In spite of the difficulties you may experience, especially temptations, always remember that He is full of mercy (cf. Lamentations 3:22-23, Proverbs 28:13, Hebrews 4:15-16) and that He who will live in you (by baptism) is greater than He who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Throughout the world we are praying fot the catechumens like yourself at Holy Mass and at home

The Catholic Mass is the most powerful prayer in the Christian world because Jesus is present
in the holy Eucharist. Our brothers and sisters who are protestant.
They need to understand that there's no limit in time and space for God. So Jesus is present in the holy Eucharist. 24/7 he is there waiting for us. After the Holy Mass is over. once people go home from church. Jesus is still there in the Tabernacle there's always a candle 🕯liting. 24/7 next to the Tabernacle. Peace!✝️

I needed this! I met an evangelical on my campus (Sam Houston State), and I, being new to Catholicism, didn’t know how to back my foundation. He used “quotes” from the Catechism to deny the authenticity of the Church and the Holy Mass. But what I found when I looked in the Catechism is that the laws of the Church are also found within the Bible. Those who choose to disbelieve in the Church, truly are saying that they disbelieve in the word. The traditions of the church are not founded by scripture, but the scripture was put in place by the tradition! Thank you Father Casey!

@@christianlamb3911 Please remember that Billy Graham invited Catholic Churches to participate in his crusades, in fact I remember one time when a Catholic Church hosted the training sessions. CS Lewis, in Mere Christianity, stated that he didn't care what kind of Christian they became, as long as they came to faith in Christ. I have frequently said that it would be completely appropriate to label Father Casey as an evangelical. There is a core of Christian belief that we call agree upon, those who believe, trust in Christ and repent are saved and part of the body of Christ. Even the Catholic Church agrees with this, holding that we Protestant/evangelicals are imperfectly joined to the Catholic Church.
Let us first and foremost share the Gospel with a lost world, rather than moving sheep between farms!

The Catholic Church compiled the Holy Bible that your evangelical "friend" who challenged you is divinely privileged and blessed by God to read, believe and live. The Catechism strictly obeys these sacred truths of the Bible and teaches them to the Faithful Catholic. I would pray, and you and everyone else that he would see the error of his way, repent and embrace the True Church of Jesus Christ, Catholic Church. Every verse from Sacred Scripture is contained in the Mass, hopefully he comes to embrace this as Jesus's divine gift to us, a gift of his salvation for us.

Justin Martyr on eucharist and mass, First apology 150 to 160 AD
CHAPTER LXVI -- OF THE EUCHARIST.
And this food is called among us Eukaristia [the Eucharist], of which no one is allowed to partake but the man who believes that the things which we teach are true, and who has been washed with the washing that is for the remission of sins, and unto regeneration, and who is so living as Christ has enjoined. For not as common bread and common drink do we receive these; but in like manner as Jesus Christ our Saviour, having been made flesh by the Word of God, had both flesh and blood for our salvation, so likewise have we been taught that the food which is blessed by the prayer of His word, and from which our blood and flesh by transmutation are nourished, is the flesh and blood of that Jesus who was made flesh. For the apostles, in the memoirs composed by them, which are called Gospels, have thus delivered unto us what was enjoined upon them; that Jesus took bread, and when He had given thanks, said, "This do ye in remembrance of Me, this is My body;" and that, after the same manner, having taken the cup and given thanks, He said, "This is My blood;" and gave it to them alone. Which the wicked devils have imitated in the mysteries of Mithras, commanding the same thing to be done. For, that bread and a cup of water are placed with certain incantations in the mystic rites of one who is being initiated, you either know or can learn.
CHAPTER LXVII -- WEEKLY WORSHIP OF THE CHRISTIANS.
And we afterwards continually remind each other of these things. And the wealthy among us help the needy; and we always keep together; and for all things wherewith we are supplied, we bless the Maker of all through His Son Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Ghost. And on the day called Sunday, all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits; then, when the reader has ceased, the president verbally instructs, and exhorts to the imitation of these good things. Then we all rise together and pray, and, as we before said, when our prayer is ended, bread and wine and water are brought, and the president in like manner offers prayers and thanksgivings, according to his ability, and the people assent, saying Amen; and there is a distribution to each, and a participation of that over which thanks have been given, and to those who are absent a portion is sent by the deacons. And they who are well to do, and willing, give what each thinks fit; and what is collected is deposited with the president, who succours the orphans and widows and those who, through sickness or any other cause, are in want, and those who are in bonds and the strangers sojourning among us, and in a word takes care of all who are in need. But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead. For He was crucified on the day before that of Saturn (Saturday); and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to His apostles and disciples, He taught them these things, which we have submitted to you also for your consideration.

@@enderwiggen3638I like that you included the timeline of the First Apology's composition. I've seen a lot of Protestants wholly ignore such quotes from the Church Fathers because they assume that they come from the post-Nicene era (after 325 AD, which is the subject of several conflicting conspiracy theories), when in fact there is a demonstrable continuity of belief between the ante-Nicene fathers (before 325 AD, such as Ignatius of Antioch, Cyprian of Carthage, Justin Martyr) and post-Nicene fathers (such as St. John Chrysostom, St. Gregory Nazianzen, St. Aphraates)

ST. POPE JOHN PAUL II: “It is important to be ever mindful that communion with Christ is deeply tied to communion with our brothers and sisters. The Sunday Eucharistic gathering is an experience of brotherhood. The sign of peace is a particularly expressive gesture which the faithful are invited to make as a manifestation of the commitment to mutual love which is made in sharing the one bread.”
POPE BENEDICT XVI: “The Eucharist has a “personal and social character: Christ unites himself with me, but also with those beside me, and so unites himself equally with my neighbor. We are all one bread, one body. And this is communion - without solidarity with others the Eucharist is abused.”

Very interesting video! I’d be curious to know about the origins of the concept of a Mass (and when it’s required and why). certainly there’s the command for followers of Jesus to meet together, and the tradition of meeting on the first day of the week.
    A Protestant follower.

A bit long? Not sure I agree with that. Also if you don't feel lifted by the liturgy a bit of research and listening to the words might help. Thank you for the video, very helpful list of sources. One thing, I am surprised at the difficulty of getting some protestants to accept the bread of life discourse as meaning what it says.

I know quite a lot of non-Catholics can't get their heads around the matter of transubstantiation. I simply refer to Jesus' own words when taking up the bread he said "This is my body" Not "This bread represents my body" As for "the bread of life", Well, Jesus also said "Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you shall not have life within you"

@@Mike-li5yqThat's all good but they will swear blind it does not say what it clearly does say.
You could also point out than in the first Passover (and the remembrance of it) (Exodus 12 and 13) You MUST EAT the Lamb!
Followed by Malichi 1:10-12 where a pure sacrifice will be offered, John the Baptist greeting Jesus for the first time saying "Behold the Lamb of God and what seems clear from Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:16-21 and 1 Corinthians 11:27-30
