The fish sandwich has been on sale for $2 recently at the McDonald's near me. I've always assumed fish is more healthy than burgers, but with McDonald's, I've never been sure.
McDonalds & Burger King seems to be the only fast food restaurants that offer fish sandwiches year round. Arbys has the best ones but they seem to only have them in spring around Lent.

I've gotten to where I just don't like McDonald's hamburgers. I generally get a chicken or fish sandwich. When I do the fish, I switch out tge tartar sauce for Mayo.
My late mother despised McDonald's for putting cheese on that sandwich. That puzzled me. I think fish and cheese blend well like toast and butter.

I always asked for no cheese when I used to eat filet o fish.
It is an odd combination but the cheese is so mild and scanty it doesn’t detract from the taste.
Most people think fish and cheese is disgusting.
