of it was a front), she is made much more vulnerable, and her and Dulcie start to actually bond somewhat. And then she becomes more and more likeable as the show goes on. So I went from being not much of a fan of her, to rooting for her at the end. Her and Dulcie, once they team up and start becoming friends, balance each other really well.
This could not look any worse. Acting even worse than the script. It's not getting any funnier.
This is just how Australian shows usually are

Veo porque la críticas no es una mujer blanca ,sino una mujer de otra piel ,morena y eso le molesta yo veo interesante la serie porque es de un tipo de misterio saber quién es el asesino y ella la detective actúa así porque es el guión que le dieron solo eso
