- Build a window/reading bench with storage, and learn to upholster a leather seat.
Using 1 sheet of plywood, I built a window bench with three storage cabinets. I made 3 cabinet doors using MDF, and upholstered a seat cushion using leather. Хобби
I loved how he didn’t use a router table and used a table saw to make the lapels! I learned something today!
love the style your room has. and what a beautiful window space you created for lounging on a rainy day.
Looks really professional. I'm such a fan of euro hinges too, so easy to adjust.
Frigging excellent! So ready to get started!
That looks awesome, definitely on my project list. Great job sir
Narration with accompanying nail gunning. Useful.
I love it! I may give it a try. I need one in my craft room. Mostly for my dogs to sit on. They like to look out the window while I craft!
Wonderful. U made it look so easy.👍🏼😃
Wow Too funny I actually made one like that two years ago for a friend. But i did not put a cushioned bench seat on it. I left it as hardwood finish. All natural no paint. Yours looks amazing and If I was to make another i would definitely add the cushioned seat.
That was a fine piece of work my friend. Great attention to detail!
Totally awesome love it!
That was extremely helpful, thanks!
Wow, absolutely gorgeous, excellent job my man!
+Digital Swagg thanks
I was worried when you started with such rough construction grade plywood, but man, it turned out very nice! I really liked the tip about compressing the foam when you stapled the leather in place.
+mastrjay1 thanks!
same here, then the visible part was in mdf..would have been strong enough just with mdf, unless needs to seat for 500 pound people...
thanks for the upholstery tip.
i love all your wood work! great job..well done...very inspiring...
Looks really good!!
Awesome video, project came together very nice. Thanks for the knowledge, will definitely be hoping my turns out as well as yours did!
Beautifully done!
Wonderful job!
I like the way that you made the doors with the half lap joints. Very good build ;-]
Hi Corey
Beautiful project.
Congratulations.
Very informative and it looks great.thank you
it's very simple, yet very good looking! simply great......
cool project, it came out nicely and it blends perfectly with the rest of wall deco.
bravo!
+Pasquale Mandara thanks!
Looks amazing!!! I'm looking do something similar in my walk-in closet, hoping it turns out as nice as yours.
super nice bench. id say all the knobs would look better on one side alone and open up those heating vents more but awesome build never the less. like it alot
Another good video, keep up the good work!
Great job man. Love the shaker style
+The Naked Carpenter thanks
This is awesome and beautiful
Looks really good.
awesome job. THanks for reminding me why I dont do this!
Nicely done!
Great job!
Bad ass. Great job
Pretty sweet...I want to make one...ventilation looks good. If the holes aren't big enough it just becomes a heated seat in the winter and or cooled seat in the summer...perfect
looks amazing
Awesome job man
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Nice job. Well presented.
YOU DID A GREAT JOB....
Just beautiful
this is awesome i love it
I have a similar issue, the vent is located right where the bench would go. I like the kick-plate idea. Thank you!
Super Talented!
nice use of the space
Que bonito quedo!! Muy buen trabajo, me gustan todo este tipo de proyectos. Felicidades
.

Amazing building man! You should have way more subs and likes!
Nice build
Woww very neat and comfy 😍
It's simple construction from all the other window seater...yet better as it is above the ground...easy to clean inside out
You are crazy talented!!! ty for the inspiration:)
+Fabiana DeNoble no problem!
really nice work 👍
Lovely work. Maybe I can actually do one myself......
It's beautiful and practical. Would it feel warm at the base of the cabinets in winter months when the heat is on? Thanks for sharing : )
aawesome job dude
beautiful, bro... great job. my wife and i just purchased our first home and im going to build one in the kitchen. thx
+Jimmie Pickens congratulations on the first home.
Love it! Building one soon. Do you have any cut list to help this along for novice guys like me?
Welldone......very nice
Good work.
looks nice. appears so simple to make. thanks. buddy smith, anchorage,ak
Nice project but I do think you need more and bigger holes for the two heating registers, there's a lot of airflow coming out of those when the heating is on! :-)
That's exactly what I was going to say :)
My thoughts as well. It's basically holding all the heat from those vents in the small space behind the kickplate. I would suggest making channels from the floor vents to larger vents in the kickplate if you need more of the heat/air in that room.
Sweet!
A very nice result and the video was well done as well!
+I'm Simon thanks
very nice work...I enjoy your videos..
amazing stuff brother! personally I would have made them drawers instead but still amazing video explained well
turned out pretty good. SEeing some comments about your vents, you could just get some nice white vents and cut those out and stick em in... 3" look like they'd fit.
Hi Corey, can you give info on where you bought your foam and leather? How has it held up?
You do wonderful work
+Mo Branch thanks
Very nice
This is fucken beautiful. Going to steal this idea now.
this is beautiful work. I like your creative idea.
+So Sim thanks
i like this.. i want this in my home
Nice
awesome
Wish u can do one for me its awesome
Super travail! j'aime bcp :)
Merci
darwing Roome
i sure would like to be able to do that nice
Nice job however would of like to see the push open doors for better affect,
How did you paint the cabinets
What finished did You use?
I like the work. I am concerned about the vent that was on the floor. I would have liked to have seen some directional channeling for it
Awesome build! Why did you use staple for the MDF instead of brads?
+Kelvin Wong i didn't have brads short enough, only had 1 3/4". Tried to use what I had.
Nice project, BUT you should really think about using a push block on that table saw. When you lose a digit, you'll start using one.
Good method, impressive product for such shabby materials. Sketchy move using those materials, but if that quality is acceptable then by all means
Dang dude compressing the foam like that was a great idea
+zachary olguin thanks!
How much!
How much!
How much did you spend in material?
🧐☝🏻
What size of plywood for leather bench bottom board? Is this smaller than top of the cabinet size because there are attached the foam and leather? How much smaller if so?
Beautiful work. Primer and two coats of paint?. Iam in the middle of a build and painting is the part I hate and the most important.
+carlos lovera primer and two coats will do just fine.

I have to agree with the comment about the knobs. I think you could have probably made them more cemetrical so that they all opened up with the same swing (R to L). Otherwise, nice work!
Hi its very nice
I just need some ideas how can i make bookshelf with that
Wow! Looks amazing how much did the entire project cost?
Most of it was scrap plywood. I just had to buy the hardware, cushion, and leather.
Wow
