@@KaganeInugami Super High Tension is not exclusive to the MC of DQ8. Every character has access to it. Though he is the only one who gets the spiky hair look using it, but only in the original PS2 release with his original outfit. The hair change isn't in the 3DS remastered version.

Got to admit its sucks that FF never got the warriors treatment despite their latest dissidia game Dissidia NT was created by Koei Tecmo. Man I would've loved to play as Squall and the various villains while killing off tons of troops and various monsters. Though I am kind of surprised Psaro is the only villain to show up. Sure Dragon Lord is a boss but this is kind of disappointing.
the creator of the Dragon Quest series is the same guy who created Dragon Ball Z you can see similarities in animation style, especially why when the characters enter super high tension mode, they look like Super Saiyans
It's a straight improvement from the first game. It's designed to play more like a traditional rpg and all the new characters are really cool and all the old characters got new stuff too, like Psaro has a lot of really crazy new extensions and cancels on his combo strings.
That's fantastic to hear. Psaro was my definite favourite with the fact after he got a combo of 50, he became crazy. Terry was also a lot of fun. Thanks for letting me know! I also can't wait for berserk musou. I assume you're getting that one as well?
one question: I saw one of your characters using a Katana: As I am a real sucker for Japanese Swords, I wanted to ask if the Katana in this game has actually good stats, and if yes, is Psaro also able to equip it like in the first game (where it sadly was a weaker weapon than the one he came with for me =() Thanks in advance x3

godzkinkong Yeah, I lost interest with the game for a similar reason. The "returning to the ship after a mission" format really tired me out after the story was over and done with. Especially becouse I needed to grind to really make some progress at that point. I only returned for that platinum about 2 weeks ago after half a year of not playing. I did enjoy it again this time, but i feel like little things like the overworld are what is really going to keep me from losing interest in the first place in heroes 2.

It is much more fun to add the side characters who actually have a personality and have more potential for a unique moveset, and just give the standard "protaganist gameplay" to the unique main characters of this game. And even if they added a personality to them, they would basically just be a new character.
+Emptilion It would be nice if they gave the Heroes MCs skins of each main character for the sake of it though. Maybe even have a wig/helmet you can equip to get the full look of the MCs of the old games. I'd love to run through the game as the female Zenithian...
why didn't they include the hero from VIII, i mean they put Jessica, Yangus and Angelo in but where's the dragovian/human hybrid hero, who is also a prince he'd fit in perfectly
well, at the end that were actually always the same two characters, it is just that the heroes of this game are able to use any weapon, so he showcased every Giga break/Slash with every weapon once. And the two before the last two characters are the heroes from the first game, which used Giga break/Slash as well!
NeroDeAngelo This. I am honestly pretty impressed they made slightly different animations for every weapon type. They could have just done it so that every time you use your ultimate you would switch back to your default weapon. They have done something similar before.
